I believe I have finally found the channel the separates the wheat from the chaff as far as prospecting goes.
Thank you for your Wisdom and free tutorials Amigo.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates it.
The exploration company which I optioned a block of claims to in AZ uses a tile saw in the field for VG gold ID in ore. The cut face, like you demonstrated in the video, is easier to ID visible gold in samples. These tile sawsa are a bit cheaper than a demo saw and use less water too for desert areas. Thanks for all the work you put into videos, I've been rewatching the smelting and assaying ones in order to learn how to do them myself since 1 batch of fire assays costs as much as all the equipment and supplies I'd need to do my own. Your vids on this stuff are the best because you test out so many different things, always with an eye for maximizing efficiency. Nice work man!
I bought a craftsman 7” one for $54 with shipping included
Very Educational. Thanks
I have watched a number of your videos the past few years Jason and I have to say that this one is right up there as one of the best. Love how you showed and described the different minerals in the slabs you cut and showed how to flash the particles of gold in the slab.
Imagine having a table or tile job with cut ore. Functional or just for looks, gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this!
I have installed granite countertops for customers with natural gold flakes in them. Nature is grand.
Those silvery minerals are likely some type of telluride or selenide, or maybe some type of sulphosalt
Jason, your channel is just the best!
Best video I have seen on the topic and excellent visuals as well.
Thank u I'm just awes by the color combinations in rocks.this was helpful for me to kno when I'm close to gold but it's all the variations I love
Like the show, we have a guy in a unknown location in Black Canyon Az who cuts the Quartz in slabs large enough to make counter tops. Those slabs go for bottom dallor around 5000 for a 3ft by 4ft slab with gold .
I really enjoy your videos, Jason! Many thanks for them.
Education is KING. Thank you.
What would be cool is if someone cut rocks up in slabs. Then they could line them up and pour Clear epoxy over them making really cool looking tables. I’ve seen people do it with wood. I bet people would pay for a table of gold rock ore.
This is very useful information that really helps in identification of rocks containing precious gold thanks for the research and compilation of the info. David
Good job! I sure enjoy your videos, so nice to see this side of the small mining world. Also, your knowledge and info sharing is a great refresher for a wannabe miner like me. I love it all! Much appreciated.
You're doing great and good works with your channel, Jason. Very worthwhile to both the serious prospector and the curiosity-minded as well. Cheers!
VERY INFORMATIVE, USEFUL, INTERESTING RESEARCH OF THE GEOLOGIC STRUCTURE OF ROCKS.
Great Show. Thanks for the info.
That concept is brilliant Jason 👌 Totally the best way to investigate opportunities 🙂 Core sampling techniques on easily accessible potentials 👍
Very useful it is not easy locating gold ore very informational
That was great, Jason. I love looking at rocks and you have some really good’ns!
Thanks for your great video's they are really educational and inspiring also cool !!!
THANKS FOR SHOWING US JUST HOW MUCH WE MAY HAVE OVER LOOKED. GREAT VID. !🤓
Always a good show. Many thanks
I can see why those rocks sale for alot!! They're beautiful!!
Have a GREAT Day!!!
Great video Jason.
I have been cutting rocks and gold ore for many years and have never thought of using a demo saw to do it. That's definitely a tool worth considering to get an analysis in the field of what's going on with your specimens and ore. Great idea.
I have only used lapidary saws, which are expensive and it usually means you have to always bring your specimens to cut home to your saw. I believe using a lapidary saw on smaller pieces is a better way to go because the cuts are much nicer and won't take too much work to get the saw marks out. A flat lap is a great tool to clean up your cut faces and with gold ore, you only need to polish to about 200 grit to clean up the cut face and get the gold to smear and "pop". The saw itself will accentuate the size of the gold encountered, but a quick hit with the flat lap will do even more. Done hundreds of them. Also, I would avoid using a sealer on any specimens. It will mimic a polish, but in my opinion is a cheesy shortcut.
what a great method to see the minerals in a rock sample in the field , well worth doing . a great visual assay of samples..
Good stuff ! Been finding quartz and other stones here in nor cal and was just thinking of this. Cheers!
Hi there my name is Bruce I am in Fresno California right next to gold country LOL. Been watching your videos for a little while but just subscribed this is probably one of my favorites. Showing the precious metals under the microscope with something nobody else does especially pointing out what all the minerals are. I find that very informative because when I'm out in these motherlode mountains I really would like to know what I'm looking at and cutting the Rocks open and looking into the glass is freaking awesome thank you
Thank you very much for that piece of information. It was so important for me ,because I suspect that each and every day I pass by a piece of gold some where .
Yes, it is very helpful. Great video. It is hard to find instructional info on identification of gold ore. Thanks!
Very good video brother ,thanks. I really learn something good about ur video. Great video bro.
As a kid I was interested in geology. I had a rock & mineral collection that included Pyrite, Quartz, Amethyst, and Galena. I haven't collected in many many years, but, this channel brings back a lot of nostalgic feelings. I'm really loving the content.
Same
Im 62 and i would try to be a geologist. It facinated me. Of course other more important things like making a living took precedence. ! Now im rediscover my childhood wonders cause i can ! Jason is such a wonderful jewl himself! Thank you Jason. Your video's mean more tban you may know!
I enjoy all of your videos very much .♡ Keep them coming
That is awesome being able to see raw gold right inside the rock geometry with a microscope!
Thank you for posting this valuable info! Have a big thumbs up and may God bless you & your family.
Excellent video....keep up with the tips
Hello Jason, I really appreciate your video. It gave me creative ideas, so I can prospect in my circumstances. Thank you so much.
Jason you sure put out some good content can't wait for the next one.
This is the shop scope he is using.

Thanks for the great video. Food for thought on what rocks to bring home. Keep it up.
Very helpful for the beginner. Thank you!
Awesome stuff. I've recently returned from a trip to the Clipper Mine in Carbon River mining district where I live, and I collected a bunch of interesting rocks from the tailings pile. I don't know very much about what I'm doing, but I picked up one of those 200x phone microscopes like you show in your videos a lot. I sliced up my copper ore tailings on my tile saw and found all kinds of stuff. This video just cleared up a lot of what I found. Thanks again, Jason!
I enjoy this video..you are cutting a rock with a special cutter and use of useful magnifying len to watch the grains and minerals in the rock..it is a great video..i am still learning..thank you.God bless
I find your videos to be very informative. Keep up the good work!
This was a fun video I don't see things like that kinda neat thanks.
Yes useful information for sure.
Oh... I DO have some samples of this stuff!
It was used as patio gravel 50 years ago! It's all streaked with sulfides and very metallic pyrites that don't oxidize, even after half a century of weathering!
I love the slabs! Thanks for showing us!
Super helpful!
Keep the info. coming brother!
great video, thanks for sharing, excited to cut up a few samples now ourselves!
As Far As I'm Concerned, ALL These New Gizmos Are Something, When I Was Growing-Up Ya Had To Wait Till HS To Even Have Access To A Micro-Scope & Then It Was To Be Applied To ONLY What Was Being Taught In Science Class....I'd Be Doing EXACTLY What You're Doing & Making Those Numbers Work....Keep On Keeping On....
I love your real videos . Thank you
Jason... Ive just subscribed... your videos are great. I detect in areas around the Victorian goldfields in Australia. My prospecting is limited to about one field trip per week using a Minelab gpx 6000. I seek small specimens usually (alluvial) on the surface around old workings. I believe that understanding the geological aspect is a also a big help. Your videos do exactly that. Thank you for the heads-up and great insight.
Hi Jason I think you are doing a great job thanks a lot. I love golds
I think its the best way to idetify gold in rock. Thanx for info.
This was cool man, thank you.
They just opened a old gold mine near me a few days ago.i tracked down the river bank and think I found a few nuggets.going to wash them off to find out.its actually exciting.
thank you!! awesome job, yes it does help.
Cool! I like your style and motivation.
Great. I am a Zambian closely following you tutorials on God. God richly bless you.
Great video !
Thank you for your videos it will help me here in the desert
Very cool video thanks for posting
Just brought some that look like those home. And now I'm breaking out the tile saw. I'll check back. Wish me luck. Thanks for the great advice and video.
Did you get any gold?
Amazing sample beautiful specimens
Hey thanks. Great to see and to understand what you are looking at.
A great video it really helped me
Hi I enjoy and learning a lot from your demonstration Thanks very much wish success in all the times. Rgds Amini
Wow, I never knew that. Thanks! I have a small bucket of or from Colorado that I'm going to check. Awesome!
Thanks Jason, I enjoy your videos and have learned much from them. The microscope in this video is intriguing. I would appreciate information and your comments on it.
Hey I really liked your video that was fun thank you I will do this now since I saw you do this
Really informative thank you
Great demonstration Jason. Very helpful. Use of microscopes has always been a must for me.
This video is meaningful im working currently on a gold mine n what is shown from quartz is replica what i meet from the site i took them for sampling n manage to find traces of gold, thanks man for your help hoping to see more videos from you. God bless
Thanks this video helped a lot i was always wondering how to identify the gold
Thanks it's been helpful.
I think the video was very helpful for identifying minerals in situ.
I’ll be using that technique to evaluate samples before crushing and panning and as a visual guide to identify keepers and barren samples
Way cool, great show, mate. 👍👌
I Appreciate all of the videos.
Thanks for watching
Awesome report
Love it!
Thank you! Great video!
it beat going to school to study very educational for sure Jason
As a kid instead of having a lemonade stand I had a rock stand selling rocks. I lived in mining towns.
I did the same thing.... but I lived in Compton. Probably sold different rocks 🤣 jk
Same
Ralph Reagan Do you still have some of those rocks? I wanna buy some.
My sister and I did too in Silverton, CO. That was 50 years ago
@@auassassin787 hahahhahaha
Hey thanks for sharing that info really
Very helpful, thank you.
Great video 👍👍👍
I had great time learning with your video.,
Very neat, sir.
Whou!! Muy buena información, no sabía cómo identificar el oro de las piedras! Gracias por este dato 👏🏻👏🏻
Very enjoyable 👍
Good JOB I like your video. My great grandfather who was a gold miner in KGF mines. GOD bless you
Thank you very much I realized that I had some god specks In some of my quarts. Very useful.
on slabs that are really intresting i use a clear poly resin on one side to sow the intresting patterns, and leave the other side unfinished
This really helps. Hope to crush and pan out some gold ore.
This mineral identification was so helpful. Maybe it would get long, but I’d have liked to see the close up of the outside of the rock minerals, too, and how they differ. Very cool.
Cool bro great videos blesses from the Bronx nyc
Present brother,, wow best Information Vidio, find gold👍
I don't know why, but gold is more evident with sunlight or candlelight as opposed to light from a filament or led light. If everything is held with no movement, your phone can take clear pictures that can be expanded to expose the gold. I wish I could include a picture with this comment to demonstrate my point.
That would make for some nice tiles. Sliced gold bearing ore !!! Especially if the gold really stands out. I'm planning if I ever find a lode source too get core samples and polish them up
