    Should have applied a touch of grease to the back of the pads to stop brake squeak. 🤔👍

    Horror, you don’t need to clean the rust from the calipers?

    Torque spec is 80 ft lbs on the 17mm caliper bracket bolt that didn't look like it was 80 ft lbs I'd snug it up a lil more

    Hi what tool did you use to push back the piston?

    • @notbanksy8294
      @notbanksy8294 3 роки тому +1

      A pipe wrench? You can use a flat piece of metal and a c-clamp also.

    bleeding the brakes isn't a necessity?

    You didn’t change the clips or rubber boots and grease pins. Caliper look very rusty.
    Still thanks for the video.

    I think my brake hardware is scraping the rotor. Driving me crazy.

    My civic rotors did not have the two screws holding the rotor in place. Is that normal?

    • @paul55767
      @paul55767 Рік тому

      Yes
      Alot of cars don't have retaining screws

    • @G5Hohn
      @G5Hohn Рік тому

      The screws only carry the rotor load when the wheels are off. With the lugs torqued, the rotor is sandwiched in that bolted joint so the screws basically do nothing. They don’t do much, which is why many designs omit them.

      how come when he removes the screws the rotor is loose
