    I didn't need an impact screwdriver for the countersunk screws, a little bit of Mouse Milk (penetrating oil) and they unscrewed with a normal screwdriver.

    Don't you grease the brake rods? What type of grease can I use?
    Can you put copper grease on the colonnettes and the wheel hub?
    Thanks for the video, I never tire of watching it, good pro work.

      At 2:58 minutes of the video, you can see that the guides are in good condition and do not need to be lubricated. You can use the guide grease www.autodoc.co.uk/trw/2204964?search=TRW%20Grease%20(PFG110).
      Yes, you can apply copper grease to the hub, for a more precise recommendation on what grease to use, please refer to your vehicle's repair documentation.

    Is this Newton torque identical to all cars?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  2 роки тому

      Torque is not the same for all cars. You need to look at the correct values in the repair and maintenance instructions for your car and also take into account the mounting configuration directly in your case, since the tightening torque may differ depending on the type of mounting.

    What about bleeding the brakes?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Рік тому

      Yes, it is recommended to pump the brakes and change the brake fluid if necessary.

    whats the purpose of taking that cap off at the start and putting it back at the end?

    • @haydenfoster2688
      @haydenfoster2688 3 місяці тому +1

      So the fluid level can rise when you wind back the calipers

      @@haydenfoster2688 Ah due to pressure... Cheers.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  3 місяці тому

      This is necessary to relieve pressure in the tank, since by pressing the piston we raise the level in the tank. There is a small hole but it will be easier with the lid removed. You can also monitor the level and in case of discrepancy, add or drain the liquid.

      @@autodocuk So I should really buy more fluid when doing it so I can top it up if need be... Got it.

      It's always a good idea to have some new fluid on hand.
