      Doesn’t matter how ‘old’ it is, rust knows no age…
      ALWAYS take brake cleaner and a wire brush or metal whiz wheel if you have one and clean hub and caliper bracket (all mounting surfaces)

    Some rotors are designed with curved vanes. If you have that type there is a left and right based on the curve of the vanes. They aren't necessarily installed with the slot towards the front of the car.

    Just an FYI dude... the slot on the rotor is to wipe the pad and stop "glossing" between the pad and rotor. The drilled holes are for the out-gassing and cooling.

      they are there to hold the rotors during manufacturing. There's 3 ways to remove them : use a manual impact driver with a number 2 socket and punch it , use a grinder to cut it off or use a dremel with a bit to break it off.

    Do you have to worry about the on board computer on the rear rotors replacement

    • @MTLJack
      @MTLJack  3 роки тому

      Good question! The answer is no. The only time you have to worry about the on-board computer is when you have a "digital" or "electronic" handbrake. Also, Honda / Acura does not have any brake pad wear sensors. They aren't like the audi / bmw / benz where you have to change the sensor after the light is on. It is a simple button instead of a emergency brake lever which you pull manually.
