This should be the "template" for all repair videos. No flashy intros, silly music, just clear steps to the objective!
Great job! None of the fluff, showmanship or the self-promotion that almost all youtubers display. Just a simple, straightforward explanation of how to complete this piece of work correctly and - most importantly of all - safely. Well done!
I've learned more from your video than the 2,000 others out there combined. Thank you.
Thank you very much🙂 it surely means a lot to me
This was so clean, simple, and professional. Thanks man.
Thank you🙂
this is the clearest video on this thank you so much
Excellent video. No wasting time with fluff/b.s. talk. Thumbs ups.
I ask this question because I'm a beginner: Shouldn't you replace the rubber boots and clips with new ones? Or is it not needed?
Last week I watched your video on replacing the starter on a 2005 Honda Civic. Guess what? I had to replace my starter and the video help a lot! As a matter, I couldn't have done it without watching it. Thanks much.
The rubber boots only if torn and the brake hardware yea they should be replaced it does help avoid risks of that squealing brake noise..but i actually made a newer video much more detailed for the 2001-2005..thank you🙂 so glad to be able to have videos out there to help
Great job, thanks man, my neighbor will be able to do his own with confidence after watching this.
Thank you🙂 so glad to be able to help👍
Very well done job! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much i appreciate it:)

So glad to be able to help🙂 thank you🙂
Backyard Chevy 😎 your welcome and thank you much.
What a great measured and calm, informative video. Thanks brother. good work
Thank you for this demo. I just had some trouble making out what you were saying. Can you explain about the piston again?
for the piston some people recommend opening the bleeder valve to get ur old fluid out but that can cause many other problems like damage to that bleeder screw, or allowing air into the brake system or not being closed completely, but u do wanna keep an eye on the level of ur brake fluid so that it doesnt overfill when u compress ur brake caliper piston...and u use a brake caliper spreader and an old brake pad to compress the piston.
hope that was the part u were having trouble with but if not please let me know:)
You just saved me a lot $$$ thanks
That's awesome:) always glad to help...thank you for your support:)
NICE EDITTING. MUY FUEGO

Solid demo
Bro!! Thank you!!
Anytime🙂 thank you for the support
What Rachets and breaker bars would you recommend for removing the caliper brackets with good accessibility. The ones you have seen good.
Well ive kinda upgraded to snap on for my most used ratchets..and their 1/2 long ratcher kinda does both for me for the bigger bolts..but they are really expensive if u dont do em often even though the difference is worth it..but i do like the gearwrench brand as an alternative for ratchets
Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching and for ur support:)
Thank you for this
Great video man

hi mate. did are same on honda accord 2001 english shape, not american like!? thanks
Itll look similar but theyll be slightly different, the procedure will be the same though.
did you bleed the brakes?
Thanks man, great video!
Thank you for watching and for your support:)
@@backyardchevy328 changing my rotors and pads tomorrow so it def helped
thats awesome...good luck, hopefully it all goes smooth:)
@@backyardchevy328 went well except I got the driver side done then when I was compressing the passenger side caliper it popped, had to replace it. Mine as well do both sides. Ugh, had to disassemble the driver's side. All in all it works better now. My 98 DX has slightly different caliper assemble, only one bolt on bottom and the top just sides off and on. Thanks again for the video
Oh no, im sorry to hear that...im glad u were able to get it done though...thank you
Where can I buy that wrench with the lb torque marks? It would def come in handy
That one was a Pittsburgh harbor freight torque wrench..but i have an Armstrong one thats my favorite i bought an inch lbs and ft lbs one..i use em on everything i work on
Thanks bro good looks
Thank you🙂
Thank you Tio ! :D
Thank you🙂
Which way would you bleed the brake fluid 🤔? I heard Hondas are front driver side to back passenger side.
No, its always starting furthest away from the master cylinder then the final one is closest to master cylinder...so rear passenger..then rear driver...front passenger and front driver
@@backyardchevy328 awesome, thanks man.

Very helpful thank you
So glad to hear it..thank you for the support🙂
Thanks For The Video🙏
Anytime🙂 thank you for the support
Hey ahhh what rims are those?!
they come on the 01 honda civic ex i believe
Copper anti seize works best for brake pad metal clips.
Well anti seize is only meant for pieces that arent meant to move..so anti seize will actually clump up and have a negative effect..so on break parts that move its best to use brake caliper lube on the contact points
If I dont have that tool to compress the brake calliper, is it hard to push it in with say a piece of wood or something flat?
U can use a c clamp or u can even use the old brake pads and put something in the middle like a pry bar and spread em apart.
@@backyardchevy328 thanks for the response, I didn't have a c-clamp either so I just bought the brake pad spreader haha. Thanks for the video, helped me a lot in changing my rotors/pads on my 96 civic im driving for the winter :D
@@kiefer136 glad u were able to get em done🙂 im sure that spreader will be useful in the future...thank you🙂
When your younger brother's POS civic has the top caliper bolt snapped off 🙃
Well as usual older brother gotta jump in to help em out🙂👍 he should be glad to have u
Dope💪🏼
Thank you so much:)
I heard, or read, several people saying the rotor screws are not necessary, they are for assembly purposes. Do you find this to be true? That seems weird to me, but I guess the wheel and caliper/pads would hold it together.
Yea theyre not really necessary but when assembling ur brakes having the rotor hold in place is very convenient, the wheel being tightened/torqued is what would do the job if it didnt have the screw
gr8 vid
Thank you🙂
💯
Thank you🙂
Tried to take the rotor off without taking off the 2 screws lol
Lol how long did u try doing that?
At least an hour man lol. Broke a large piece off the rotor, then looked up your video and realized I had to take out the 2 screws. Bless you man ✌
@@perushank well at least if u were removing rotor it probably was bad anyways...but im glad u were able to get it off
Fantastic video!
Thank you🙂
