I was thinking overkill. The laundry room? Seriously? I guarantee you his life is a nightmare. Things turning off and and on at random, crap music being played when you asked for a UA-cam video, bluetooth getting hijacked, and now you can't connect unless you unplug everything. Not to mention Google assistant frequently cops an attitude and messes with you; even laughs about it.
This is an interesting video. You mentioned things that I had a hard time coming across when looking up this new mesh point. BTW, Is the new device able to work with the Google WiFi app?
Yes it is! I cover that near the end. I did the setup in the Google Home app but all settings from what I have seen can be adjusted in the Google WiFi app.
I own this and there are some things you have left out which someone buying on your review would want to know. First, WPA3 does not work at this time. Second, Nest Protects do not appear among the connected devices. Third, the speed of this home mesh is not like others due to not using tri-band meaning traffic to and from the router goes through the same network rather than a dedicated network. Fourth, the need for two apps is highly irritating since you cannot check a device's speed on the Home app but can only do it through the wifi app. Google has ALOT of work to do to make this product what is advertised so anyone buying should know there there are a number of features that dont work yet. I would highly recommend people visit the site's forums to see ALL of the mountain of issues with Google's smart devices before buying - because even things google has put in print as characteristics of their devices do not work. Having blasted Google for all of the shortcomings of this device which is also not wifi 6 ready, its still a good, easy to setup product and stability is very good. Thanks for the video!
@@TechWithBrett thanks. i didnt mean to sound critical of u if thats how it came off. In fact I really appreciate all your vids and always learn something new each time. Keep up the great work. Your insights and knowledge really do help out more than you know!
I think the 37 second delay in "turning off" the wifi was more likely the UA-cam app on the TV having data buffered. I can literally turn the power off to my WiFi network so it doesn't exist and UA-cam will continue to play from the buffer for almost a minute. It looks like the actual enabling and disabling is instant. Thanks for the review.
I have the Google Wi-Fi and I have loved this system. For the price this system I have had really great coverage and performance. Unlike most people I use wired back-haul between points because it really makes a difference with performance, especially one of the points is in my shed to cover the back yard and it's too far away to have a good connection with the other points. Yes I ran network cable out to my shed and it was worth it. Even in the back yard by my shed I'm getting 450Mbs download speeds with my 3 year old Google Wi-Fi... I have 1Gbs internet service in case you were wondering. Now with the new Nest Wi-Fi they have removed things that help improve network performance and added things that have absolutely nothing to do with Wi-Fi or it's performance especially on the points!! And on top of that they raised the price. They could have done so many things to improve on what was already a great product but instead they made it worse by replacing the network ports with things that nobody asked for. I will be looking else where when it is time to replace my Google Wi-Fi.
I have been a huge advocate for using google wifi instead of other and even more expensive systems. I would love to have this as an upgrade to my current google wifi system
Can you set up multiple Wifi networks, without having to activate guest network? I want to keep my connected devices on a separate network from the main network we use for our work.
Hi Brett, This was the best google wifi video I have seen, very in-depth, makes me just want them more, they would be perfect to run a smart home like ours which is used to make the house accessible for my wife. They sound way more reliable than a lot of standard wifi routers. Unfortunately we live in Australia and cannot enter this competition but just wanted to say thanks for making such an awesome video.
I am growing my smart home. I have a Google Assistant device in nearly every room, multiple chromecasts, nest thermostat and doorbell any many smart lights. I often watch your videos before setting up my devices. I have fast internet but have noticed it cutting out randomly on some devices. Looks like nest Wi-Fi might be the solution I'm looking for not only for better connectivity but also being able to prioritize as you mentioned seems like it would be great. Keep up the great videos!
Thank you for this. My old router just died and I ordered a Nest wifi and one point. Was hoping to be able to use my old name and pwd and you answered that in almost the first step. Saved this video to watch again once the router arrives.
Really wish more mesh wifi systems had wired lan ports on the satellites... I would have loved to go with the Google Nest version but opted for the Orbi for the ports >
That helps alot. I currently have Gen 1 Google Wifi with 4 points, but I have kept an eye on Nest Wifi for some of the new features. Namely, Wifi 6 is supported from my understanding and that would help as I get closer to the connected device limit in my home. Also, having Google Assistant built into the satellite pucks would remove a large number of my existing Google/Nest Homes. I also use a switch to split up hard line connections at the base, but I'm sad to see it removed from the satellites. That allowed me to remove wifi adapters from any PCs/laptops I wanted to have connected in distant rooms.
Hey brett, me and my neighbor share wifis so we can cut down our bills, can i buy a google router and use the lan cable coming from my neighbors router to get wifi? Current im using an extender
I also have the circle right now and have considered changing to the Google hub. You mentioned that you can't turn off pause by voice if it's programmed, so how easy or hard is that to do? On Circle, I select the kid and hit reward and then change bedtime. What is required for the Nest Wifi to change it?
I've tried 3 different mesh systems and all 3 dropped connections frequently. Still can't find a better solution than my Apple AirPort Extreme. Too bad Apple got out of the router business.
You can use your old router as a switch/hub if you don't already own a switch. No need to buy one unless you need more ports or want the simplicity of just the two devices. You could even start with your old router then add a switch later to extend wired connections.
I have a 4 year old Asus AC1900 Google Onhub. My house is 1300 sq ft , I figured this AC2200 google wifi would be an upgrade since it has 4x4 mu-mimo etc, my internet is 250/250. With my old onhub, i can get about 230-240mbps about 25 ft away in the bedroom, with this google nest wifi, i get 180mbps max with just the main router. I also bought this 2 device kit. So i put the extra point in my bedroom and set it up, app said mesh connection was great, but after that I only get 140mbps max. Because apparently the extra nodes are only ac1200, according to customer service from google that is why it's slower using it. SO yeah, this is going back. my onhub can connect up to 100 devices and works fine, I was just thinking it would be neat to have a sleeker experience with a google speaker built in and it works with smart devices better, but I am not going to sacrifice wifi speeds for it.
Hi, what about when you move your device (a table or cell phone) away or out of the range of the nest router and get closer to the other repeater? does the device change automatically from the router to the repeater if they have to same SSID? or the router and repeater "automatically" pass the device from one to each other? Thanks. :)
Thanks. This is probably the best walk-through I've seen on the new Nest WiFi. One question I do have is, are you able to reserve IP addresses? Thanks for the video....
Thanks for clearing thing out. I depend heavily on the lan port for my current google Wi-Fi network and was just about to buy the nest Wi-Fi but I’m glad I watched your video first, otherwise I wouldn’t know that the nest points doesn’t have the lan port, unfortunately.. :(
One thing I've been curious about with both this and the old Google Wifi systems is how good the connection is on different floors of a house. If I had the router upstairs on one side of the house and a point on the other side of the upstairs, would the signal be good all the way down in the basement or should I get at least one additional point to put on the first floor to ensure good signal in the basement?
What is the size of your home. My parents have done it this way and it has worked well for them. 1. Far end of the home upstairs 2. Middle of the home basement 3. Opposite end of the home upstairs. If you only need two points I can see the first two options being sufficient.
Hi David, I have the Google Wifi (1st Generation) in my house and I have 4 floors. I put 1 on each floor. Only because I wanted maximum speed no matter what floor I was on. But I originally started with just 2 and put 1 on the first floor and 1 on the 3rd floor. Worked very well but as I said I just wanted maximum speed.
Anyone else having issues getting the assistant to run a speed test? Sometimes it'll perform the speed test, other times it'll give me a search result telling me about treadmills, or if I ask on my phone it'll give me a speed test which I need to click on to perform. When it has said back to me that it's performing a speed test, it hasn't given me the results like shown in the video. I need to then go into the home app, or look on displays, and it'll have the results for the speed test. I've checked the assistant history and how it has transcribed what I've said, each time is has heard 'run a speed test', but it's inconsistent with the results.
I can’t find any way to disable 5.8ghz in order to setup certain devices that need a 2.4ghz connection for their initial setup. I did a workaround by disconnecting the Google Nest WiFi and setting up my old router with the same SSID and password as the Google Nest. Afterwards, I connected the Nest router up again and the 2.4ghz only devices were able to work. 🙄 Seems so dumb and backwards of Google to not include a way to temporarily disable the 5.8ghz band. What were they thinking?
I just bought a "NIGHTHAWK® MESH WIFI 6 SYSTEM (MK62)" www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/nighthawk-mesh/mk62.aspx When I am near the satellite, I cannot cast my screen to the Chromecast that is also near the satellite. If I walk to the front of the house, I get connected to the router base. I can always connect to the Chromecast at the back of the house. I can leave my phone at the front of the house and walk back and see my screen being mirrored. For the Chromecast we have upstairs in the front of the house, it always connects. I have not had an instance where I could not mirror my screen or cast from an app. I switched the two Chromecasts a few days ago. I experienced the same results based on the location they are at in the house. It has nothing to do with the Chromecast units. It is being caused by being connected to the satellite NightHawk unit. I went to support.google.com/chromecast/table/3477832 and searched for NetGear. I disabled UPnP and enabled IPv6. My configuration does not seem to allow me to disable the 5GHz WiFi. I am beginning to think that this router will soon be listed as not compatible with ChromeCast. Will a Nest Mesh WiFi work? Has anyone had a similar setup and gotten Chromecast to work when connected to a Nest satellite access point?
Hey Brett, I got a Nest Mini and at 40% volume, I could barely hear when playing Spotify. While I can increase the volume to 60-70%, this would have made Google Assistant's voice so loud. Have you experienced the same? Any workaround?
My computer is closer to one point, but constantly swaps at random to the farther point causing some serious lag issues mid game. I can't seem to find any info anywhere on how to get a device to prioritize a specific point. You pointed out that the reverse is possible. Got any thoughts on how to fix that? Or a way to assign a specific name to a specific point or something? So you connect to just one node.
man, wish i could experience everyone else's internet bliss with nest wifi. i bought the 3 pack google wifi - $300. a while back. maybe more, can't remember. 3000 sq ft/2 story home. VERY OPEN floor plan. pay for 1000mb ATT uverse internet. at the home base, got 300mb wifi. anywhere else in the house ranged from 12mb - 60mb. so, went out and bought the 2 pack nest wifi. $269. now i have 5 wifi pucks in the house. at the new home base, i get 450mb wifi. anywhere else it ranges from 60mb - 150mb. like, WHAT THE HELL? so these things just get you 10% of what your service is? or LESS? it doesn't make sense. they say 1 of these can do 3000 sq ft. i have 5. maybe SOMEDAY WE'LL CRACK HOME WIFI. i love how we like to think how high tech and advanced we are and yet we still can't get internet at our homes properly. but hey uverse, check's in the mail! (and yes, att router wifi is turned off, in passthrough mode hard wired directly to the nest wifi home base).
I am curious about best. We currently have a monthly comcast account that costs approximately 280 to 300 per month. The wifi is spotty. I have an Android phone a20 I am not sure because I don't really go on UA-cam unless I do a search for music. My boyfriend and I are technically challenged but I feel so ridiculous paying comcast that outrageous bill monthly. Before Covid 19 it made sense because Tom is a huge sports fan. Not just major league but he atteArizona State on a baseball scholarship. Huge college basketball fans I know things like, West COAST , EAST COAST, PAC 10, WHICH IS NOW A PAC NETWORK. WAY TOO MUCH INFO FOR A SPORTS . Just stuck home during this epidemic a desperately needed effort to have my roos done before the weekend. I definitely have lots of space and close by. When you went into the salon setting up your customer base that are definitely going to go to get better results become better than others
I have 2 sets of google nest wifi (1 set = router and point). The primary router is wired with ethernet to my modem and stands next to my tv. Then i have one point in the kitchen (same floor) and one point in my bedroom (2nd floor). Speed and mesh tests are solid. I placed my second router on my attic (third floor) and it is also connected on my modem with a ethernet cable (i have cables running to my attic). However, the mesh test is not good with the 2nd router. It says i need to place it closer to my primary router to have better connection (although there is a point not 5 meters away from it, one floor down, and it is connected to my modem with a cable). When i just see my devices and see their connection status, all devices are solid except 2nd router where it says its either offline or has a weak connection. Any idea or suggestions to fix this? :). Thanks in advance.
Can you set up a VPN on main network for personal stuff like business cloud work and such and have no VPN on guest account for guests? I'd like to set up my TVs Mostly for ease of steaming videos without the annoying streaming errors from providers not allowing certain streams Like Disney+ on a VPN. Just trying to figure out how to set up my new Google Wifi and still be secure with my Pure VPN. While chatting with Pure VPN they couldn't tell me this about the Wifi/ router if VPN could be separated but said i can install pure VPN app on every device you want protected which seem like a lot of work. And still if my family wanted to stream, they would have to turn off VPN to watch and then forget to turn it back on leaving the network unprotected... It would just be nice if yo can partition the the guest network to be "unsecured" if you will, having the Fire stick or smart TV able to log in to the guest network for TV, while having tight VPN security on the main network for computer, tablet and phone on the private network. Any help would be great thanks ;)
Are you having fun? Me too. How did we ever get along without our smart everything. Oh, you might not know what that was like, black and white TV, and 3 stations. NBC, CBS, and ABC. I got my Wyze cams connected, ... finally. I can now view on any TV, where before I could only cast to 3 TVs. If it's not a smart TV it's got either a chromecast, or ROKU. What's so great is I can now dedicate my main TV to what I am most intentionally focused on. This is great, multiple bluetooth combined. Some of the Samsung I had trouble with. Reset my password 7 times in a row, little things that drive you nuts. Great video by the way. (The laundry room man, come on) lol too funny. No that's great. I wonder if I can hack my drone camera wifi. Hey google launch drone, and stream on Sam 4. Here is a bit of advice for anyone having dificulty with set up. I was getting extremely frustrated with Samsung devices I couldn't place items in rooms, a bunch of things. Walk away from it, come back when you have time to relax and focus on what you are doing. Trying to do some of this in a hurry, or multi tasking, could lead to frustration. Get a little stressed, because Samsung keeps kicking you out every time you click a new device; ... and asking for a password which it will not recognize; ... the one you just set up two screens ago. Walk away, come back tomorrow. Technology is so great. Do they have smart clothing yet? I bet they do, of course they do.
Fantastic Video!! However, as far as device priority goes... 21:46 "we can set up a few of those" Only one device at a time can be set as a priority device for the specified time duration. If you select one device and then select another, you'll notice that the first device is no longer highlighted. I purchased this today and came across your video this evening. Truly a great how-to for the Nest Wifi!! Learned a lot!
I see difference between the ASUS setup…. this Nest setup uses 2 wifi AP spots ? the internet connection used is not a 50/50 one because the upload is over 80Mb/sec already, i hope the router functions are good, because different providers use different setups for IPTV, with one LAN/WAN there are enough VLAN options i hope.
Google needs security options. IE were they can only be controller by people I allow to use it and all others it will tell them they are not and authorized user and deny them access. Also the Ability to change ip address to static instead of dynamic.
I own a Tesla Model 3 and want to get the wifi updates provided by Tesla thru WiFi. My condo home network is very poor even when I park my car about 20 yards away my Home Network does not even show up while some of my neighbors do. What am I doing wrong?? Had the Google Mesh router could not get it to work. What Am I doing wrong?
You said Nest Wi-Fi is capable of router Advanced Options. I have two devices that require Port Forwarding. Are either the Home app or the Google Wi-Fi app capable of letting me set up Port Forwarding on the Nest Router? How do you do it? If you cannot do it, would I have to connect a different, second router to the switch box and then hook up and operate the two devices through the second router, which would allow me to configure Port Forwarding?
If I use the same network name as previous so I don’t have to connect all my devices again, do I have to delete it from the existing modem router. To be clear I have an existing T-Mobile modem/router and will add google mesh.
I currently run a dlink mesh system (works ok) but have issues connecting to some of my smart devices consistantly. I'm slowly moving my smart devices over to phillip hue which requires a hub that can only handle so many devices. What happens if I need an extra hub connected to the google wifi system should I decide to switch to that system?
Just ordered mine after i researching my Virgin media router because ever since having Virgin media it's been crap and I meant to get over 300 mbps. and at most I get 150 I've since found out that my router was made with 2006 Intel chip so can only handle 20 or so devices which is nowhere good enough for a smart home. should arrive tomorrow so hoping it will be a big improvement to my smart home thanks for your review been very helpful
I have a previous ecosystem with my wifi ISP router, so all the devices like sonoff or nest hub max were configured with this network. Now I bought a nest wifi. So, do I need to change all the configuration on this things to joing the new wifi?
Hi, I'm new at this and we change our internet provider every year (it makes sense in the UK), so if I get Google Nest router to replace the existing one, will everything connected to it just keep working when we change providers?
Why wouldn't you just get the Wi-Fi router for $135 that's a better price to meet and you can get it in the beautiful blue the white and coral are kind of ugly in my opinion But other than that this is the Google marshmallow
*2 QUESTIONS FOR TECH WITH BRETT, PLEASE ANSWER* Question 1 - How do you make your chromecast devices show up on your devices to Cast to list on your phone? Ex. On the *Cast to* list, I can see my Samsung TV (which don't have Chromecast), my Bluray players, and my Roku's, but sometimes I can't see my TV's or soundbar, with the actual chromecast connected or built in. My Google Nest Hub Max don't even show up on the *Cast to* list. The crazy thing, it's only sometimes (Mainly when company is over and when I'm trying to show off). I use to be able to fix it when I Sync all devices, but now that don't work. They're all on the same wifi network. Then after awhile, out of nowhere, they will appear on the *Cast to* list (once company leave.) Like everything with Google don't show up on the Chromecast list. Do you have any ideas how to fix this? Question 2 - Did you ever let your children play *Akinator* on Google Home?
I live in a condo with lots of signal interferance and competitions. I've tried switching channels, tried different extenders. You think this nest router would solve it?
A fantastic detailed and thorough vid! It answered a lot of my questions about adding this unit to my existing wifi network. I need to bookmark this for future use when mine is set up.
hi. we just installed a google nest and now my sonos alexa wont work or my adt security cameras. i did a speed test and have great power and signel, and yes i down loaded the google app on my phone..can some one help this guy thats not very computer savy....im just a machine op
What a nice review! Everything explained very clear and loved the timestamps in the video timeline! Question: My ISP provides a modem/router (just 1 device that has wirfi)... would I need to get a regular modem with no wifi to be able to connect the Nest Wifi so I don't have 2 networks?
I think when i finally move out, im gonna get this as my modem. I would get it right now, but i feel the price is a little steep for something i dont *really* need. Great video!
At the 9:10 point of your video, this is where I get a message saying, couldn't communicate to the nest wifi point. What am I doing wrong? I have them next to each other, is there a way I can reset and start the process over sir?
If anyone owns the google nest. Does the WiFi point randomly disconnect from the router? I want to get the nest setup but keep hearing that’s an issue with it.
I have a enterprise level solution at my home today with a wireless controller and all that fun stuff.... But things like this make me consider ditching it so I have less to manage.
The Bearded Tech Guy you could but the ladder would still need to be required this would only be an addition for your use. All depends what your doing and why you need it lol
Does the google wifi router have google assistant or only google point? If the google wifi router does have assistant, I can't figure out how to turn it on.
I have Verizon FiOS Gigabit service which provides connection via ethernet to my Verizon router/modem rather than coax as traditional connections have, thereby requiring the modem in order to connect secondary routers. Given that I have that ethernet connection straight from Verizon into my home, can I get away with not using the Verizon provided router/modem at all?
I currently have a Arris Surfboard SBG7580-AC modem router combo. I seem to drop devices that need to be re-setup weekly. Have 40+ devices mostly light switches, Hue and wyze cameras. Do you think added a nest wifi system with the same name would add stability to the devices? If I do should I leave the WIFI for the surfboard using same name or shut it down and rely just on the nest?
I have an old Airport Extreme. Hasn't been supported or updated in years, as they discontinued them. It was a workhorse, but since all of these wireless cams, bridges, plugs, bulbs, Google speakers, Chromecasts, hubs & phones? It's not holding up so well. Maybe it's time to upgrade. Probably my modem too. And the nest with it's extender is about the same price I paid for my Airport back then! Thanks for the great review!
Hi, I have a Asus AC1900 Dual Band 802.11ac Gigabit router. The Nest Wifi seem to be an upgrade to what I have in my home! Nice educational video of the Nest Wifi, It would be nice to have this for an upgrade at Christmas time! Thanks for this video!!!

@@irishboy06 nobody should get this as it's outdated technology, it's not Wifi6, and no you still need a modem separate to this.

This man has 58 connected devices! I’m I the only one blown away by that. Wtf
58 is understandable if you have a lot of smart devices, the funny thing is he only have 50 down internet speed.....
EiVaR I have about 28 devices in my household of 4 people, so yeah pretty believable.
Yea that’s completely understandable. The only reason I don’t blow that out of the water is all of my hues are on one hub.

Idk something about it doesn’t sit right with me, I just feel those wave frequencies are frying his brain.
Tech With Brett can you use a spectrum modem
I just want a router that can handle my online gaming upstairs while my brothers pc gaming downstairs
This is not for you, this thing is a lagfest in my experience. Go for the Netfear Orbi, I hardly have any problems since switching
Thanks for saying "Hey Google," quietly 😂
Lol. I know hu?

They should've named it "Marshmallow Wi-Fi" 😂

Excellent tutorial. I just wish that they included a speaker on the router.
Perfect timing with this upload.
Exactly when I was planning on it...
I would highly recommend people visit the site's forums to see ALL of the mountain of issues with Google's smart devices before buying - because even things google has put in print as characteristics of their devices do not work. well my friend, i am convinced to grab this due to this awesome vid!! great in depth review

Looks like nest Wi-Fi might be the solution I'm looking for not only for better connectivity but also being able to prioritize as you mentioned seems like it would be great. Keep up the great videos!
yea keep getting those wiretaps cuz the government wants to spy on ya

Great video 👍 I have old version and work great. I had so many issues with FiOS internet provider router but Google WiFi way more reliable.
Hey I'm subscribed to your channel as well. It's a small world. 😃
That is a great review Paul! I'm excited to no longer have those issues either!
Not after 5/21/21
Thank you for this.
1:44 these estimations are not meant for concrete homes
Yes that should work.
@Tech J 37 Which system is it?
I have the first google wi-fi router my question is can i add a second gen nest wi-fi piont ?
Everything are Google nest wifi, great review.

Good grammar bruh
I wish I knew what you meant to say. You got likes tho. 🤣
I had that same Asus router, setup as a repeater. Upgraded to Google Nest WiFi and I'm very happy with it.
I heard some people have problems setting up new smart devices on the nest wifi because the device is on 2.4 and their phone is on 5
Great video and review, just purchased the Google Nest Wi-Fi mesh system a week ago works fantastic and very reliable and consistent. 👍 Fast...:)
Great to hear!
You can use your old router as a switch/hub if you don't already own a switch.
No need to buy one unless you need more ports or want the simplicity of just the two devices. You could even start with your old router then add a switch later to extend wired connections.
Does it work with a radio wi fi signal?
Does the app allow you to set specific channels for the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks?
Can you make a video about making a VPN work with Google Nest WiFi?
Thanks for clearing thing out. I depend heavily on the lan port for my current google Wi-Fi network and was just about to buy the nest Wi-Fi but I’m glad I watched your video first, otherwise I wouldn’t know that the nest points doesn’t have the lan port, unfortunately.. :(
Glad I could help, sorry I can't change the product...
Tobias Brage Amazon sells the Nest WiFi router in packs.
@@moonlightcruze Great catch, looks like you just need to give up the built-in mini that comes in the add-on
One thing I've been curious about with both this and the old Google Wifi systems is how good the connection is on different floors of a house. If I had the router upstairs on one side of the house and a point on the other side of the upstairs, would the signal be good all the way down in the basement or should I get at least one additional point to put on the first floor to ensure good signal in the basement?
What is the size of your home. My parents have done it this way and it has worked well for them.
1. Far end of the home upstairs
2. Middle of the home basement
I just bought a "NIGHTHAWK® MESH WIFI 6 SYSTEM (MK62)"
www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/nighthawk-mesh/mk62.aspx
When I am near the satellite, I cannot cast my screen to the Chromecast that is also near the satellite.
Has anyone had a similar setup and gotten Chromecast to work when connected to a Nest satellite access point?
best nest wifi video explicative ever. super recommended. new suscriber🤩
Excellent video. Very easy to understand and follow along. The set up was easy. So far what he stated was very true to fact.
Hey Brett, I got a Nest Mini and at 40% volume, I could barely hear when playing Spotify. While I can increase the volume to 60-70%, this would have made Google Assistant's voice so loud. Have you experienced the same? Any workaround?
Turn up the volume on whatever you're using to play spotify
I know things like, West COAST , EAST COAST, PAC 10, WHICH IS NOW A PAC NETWORK. WAY TOO MUCH INFO FOR A SPORTS . Just stuck home during this epidemic
a desperately needed effort to have my roos done before the weekend. I definitely have lots of space and close by. When you went into the salon setting up your customer base that are definitely going to go to get better results become better than others
Just got mine yesterday so this was just what I needed
21:46 "we can set up a few of those"
Only one device at a time can be set as a priority device for the specified time duration.
Is this compatible with Grandstream HT812 VoIP Phone Adapter the Google Mesh for VoiP service and connecting a Desktop directly to the Google Nest?
Thanks for such an in-depth amazing video. Kudos to you. loved it.
how to connect 2.4Gh plugs or divices to this wifi , you cant split the wifi signal in a 2.4Gh and a 5Gh signal .

It is dual band and should connect to the appropriate frequency.
Can a kid unpause it with voice on the Google speaker devices? Or does it have voice recognition security?
If I use the same network name as previous so I don’t have to connect all my devices again, do I have to delete it from the existing modem router. To be clear I have an existing T-Mobile modem/router and will add google mesh.
See I thank you for cutting out the voice assistant lines because I have both an Alexa and Google Nest Mini in my room. So I thank you very much.
I currently run a dlink mesh system (works ok) but have issues connecting to some of my smart devices consistantly.

*2 QUESTIONS FOR TECH WITH BRETT, PLEASE ANSWER*
Question 1 - How do you make your chromecast devices show up on your devices to Cast to list on your phone?

What a nice review! Everything explained very clear and loved the timestamps in the video timeline!
Question: My ISP provides a modem/router (just 1 device that has wirfi)... would I need to get a regular modem with no wifi to be able to connect the Nest Wifi so I don't have 2 networks?
I have a modem/router and I just turned the router function off on my modem router. That function may or may not be available on your modem/router.
Hola, buen video.👍
Pero una consulta, cuál es la diferencia entre Google Wifi y Google Nest Wifi..?? 🤔🤔
If anyone owns the google nest. Does the WiFi point randomly disconnect from the router? I want to get the nest setup but keep hearing that’s an issue with it.
Really annoying that you cant bridge the 2nd access point with a wire.
Have you had any problems setting up 2,4 ghz devices?
I have a enterprise level solution at my home today with a wireless controller and all that fun stuff.... But things like this make me consider ditching it so I have less to manage.
The Bearded Tech Guy I do this stuff for work and the ease of these things is pretty much the selling point for me! Lol
@@MrBombbostic ha yea... But I doubt I could have 6 different SSIDs and all assigned to different VLANs and tunneling with something like this... :/
The Bearded Tech Guy you could but the ladder would still need to be required this would only be an addition for your use. All depends what your doing and why you need it lol
We can mute microphones on points right? Great video !
Yes you can! You can even turn off the mute light which is nice.
Does the google wifi router have google assistant or only google point? If the google wifi router does have assistant, I can't figure out how to turn it on.
You know you need 120 for buffering seamless video and video gaming.
My LAN port went out snd I had to order a new one. Anyone else have this issue?

Great video Brett just one question for ya , can I check the websites my kids do be on their devices , thanks
Hey Brett wanted me to answer but no
This does not. It will only allow you to see data usage for each device.

I'm mad that I have Google Wifi now. I hope Google don't stop making updates for Google Wifi, now that Nest Wifi is out.
I’m disappointed the advanced networking options weren’t shown.
