    That was a lot of brood for this time of the year. In the single brood box system there sure isn't any honey stored there. If you had to pull the supers you'd have to start feeding that day.
    I tried 2 types of markers. Put a spot on my hand from each and one washed away that day and the other had to wear off with the skin.

      I winter with a deep and medium so I never pull all the supers off. And if I do take honey I leave at least 5 frames and then feed feed and then feed again till winter.
