    Good luck with that process….It’s never worked for me….I would have removed the excluder…put the best full medium frame box above the deep….and fed syrup till it gets too cold….I’m all through feeding-also mountain camp….Formic pro treatment….waiting on spring…

    Hope that works for you. I never had much success with bees moving honey down. Keep us posted on that one.

    Mr T, I think that you’ve taught me something that I didn’t know if I’m understanding you correctly. Are you saying; “any partially filled frames of comb you put them about the top inner cover and the girls will pull that down immediately below the inner cover”? If that’s correct then I will use that technique immediately. Please reply.

      I did it this year. I close about half the slot with a small piece of 1/4" plywood scrap. If there is some honey that is capped scratch the cappings off. It took my hives about a week to clear the super. Nice way to do it. No robbers - no mess. John the Beeman from UK had a video on it a month ago.
