I'm old grandma living alone. Lasagna and pumpkin pie are two of my very favorite things on this earth. You just completely changed my whole life with these delightful mug meals! Just my size and doesn't heat up the house. Thank you so much,Gemma!! I'm very grateful to you. Makes me HAPPY!!
Wow, I'm amazed with all the lovely recipes we can make in a mug. I would never thought about making pies in a mug. They look so good, Gemma. BIG THUMBS UP👍🏽
Sweet potatoes (yams) or butternut squash makes a good pie too, if you can't find pumpkin. Sometimes there are shortages. Love that color of nail polish.
Thanks for the video! As an American these pies were a part of my childhood and it was fun to watch you reassure everyone that pumpkin pie is delicious. Side note: Sweet potato pie and bean pies are also really yummy.
i just couldn't thank you enough for your mug cake series!! every recipe is so creative and full of flavour. i had never been the kind of person who bakes i just always buy from shops whatever dessert i crave because i was convinced that no home baking could be as good as buying from a professional shop. but when i first tried out your cheesecake mug i was amazed!!!! now i just can't stop baking!! and my family and friends are gobsmacked by tasting your recipes. thank you for everything,, my greetings from Egypt
Pumpkin pie...I'm drooling LOL Pecan too...two of my favorite pies...as well as French Silk and Banana Cream...and coconut cream. Will definitely have to try these.
Made the pecan pie for the first time tonight, and I will definitely need to make some adjustments to the recipe as written. The picture you have looks like a 6 oz mug. I doubled the recipe and made mine in two 8 oz ceramic mugs (to begin with) and ended up having to move them to 12 oz mugs as they were overflowing and making quite the mess in the microwave. I transferred everything to the larger mugs and continued to cook them after cleaning up the overflow. This transfer meant all the 'crust' was mixed in, so it ended up more a pecan pie pudding than a pie. ;) However, still a tasty recipe and now I know that next time I should start with the larger mugs and maybe end up with something more pie like. lol Pecan pie has always been a favorite of mine, and this is fast and easy (except for the learning experience) so thank you for posting this! It is convenient to make two instead of a whole pie. Note: My microwave is 800 watts and it took 3 minutes or thereabouts, but there was a pretty good pause in the middle for cleanup. I cooked them 30 seconds at a time, alternating the mugs.
Yesss!!!! A new series I get to start 😍😍😍😍. Thank you. Those are so amazing and I never would have thought to do a PIE in a mug! You are so incredible.
+Gemma Stafford love love it! Im not sure if you saw but my daughter and I made the entire giant cookie series lol ❤ these are all so easy but amazing to make and with your kids who love to bake too!
Hey Gemma! I just made the Pecan pie in a mug ( I didn't have any pecans, so I substituted with walnuts ) and I must say it's delicious! It tasted exactly like a pecan pie. Thank you very much for posting this recipe :).
I've found that loose organic granola with a little butter, brown sugar, and extra spice makes a good crumble topping for stuff like this (and baked apples, too), if you don't have plain oats or want a quicker fix. :)
bulbasaure the dino Did you also suggest specific ingredients, their quantities, and cooking time? Keep in mind that it's also possible for many people to arrive at similar ideas simultaneously and independently. I believe you owe Gemma an apology, for though you prefaced your comment with "not to be rude," I'm afraid that's exactly how you came across.
Good recipe for the pumpkin, though my sweet tooth has reduced with age so I think next time I'll tone down the sugar and spices a smidge, but the texture is perfect!
Hey Gemma... Thanx so much for this recipe! I woke up this morning and started watching your videos and had a craving to make your pecan pie.... So I made it and it turned out great! I loved it and so did my little brother! It baked in the microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes but still was great!
I didn't have cookies or graham crackers, but I did have an open box of Pumpkin Spice Cheerios cereal. Ground them up and they made the perfect base for all three pies! The spice in the cereal worked really well with every one of them. I also didn't have pecans, but I did have a bag of English walnuts and chopped them up for the pie. It was great with the spicy cereal base for the crust too. Just using what I had in the pantry! That's what's so great about this video - its given me all kinds of ideas. I also have a can of peaches I'm going to try as a mug pie.
Honestly, I could eat the apple crisp as is without microwaving it! But I LOVE tender, warm apples. Something about warm, tender and crisp apples that just makes me happy!
I made the mug apple pie today and it was delightful! I lowered the quantity of sugar slightly because I used a very sweet variety of apple (about 2/3rd the recipe amount of sugar), subbed walnuts for pecans and added a little bit of lemon juice to the apple. Lovely accompaniment to our evening coffee.
I just made pumpkin pie, but i used swett potato because here in guatemala is difficult to find pumpkin pure and i can't believe how delicious this is. Thank you for this recipes
can you do something savory? like a greek tyropitta (cheese pie) or a spanakopitta in a mug? i'm a student and i really miss those flavors from back home but i'm too busy/lazy(?) to make a whole big one, and a microwave mug tyropitta would sound amazing!
Hello,Gemma!I am from Turkmenistan! And I would like to say you a huge thank you for your recipes! You are really good at what you do!I adore you and your channel!Waiting for more recipes!
Thanks for having the captions for the Deaf - makes it so much easier to follow. To take the time to actually have real captions, not the automatic. :)
I'm glad it's helping. You can also get all the information, including the tips I'm saying in the narrative in the recipe at my site. The link can be found in the caption of the video.
I just did the Pecan pie one and oh my Gemma I am In Love with Your recipes.... this is decadent and delightful... just wow better then most full size pies... just amazingly stellar!!!! 💜
Hey Gemma, you are my inspiration. Your videos are always so creative and amazingly well edited. I have recommended your channel to many of my friends and they all love it as well. You are amazing. ❤
Lol facepalm, all of those are technically fruits as well. We just call them veggies based on taste so from a culinary standpoint, yes we can call them vegetables. From a factual scientific standpoint, they actually are fruits.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! Sure came in handy with our stove oven not working and a person just starving for some homemade goodies, ie. pumpkin pie made just simply using our microwave. YES. YES. YUMMY YUMMY
Umm... I don't want to scare you but we have pumpkin, Pecan and Apple pies in Canada. We have a whole lot more just to make things a little more terrifying.
Well, if we are being fair, Canada isn't terribly different from the U.S. standards. I mean, laws, yes, some stores, yes. But, Canada is the closest to the U.S. She was referring to countries like Whales, Belgium, Japan and China.
it would be ignorant of her to think that Canada wouldn't have these things, Canada is basically America so she probably included Canada when she said outside 'America'
+Party Poison I only knew the apple crumble/ pie one. Pumpkin in Germany is mostly served as a soup. Pecans are really expensive compared to other nuts.
+Party Poison In the Philippines, these pies are not traditionally served as it would be in the US. They are more like "fancy pies" served in bistros or restaurants. We usually have Buko Pie (Coconut Pie) for occasions. I'm pretty sure we don't have pumpkins here, too, only squash (are they the same??). Pecans are HELLA expensive, and apples available are only Granny Smith, Gala, & Fuji, as far as I know.
+Austin Dayacap We typically have coconut cream pie, sometimes chocolate pie, lemon pie, but i don't really classify those as fall pies. Cherry pie is really popular in the fall but not as many people like it as they like pumpkin pie.
+Austin Dayacap You can buy the canned pumpkin in the bigger grocery stores in the Phil. I'm from the Philippines and my American father makes pumpkin pie a couple times a year.
Joelle BVB I haven't seen any canned pumpkins from where I'm from (Tagaytay). In what section is it with? Canned fruits, or with the tomatoes/mushrooms?
Hi, Gemma. I just made your apple pie with the oat crumble. I made it with just half the sugar and still was too sweet for me BUT it was beautiful and delicious with the soft apples on the bottom and crispy oats and walnuts on top. Yum. I made mine dairy free by using 2tbs coconut oil instead of the butter.
Here in Canada we are lucky to have access to apple orchards... pumpkin patches and sugar bushes so we can have the freshest and most delicious fall produce to makes each of these. I cant wait to try them!!
duuuuuude, the apple crisp is a must try.... a la mode is the only way to serve this. thanks Gemma, you're amazing. now I can always enjoy apple desserts.
Everyone has to believe in something: I believe I'll have another one of these mug pies yum you are just going above and beyond awesomeness in cooking. May God bless you tenfold for US 😇♥️❤️😍
Gemma you have outdone yourself once again! You always make something great! Pecan pie is my favorite and my grandmas recipe is the best! We all get so excited for thanksgiving and Christmas to roll around partially because of that pecan pie! I am so excited to try this pecan pie recipe that is so easy! Hopefully it's as good as grandmas! 😉
So glad you're introducing the world to some of our great deserts. Blueberry pie from local berries is almost unbeatable. ditto for cherry pie or my favorite, rhubarb custard pie - flavor is phenomenal. In New England I grew up with having pumpkin or squash (more common) pie, blueberry (my birthday treat rather than a cake), blackberry, huckleberry, cherry, rhubarb, strawberry, apple, pear, lemon meringue, mincemeat, banana cream, coconut cream, chocolate cream, pecan and yes cranberry pie not to mention plum tarts. Thank God my mom was a great baker! Note to the English: I once stayed with a family who thoughtfully brought me to Southampton to get an 'American apple pie'. It turned out to be apple sauce in a shell! It really was awful. also they made chocolate chip cookies with hazel nuts and who knows what else, I almost gagged. Ah well. Not all of our food if great but our deserts....
This is so amazing! I was hoping you'd share a Pecan Pie in a Mug recipe, Gemma, because it's my absolute favorite! And I know my sister will enjoy these recipes up in college during Thanksgiving. Thank you so much! These look incredible!

It's delicious and easy to prepare. Hope you will like it as much my husband and I did.

+Hope Erbach Thanks so much for watching. Really glad you liked this recipe :)

OML that sounds so good
yeah she should totally do that
TOTALLY! I would eat all of them!!!
That would be amazing!😋

I like how you gently placed the stuff on top of the mug cake. So professional, Gemma. ;)
What has always been marvelous for my is the fact that you have so many beautiful mugs
Pumpkin pie...I'm drooling LOL Pecan too...two of my favorite pies...as well as French Silk and Banana Cream...and coconut cream. Will definitely have to try these.

They are all amazing! You've taken mug "cakes" to the next level! Weill dun (trying to imitate your super cool Irish accent! lol)

Pie > candy
Pie = cookies
+MegsandBacon ice cream > pie > cookies > cupcakes > candy :D
I can't decide between pie or ice cream! Why not just put ice cream on pie or put pie pieces in ice cream and everyone wins! *heavy breathing*
@@michellebernal5668 ice cream tastes AMAZING on apple pie

Did she say pumpkin was a vegetable . I thought it was a fruit because it has seeds
*facepalm* did you also think that cucumber is a fruit? Tomatoes have seeds, cucumbers have seeds, peppers have seeds!!
Yup, pumpkin is a fruit. Specifically a squash. It's a weirdo just like tomatoes, cucumbers and avocado lol.
+Naima Dillard oh okay. So peas, green beans, avocado are a kind of fruit too? Lol
+owei villanueva yup peas are a kind of berry. Not all fruits are sweet. Coffee bean and cacao is fruit as well.
