When you talk about absorbing the Earth's energy, what happens when someone practices on the 50th floor of a building, is that an impediment to absorbing the Earth's energy, or are you referring more to absorbing the Earth's magnetic field regardless of whether or not the practitioner is attached to the Earth's surface?

Thanks, Wilson, for the excellent question. I can only share my experience with you. When practicing, we prefer to stay on the ground and wear shoes that allow energy to flow through. It is how traditional tai chi shoes are designed. For convenience, I like to use modern "breathing shoes." It is the ideal scenario. But very often, it's not possible. When that is the case, we use the same method but interact with the earth with intent. It is more in the case of, like you say, interacting with the magnetic field. My experience is that it's not as ideal, but it works. When this is the case, we usually will make it up by absorbing energy not only from the earth but from the environment as well-something like breathing with other parts of the body or even the entire body.

Thank you very much for such detailed instructions. I've been practising a very similar method called Di Yuan which is the second method of Yuan Gong. Amazing for internalising qi and does wonders for my lower back 😊❤

    OMG❗️
    This was amazing 🤩
I felt buzzing feeling all over my body for a few seconds. Then I started to think “what it this?” then the buzzing disappeared.
I’ll keep practicing to keep it consistent, but do you feel like this through out the practice or just time to time?
    Thank you for sharing 😊

I feel so happy for you. It's a good sign that you feel it immediately. But don't think about it. The more relaxed you are, the more you get it. For seasoned practitioner, the feeling is consistent and you'd have more discoveries along the way. 😀

Maybe it would be good it you have a visual picture of someone doing the posture and how the knees are positioned.
    This would be more clear.🎉
