I really like the wire twist trick! Thanks for sharing
Im glad! It's nice to share ideas that work... I get so many from youtube!
a pair of kleins and a tie wire reel is 1000% faster in the right hands. And those vertical dowels should go in the inside of the bands. At least that's how the structural engineers design them for buildings and such
What are the name of the bolts used to tie the tie wire? I know you said counter sunk bolts which comes factory but curious if u drilled the holes yourself? Thanks in advance
@@jameshenthorn1324 looks like he has drilled the holes himself, bolt doesnt look machined to me
@@jameshenthorn1324 carriage bolts, he drilled 4 holes with countersinks (cone shaped dip around them)
"If they are not meeting up, just give it a whack..." Good life advice right there.
a local soccer post in a local green area kept falling over, I grabbed a bit of old rebar bent it around the manhole cover and whacked it into the ground, it worked a treat :) The lawnmower guys not going to be too happy though :)
@@rockandmeatroll 😂🤣
My thought exactly - if in doubt, give it a clout!
What a delightful human being and a wonderfully informative video! Cheers!
Agreed!🤘🏻🤩
Amazing! You just solved my problem about how to make rebar to reinforce my post foundation. So resourceful!
It’s great seeing Peter working & sharing his creations ....he is a blast & fun to watch. Fine example of good creative humans 😊🇨🇦😊🇨🇦😊🇨🇦😊👍
If I am not wrong, this could also help in construction. Not just art. This man deserves all the praise he gets for this video.
Yep for sure... Either weld the ends or toe two rings with join on opposite sides
Thank you Mr. Harris. Proving once again that - Less Is More. Completely informative and educational, not to mention INSPIRATIONAL, in such a short time. Without all the dreary chit chat that is so common on UA-cam. I'm so eager to try out your methods. May this find you well and healthy.
simple yet ingenious; none of the bs buying expensive equipment to do the job; many thanks.
Based king
Thank You!!! You saved me a lot of money and headaches on a garden project I am doing.
Nice little video Peter. Looking forward to seeing more of your channel. Thank you for sharing.
The bolt twister is ingenious.
I don’t see why you need twenty twists on a single wire wrapped once around a Re rod.
@@walterkersting6238 I mean when you can do 20 in less time then 3 by hand... why not? You have to admit it looks pretty clean (at least to my amateur eye)
I guess more wraps would be better than more twists though? maybe that's what you meant
edit: grammar
Coming from a country where reinforced concrete can be called a tradition. Making the rings was no surprise. Almost every construction site has a rebar bending table ad hoc built!
But I loved the trick to twist the wires. Not that it would "work" on a professional site! But for my amateurish needs is just perfect. ;-)
Cheers
Always great to get tips from someone who really knows what theyre doing. Thanks for the video
That's a whole new level of genius. I love your artwork.
A true artist and visionary!
Love the organic forms.
Thank you for sharing.
Just subbed...awesome when a guy with skillz shares it in laymen terms and in an uncomplicated manner. Some channels are like listening to a foriegn language when tradesmen expect everyone to know the trade terms and expressions.
Love the commitment to make things better, and by hand!
Metal splinters in the eye, “not advisable”. Got it. Jajaja, I love him. What a wonderful tutorial.
Yea just flick them out with the flicker machine at the emergency room they actlly have a machine that does that I know it happened to me when I was welding
Oh! At first I thought it was the eyes that "had to be taken out" :)
Genius! Thankyou for posting this amazing demonstration .
I've worked in construction for 9 year's. Not once have i seen or been thought this faster and easier method. Thank you for your humbleness and teaching your way of bending rebar God bless you. : )
Absolutely brilliant. from a straight piece of rebar to rings installed with humour along the way.
These are the kind of videos that I like to watch. Thank you.
Absolute magic !
The worlds a better place with you and your post
Thank you for your tips and tricks. Love the artwork!
Exactly what I was looking for: how to make rebar circles. Amazing video, wonderful host, and I learned!
Super sweet idea with the bolt.
Hi Peter- Im not searching any ferro cement stuff but You Tube has pushed this video to me solidly all week - Finally I succumbed. Oh and I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for Cafe Eutopia. I marvel at it every time I head north- Oh and Tony Watkins Karaka Bay says hi!
Lovely... thanks for that. A LOT of people are succumbing to this 'lord jf the rings' video! :) Weird but good. And yes...we'll always have Eutopia...
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Very nice job.
Thank you! I learned 2 things in this little video! 1 How to make the rebar rings, 2 How make the steel wire twister gadget. Keep being awesome!
After watching this, I subbed. There was no need to even ask for it. Such a great guy!

You're very welcome! Thanks for feedback.
casually talks about steel splitters in the eye, "Not advisable."
Cheers for that
My buddy just uses a magnet to get them out haha
have to wait in the ER, uggh what a drag, lol
He should get a face shield. The last time I had a shrad picked out in emergency I got a bill for $800. It took less than a minute and 10 days wages to pay for it. US health care.
@@maplebones I believe our friend here is a Brit and like us Canucks he has publicly fund healthcare. So no 800$ bill. Take Care~eh
@@glen1arthur he's a kiwi, but yes government health care.

Mate, you are a clever guy and I love the ingenuity of your methods to streamline your work. Brilliant stuff, big fan.
Yes, it makes it all worthwhile to be able to explore and discover new things in any field, large or small...
Very good to see such enthusiasm keep up with the good work 👍
Back in his day, he would bend it with his teeth. You kids got it easy nowadays😜🤣
He had to gather the ore and make the rebar first too.
That was so easy, thank you Sir
awesome idea, thanks
So simple ... so godam good !
Well done.
Thank you for the lesson in simplicity. Smart teacher, stay safe. PS, I subscribed !
You are a clever man!
Thank you sir. I was looking at building a ferrocrete boat and this was very helpful.
My son in law has a ferro keeler...old and good. Sailed the south Pacific in it. I have an excellent book by the Hartley boat designers who did ferro designs in the 60s I think... it is probably out of print . I'll look... Have you seen my www.fantasticferrocement.com? I will look at adding a section on ferro boats.
Love the pipe tool. I'd forgotten about it.
Nice, new trick and I have bent a lot of bar...thank you.
thanks for making the vid and sharing
i hope to try a little ferrocement and will check out your other vids

Excellent thank you.
nice, I like the carriage bolt wire tie twister, also the jigs for making the rings and lining them up, and the pole with the slot for straightening them, good stuff.
