      a pair of kleins and a tie wire reel is 1000% faster in the right hands. And those vertical dowels should go in the inside of the bands. At least that's how the structural engineers design them for buildings and such

      What are the name of the bolts used to tie the tie wire? I know you said counter sunk bolts which comes factory but curious if u drilled the holes yourself? Thanks in advance

      @@jameshenthorn1324 carriage bolts, he drilled 4 holes with countersinks (cone shaped dip around them)

      a local soccer post in a local green area kept falling over, I grabbed a bit of old rebar bent it around the manhole cover and whacked it into the ground, it worked a treat :) The lawnmower guys not going to be too happy though :)

      Yep for sure... Either weld the ends or toe two rings with join on opposite sides

      I don’t see why you need twenty twists on a single wire wrapped once around a Re rod.

      ​@@walterkersting6238 I mean when you can do 20 in less time then 3 by hand... why not? You have to admit it looks pretty clean (at least to my amateur eye)
      I guess more wraps would be better than more twists though? maybe that's what you meant

    Coming from a country where reinforced concrete can be called a tradition. Making the rings was no surprise. Almost every construction site has a rebar bending table ad hoc built!
    But I loved the trick to twist the wires. Not that it would "work" on a professional site! But for my amateurish needs is just perfect. ;-)

      Yea just flick them out with the flicker machine at the emergency room they actlly have a machine that does that I know it happened to me when I was welding

      Thanks Lily...I try! The hue gourds we made look as new still at the landing site... children love climbing on them, and rabbits graze around them as I noticed on Sunday when I visited.. tge doglets were very excited!

      He should get a face shield. The last time I had a shrad picked out in emergency I got a bill for $800. It took less than a minute and 10 days wages to pay for it. US health care.

      My son in law has a ferro keeler...old and good. Sailed the south Pacific in it. I have an excellent book by the Hartley boat designers who did ferro designs in the 60s I think... it is probably out of print . I'll look... Have you seen my www.fantasticferrocement.com? I will look at adding a section on ferro boats.
