Just ignore the complaints. It’s your business. Run it how you see fit. Sometimes it’s freeing to get rid of some of the old stuff. This gives you more room to store items that you enjoy selling. Old stuff that is sitting around for years will never be exciting to list (therefore, never listed).

A number of years ago, I wanted a rackets cheese melter. I was having parties for various faculty members at the university where my husband taught. Now it just isn't feasible. But it would have been great fun!

Hi, the problem with AI is that it's not true AI. It's pulling from what we are all putting out there on the internet. So if somebody's putting something out there that is incorrect the AI software can potentially pull that information.
Pennywise and pound foolish is true in reverse as well. If you're looking for long term success, you do need to sell for pennies to make the pounds every so often. The way you did it is perfect. It's much better to unload excess inventory for super cheap via a garage sale than it is to do it on ebay where you risk wrecking the market for others. I've never had a garage sale, but yours has inspired me to possibly give it a shot in the future if I end up getting backed up with inventory. Ignore the haters, they're only seeing trees and missing the forest entirely.
Those who would be mad and complain (especially the one "struggling"), and honestly just jealous. Plain and simple. If as a reseller someone is struggling that much to feel that way; maybe it's time to just get a job? Never justify your choices with your inventory to anyone. Appreciate the honesty.

The people that get mad about someone selling something cheap is usually because they are selling the same thing and you are either cutting into their profits or they are worried your sold is now going to show up for buyers searching for the same item thinking the sale price you got is now the new normal price. Also, your AI description is wrong because you are using the "Sell Similar" item function but you aren't double checking what the original seller put in the "Item Specifics" section. Anything AI puts in your item description is because it's listed somewhere in your auction.
The AI auto descriptions are similar to Amazon's AI recommendation for shoe sizes. It keeps telling me after millions of reviews, I should order the 7.5 shoe size. I'm a 10.5.... Not sure who's reviewing my feet...

I've purchased a pair of Michael Kors glasses and when I got my new ones, I had them just use my MK frames. I have a pair of Ralph Lauren glasses too. I think I got charged an extra $24. to have them do it. I got the MK glasses on shopgoodwill auction for less than $10. On the mean comments you got on your garage sale? Some people are just full of "self importance". I don't use the AI description anymore cuz it made it sound so flowery and smarmy. I usually had to change some of the wording too.
Poshmark labels are up to 5 pounds. Over 5 pounds you have to pay to upgrade the label. 10 pounds might be the max, I don't remember.
