There is grooves in the ds carrier arms where the ts boxes handles lock. The ts boxes have spring loaded handles that will automatically lock with the ds arms.

Yes the yellow trays hold anything with kiazen foam. Sockets, drills and whatever else you can imagine.
The rolling box and the med box are larger than the crapout their small box is a little larger

Didn't know metal was cheaper... I always thought plastic was.
The metal are more durable but the plastic latches look nicer
