    damn lucky to find your video before buying it.
    I want the ABU feature to help me finally get rid of my scope stickers (or tape).
    but not compensating the angle when ranging and to finally give me the clicks i need is a NO NO.
    i hunt in mountains and birds off the tree, i need the angle calculated to my clicks.
    what do you recommend since im not gonna buy the Sig?
    I mean something that can show the MOA clicks on device?

    Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
    How about using it during the night? Is the reticle lit? Say I want to find a distance in the night. If I aim towards an objective, will I be able to see the measurement in the reticle? Does it show lit in red? Or is it impossible to use it without ambience light?
    Thanks!

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  4 роки тому

      The reticle is lit but it doesn't illuminate the target. If you can't see it with the naked eye, you can't see it through the viewfinder. Without night vision you wouldn't be able to range appropriately in the dark. Let me know and I'll do whatever test you'd like. I can take some images for you in low light but in darkness it would just be a red reticle on a black screen.

    Could you please explain how I can change the distance from 800 to longer like you have done. I could work out hoe you got to the page to change the distance to 1000 m
    Thank you

      Just change to the LOS mode or angle adjusted mode. The BDX mode only give you bullet calc to 800

    Can this rangefinder work out the drop of the bullet etc for any calibre...I have a 223 with a bushnell scope..would or can I input my bullet weight load etc...thnx

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  4 роки тому

      Yes. You can actually input multiple calibers and it then you can select which caliber in the app and the MIL/MOA will depend on the round you selected.
      I only used my 6.5 as an example but you can input whichever bullet you like. Hope this helps!

      Of all the things I wish I had when hunting, a more stable range finder was never one of them. This just seems like Nikon is solving a problem that doesn't exist.

    I have purchased a Sig bdx1800 thinking that it can read up to a 1000 Y. I would like to find out how to enter in the LOS mode my line of sight distance, the unit is rather difficult. Can you help and advise.

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo

      To enter LOS mode just use the app and select the options icon on the top right. It'll look like a gear. Then select LOS.
      And it'll read 1000y.....but just barely. It's definitely frustrating that it hits a limit near 1000

    Here is what I am searching for (been looking for at least an hour). How do you range something w the 1800 and have it send the hold over to the scope without the app? Ie: Shooting a target at 154 yrds and then move to a 339 target. I just want it to auto send the hold over. I cant find a place where this is explained :(

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  Рік тому

      hmmm this is a great question.. I've not messed with the scope side. From a pure processing power side it would be possible as the calculation is done inside the range finder.
      How you connect them without the phone acting as that bridge, I'm not sure. I'd hit up Sig support
      let me know though and I'll share with others!

    Okay im confused...I was about to go for the kilo 1600bdx. Is there more than 1 model of that? Also considering the new leupold rx1400. Does it have holdovers like bdx?

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo
      @ThinLineDefenseCo  3 роки тому +1

      My information card doesn't say anything about the 1600 unfortunately. Just pay attention the the laser type when you're purchasing.
      And I did the rx2800 TBR/w. It's fine if you don't want to use any of the extra features. I found the ranging on the leupold to be based off some odd zero's. Which made them completely useless.

    wow, i was about to buy this. Their approach to the marketing and the BDX has turned that into a hard no. Didnt even realize there were 2 different laser versions of this, thanks for the heads up. Doesnt display which version in 99% of the listings for the item. Looks like the SOK18601 SKU is the 3R, maybe? SOK18602 is the 1M? Still not even positive. 601 was embedded on a OP listing for the 1M, but multiple ebay listings show 601 as being 3R.
    Vortex warranty worth it if only to give SIG the finger on this one. Even if it would fit the bill nicely for my precision AR and bow.
    Anyone know which SKU is which for sure?

    • @ThinLineDefenseCo

      I'd go off my SKU if you want the 3R. For hunting inside 600, this would be great. If you're doing PRS.....I've even considered the 2200 just to get over 1000. But the BDX still won't work...I've given up on that

      No, the 1800 will range about 100-150 yards more than the 1600. About 100 yards between models.
