Thanks for the reaction. I've been a Wishbone Ash fan since about 1974. I saw them on the There's the Rub tour. Excellent. Anyway, the way people usually describe the two guitar lead work is to say that they are playing in harmony (you tried to describe it as the second in another key... close, but not quite). Anyway, thanks again for this. I hope that you may enjoy more Wishbone in the future.
Good man Todd!.You mentioned Argus, try out THE KING WILL COME, SOMETIME WORLD also THROW DOWN THE SWORD. Unfortunately some people think Argus is a prog album, the prog bands that sing about wizards and suchlike, its nothing like that. Its about war and the futility of war. War is timeless, so Argus was given a medieval setting. Another great band was PENTANGLE, an English folk group that was also influential on Wishbone Ash, they are one of the reasons Wishbone Ash had a folk sound. Many times they play harmonies in 6th’s not the more common 3rds. And I love when they rip a lead out of a major 7th chord! Next song should be “Lifeline” wow the guitars will blow you away.

Wishbone Ash have sooo much good songs. For me Persephone ist one of their best. I Love IT soooo much.
