Why is the notch on the right side then when you pull the door off the notch is on the left side?

I wondered the same until I noticed he flipped the door over to the other side. He was showing the inside plastic side first, then flipped it to show the metal side (along with the cable harness). Hot tip: I just did this myself, but could not source a new gasket on the weekend. I ended up carefully scraping off accumulated hardened soap and water crud using the dull side of a butter knife, white vinegar and a bit of elbow grease. Good as new.
