    Nice one, Scott. Maybe you'll find the humor in this. I had been soldering PE today, and so at about 18:45 as your are talking about adding metallic sheen with a pencil, I am seeing a soldering iron on screen!!! WTF!!!! I had to look back a few times to finally realize that you are using a mechanical pencil! Jeez, I need a break! LOL.

      Thanks Rick! That is funny. I find myself in an oblivion half the time as well. Maybe senility is on its way.😂

    Wow I never thought about using my punch and die for dial decals🤦, I will definitely remember that tip. Well done!

    Superb result Scott, and some very valuable tips throughout the video, thanks for that. Rear seat came out really well, the illusion of repeated use and I suppose use depression really popped with the pencil application. As always look forward to the next episode 👍👏👏👏

    Hi there Scott, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode,The use of real oil is obvious in hindsight, just a pity hindsight isn't 20/20 and I'll be tucking that one away. Looking forward to what you do with figures.

    Looks amazing Scott! You’ve packed so many different layered effects into such a tiny model. Lots of great tips to take to my bench.

      It’s really a matter of adding and removing the effects until it looks just right… or at least what I see in my head.

      @@SmallSoldier I’m doing a Tiger I build right now, and it looks really great except for the road wheels… they don’t look awful, just out of proportion, if that makes any sense

    Came out great, looking amazing 👌 can't wait for the figure painting video😬 may I ask you, when you recording your painting sessions, especially figure or bust painting, is your focus on manual or automatic? I am struggling there right now because I can't get the focus to do what I want him to do😁

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks my friend!🙂 I have an iPhone which I use and it’s pretty tough to get things to stay in focus sometimes. I find a spot that works for me and the phone then I use the AE/AF lock and this seems to get the job done. I’m looking to upgrade to the iPhone 13 pro max which has an amazing camera with macro and auto focus that really will be a game changer for me. Cheers

      @@SmallSoldier thanks my friend🙏 it's reassuring to hear that even the good guys like you seem to fight this battle with the focus😁 your videos are so professional. Seems like I underestimated the power of cellphone cameras as I always thought you were using a camera when looking at your well made videos. I guess I will have to try that too when I can't get my camera to cooperate, although I have an older S8. And of course, find a position where I can paint and film😁 Thanks again, cheers🍻
