For a price of b580 you can get a Radeon RX 7600 or XT version for the same money (in my country it is even cheaper than new Intels), you don't have to go for Nvidia if you don't have the money and still get a decent GPU.

Yes it performs poorly on older hardware, but if you are building a budget PC and want to spend the absolute minimum on anything above a 3050 with an kind of decent performance, the B580 is the cheapest option. It has upscaling and frame gen, it has it's own version of Nvidia Reflex, it has AV1 encoding, it has more VRAM than anything close to it's price range, and it's rasterization is surprisingly competitive on new budget systems in which every dollar counts. If you have the extra money, you wouldn't buy it, I get it, but it's the cheapest feasible GPU atm for those who have the hardware to benefit from it. The hate is not entirely warranted, and quite frankly, I find it kind of sad how Nvidia and AMD do no get this level of scrutiny, because their lower and mid range GPUs are AWFUL! The current low end 4000 gen GPUs barely beat their predecessors and in some cases lost to them. So let's keep things in perspective here. Nvidia's pricing in performance is a joke. They are giving you crap bus widths, low VRAM capacity, and tiny, tiny dies with weak TDP. Arguing the 4060 is what people actually want is WIIIIIIILD! Resizeable bar is also not a gimmick. This whole opinion piece is extreme confirmation bias. Nvidia has not given us what we have wanted for many years, and we are not asking for much...

After I learned of the CPU overhead, I returned the B580 and got the 3070 refurb for same price. Let me tell you lol. My FPS SKYROCKETED. and the 1% lows. 3070 even beats the 4060 ti in most games. Fantastic cartd for $279. Got a good model too withh an LED strip, very cool.

Also newer low end motherboards will sometimes only give you 8 PCIe lanes for a GPU if you have an NVMe PCIe x 4 SSD Installed, as those motherboard chipsets may not give you extra PCIe lanes. Intel GPUs, just aren't made for old hardware, and even older games that require an API prior to DX12 may be a problem. AMD Radeon and Nvidia Geforce have the advantage of making drivers that supported these APIs back from the beginning of GPU use. So, when getting an Intel GPU, keep two things in mind, you have to have newer hardware and only be playing newer games.

i7 7700k is the lowest you can go for without bottlenecking the GPU, though it still bottlenecks maybe a bit. Even that has Resizable BAR.
