I think the economy has to do with you seeing less people in PV. Everything is expensive and people are probably being a bit more cautious with their money. I could be totally wrong but it's what i assume.
Tourism webpages suggest participating in Las Posadas, but never explain how. General Las Posadas videos seem to suggest that the celebration is more private-celebrated with family and friends. Are there public Las Posadas events/celebrations that would be more appropriate for a tourist?
Las Posadas are private events between, business and employees, friends and family. Just like a business or private X-Mas party. You would need to be invited.

I only get $1400 social security every month. Housing is my main concern, can I find a 1 bedroom apartment away from Zona Romantica? It’s cheaper somewhere else correct?
@@VallartaLife I definitely am. I rather live close locals not tourist vacations. I will be coming February for just a week to find a place. Are hospitals close? Medical is number 1 to me and I lose my VA benefits for my medication so have to find a hospital to see my cost for my medication there.

Even though housing has gone up you might be able to find something more affordable if you are open to explore other local neighborhoods.
