It makes me so happy how much Brad is invested in Sansa. It's always so disheartening to see how much hate she gets from most men. She is a bad bitch who's been through too much
Also how much hate the actress got in real life, like wtf
It’s so refreshing to watch Brad’s reactions I swear, as a Sansa Stark stan (both books and show version) it’s healing my heart 😭😭😭
I think the reason she gets so much hate is because a lot of casual viewers can’t see past surface level and don’t look deep into her character, they just find her annoying rather than actually thinking about why she does what she does
Not the Valentines Day drop 💀
it’s just another day to me babes 😂
@@BradEvans21Facts💯
@@BradEvans21 I wouldn't have even known it was Valentine's day if the lady at the dollar store hadn't said it to me while ringing up my doritos LOL.
@@BradEvans21not this ☠️
@@BradEvans21 thar hit a little too close to home 💀😭
As a historian it's very fun how they show the show's politicians like Cersei do what real life politicians have been doing forever - leveraging religion for political/financial gains while not being particularly religious themselves AND being "sinners" and criminals themselves. Goood writing.
Totally agree. Sounds exactly like a recent president for sure.
George is a bit of a historian himself and took a lot of his writing from different happenings in the actual War of The Roses. 🥀
So true!!!
That was a great choice in my opinion (to add religion + politics). Also I'm studying history in uni ☺
I also like how the character of the High Sparrow is left ambiguous.
Is he a sincere religious zealot? Or is he trying to manipulate the masses for his own ambitions?
We'll never know.
I wish sansa's last straw didn't have to be this bad
It didn't
None of this happened in the books
Sansa is nowhere near Ramsey
@@Nicholas_is_my_name yep I knew that that's why I think this wasn't necessary
@@Nicholas_is_my_name I prefer the show to the most of the books. I wish they didn't show as much as they did but rape is a real thing that has happened to many people- including people in power, and especially to women whom are subject to powerful husbands. It feels realistic. Especially considering the histories in England that the whole story is based on anyways. The war of the roses was wrought with awful happenings and backstabbings
lowkey spoiler tbh
@@notamberp oh wait I edited my comment to make it less obvious at first but brad has already read it 😭
"My name is Sansa Stark of Winterfell. This is my home, and you can't frighten me."
PERIOD 😌
No matter how many times I have seen GoT, I cannot re-watch the part on Sansa' wedding night. I turn the tv off and count down.
I guess you would be happy to know that Sansa was never near Ramsey in the books
@Nicholas_is_my_name someone else was 😢
it's one of the most traumatizing scenes on this show for me
@@Aydan2108 And way worse things happened to Jeyne 😢
35:02 notsquire: "He has a birthmark your grace"
Loras, in an alternate universe: "Yes, he was my squire and I did ask him into my chambers the day we met because I needed help getting dressed for bed due to a recent injury. That would be when he saw the birthmark. Nothing untoward happened between us."
exactly...
More like Loras if this had happened in season 4 :P
(Kinda kidding but not really).
someone once said that anybody who does not like Sansa, is a misogynist. And I stand by that theory, like you said at the end there, how could you not feel for the girl and wish her the best after all she’s been through
To be fair, you can't like a character just because they go through the most trauma. I'll never understand why when writers want you to root for someone who isn't written well, they make them experience the worst. It's cheap. Of course you'll feel bad for them, and people felt terrible for Sansa here. Of course they wished so much better for her. But that doesn't mean she was automatically a good character, just because we see her be abused the most. Characters need more to be good characters. And yes, there are reasons to like Sansa for sure (for those people who do like her), just none of those reasons are nessesarily that she's the most traumatised.
She is the Alicent of GOT
@@moni4369 was this comment necessary? it’s not only the trauma she’s been through, it’s everything that comes with it. she’s been very unlucky but she’s been playing with the cards that were dealt to her in the best way possible
@@applejuulsthey had a point
@@applejuuls It was necessary, because you called people misogynists based on their taste in fictional characters. That was quite harsh in my opinion. Other than that, I see what you mean.
"people didnt like Sansa" the show runners were incompetent and cruel and the show was widely marketed to some of the worst people you know and thats where the narrative came from/lingers. How someone feels about Sansa Stark really became part of my litmus test for friends lol
Absolutely
Exactly. Sadly they pretty much ruined Sansa's character for shock value, she becomes such flat character in S7 and S8...
the birthmark being proof of loras’s homosexuality is so stupid because it’s perfectly normal for a squire to know that, squires would fix their knight’s armours or set out a bath like it’s so stupid
the whole plotline is just slow, drawn out and borderline homophobic
What’s your point? Of course they’re homophobic? We’re in medieval times. Also I’m pretty sure squires only help with taking care of their horses, their weapons, help put their armour on and follow them into battle to gain experience. The stuff you mentioned would be more the work of a servant, no?
And helping with their armour doesn’t really mean they would see the knight naked
@@MT-xq4km it wouldn’t be weird at all if a knight were to undress in front of his squire though. that’s what i meant lol
@@nameslesss Oh right! I still think this scene is necessary though. And notice they asked for a trial instead of outright saying he was gay
Sansa is actually my favorite character in game of thrones. I love her a lot. I think the Sansa hate comes from how realistic of a character she is from how much trauma she faces. I think Jon, Arya & Daenerys are fan favorites because they are badass in a flashy way, Tyrion too with his quick wit, but the reason why I love Sansa is because she is subtle & real. She is most human who goes through really traumatic human experiences. I think the Sansa hate is a projection on people’s own insecurities.
i really liked her until the last season. Her attitude gives me the ick.
Edit: typo
@19Rena96 same, I understood her because she was young but I couldn't stand her in the last seasons
Period
I've liked her very much during the last season. Actually I really liked her character's development and as I may have understood, not quite the same in the books.
@@MetalPharoah omg are you serious? Delete that!!!
Brad needs a stress ball for these episode lmao
I think Margaery goes both ways (Jennifer’s Body reference, bisexual icon). Idk , that’s my perception. She said “Some people like heavy men, tall men, ugly men, pretty men, pretty girls” to Sansa in 3x7 and then she said something about most people not knowing what they want until they try it, and that, sadly, most of us (women especially) get to try so little before we are old and gray. And she said so in a way that you can see that she feels what she is saying. And the “Yes, sweet girl, my mother taught me” killed me 😂.
Anyway, who the hell is Cersei to talk about “sin”???? Like, helloooo, Sweet Home Alabama??
People were BIG MAD after this
Buckle up for the rest of the season. Doesnt get much less traumatic. 😭
The wedding dress realisation scream made me laugh out loud 😂🥲
Oh queen I was waiting for the furious response to the sansa/bolton plot
brad needs therapy after watching these episodes
Let's take a moment to appreciate Iwan Rheon (Ramsay's actor) and Alfie Allen (Theon's). They make both of those caracters so real
At least you didn’t have to read the scene in the books. Ramsey makes Theon ‘participate’. Thankfully it’s not Sansa in the books.
who was it in the books, if you don't mind
I don't remember her name but it was like some girl they sent in place for Sansa, it stopped being Sansa after the Lannisters, Baelish never took her to the vale im sure @@patriciaramirez2982
@@patriciaramirez2982 in the books Sansa's friend Jeyne Poole is the one to marry Ramsey, but they are pretending she is Arya. She is the one to wipe Sansas cheek in the very first episode when Arya flings food at her
wait does his 🍆 not get cut off in the books?
So just because it's not sansa then it's okay?
I feel we need to pay for Brad’s therapy bills
Ramsey is a disgusting pos. Ethan Klein popping up to insult him made it better, lol. And you're right; Sansa did sound sexy. She's really coming into herself. It's depressing that she has to endure Ramsey...
I love Sansa. She was a brat at first (but I mean she had every right to be tbh first born daughter of a prominent family etc) and I’m not going spoil anything but the character development is elite.
Brad is in the exact same spot of the GOT series as Don’t Trust Hannah, and the pair of them are SO delightfully unhinged with their commentary. It’s incredibly entertaining getting to constantly watch them react to these episodes back to back… well, maybe not specifically THESE episodes in s5 that are particularly desolate 💀 but in general
i'd LOVE to see them react to something together, i think they'd be so great as a team, and brad is miles better than her wanker boyfriend
Same! I’ve been watching Hanna’s since she started and I just caught up to Brads from binging. He’s gonna finish before her tho because she only does one episode every other week while he binges 2-3 a video. They both are a hilarious delight to watch specifically from an American perspective.
Sansa honestly became my favourite character over the course of the show. Not that a woman should have to go through anything like what she does to become strong or resilient but my god, that woman is tough. Everything she faces she only comes out stronger the other side. She’s amazing. And yes, you can keep watching. It will get better for her (eventually).
NO BC WHY DID I LOVE SANSA'S VOICE IN THE BATH SCENE TOO......
1.) I *love* when Brad sings the intro theme song.... it gives me life.
2.) waiting for Brad to experience the bromance between Jon and Tormund
3.) All I can say about Ramsay and Myranda is patience comes to those who wait
4.) Myrcella is the most innocent Lannister
5.) Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns, and my honest to the Old Gods and the New Gods, to the Drowned God of the Iron Islands and the Gods of Old Valyria, MY FAVORITE CHARACTER
In the books, Littlefinger actually has another minor character posing as Arya Stark marry Ramsay... (that character doesn't exist on the show)
But her wedding night is even more disturbing than Sansa's was in the show...
I’m literally on the train home rn, looking for something to watch on your channel right as you uploaded this. Perfect.
i’m sorry but this season is TRAUMATIZING!! i also never understood how people didn’t like Sansa past the first season. I love her, she’s my girl and that is why i physically cannot watch that scene 😭
I can see why people didn’t like her during season 7 and 8 even if I don’t hate her myself. But no spoilers
I say it under almost every video but idgaffff THE EDITS ARE OUTSTANDINGGGGGG can’t get enough, every Patreon episode is re watched purely for the 10/10 editing 😍🦋
Happy Valentine’s Day! I know this was a hard watch, and without any spoilers.. Sansa is one of my favorite characters of all time and I relate a lot to her and hate seeing her go through the ringer. But just keep watching. You won’t be disappointed that you did! ❣️🐺

The alteration in Sansa's story is one of the changes I hate the most from the books. The "wedding night scene" is worse in the novel. The whole marriage, in fact
So much worse
@@lissy2000us It LITERALLY gave me nightmares the first time I read it. And I do mean that literally. One of the most horrific things in the ASOIAF novels. I'm so mad they gave Sansa this storyline (though somewhat relieved they didn't go as far as the book did).
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am for you to see episode 1 of season 6. My favorite episode of the entire franchise!!!! Ahhhh Cersei is mother. Evil mother. But still mother. Haha
When this last episode came out I was at uni and living with 5 boys. I remember us all sat around watching and I started uncontrollably sobbing and all the boys were looking at me awkwardly and trying to comfort me. I still to this day can't watch *that* scene. Crazy af
Sansa has that effect on people- making people ride hard for her as the series goes on.
So useless, having everything handed to her
@@Aydan2108 Right, handing her over to different people who are worse than the ones before them. Bffr.
I love Sansa. She’s made of steel 😭
It feels illegal to be this early.. not as illegal as this episode tho
And what particularly breaks me is that this entire Sansa/Ramsey plot is NOT in the books 😭 my sweet girl deserved so much better! I feel you on every emotion babe 😭
In the Book it was way worse
I didnt even know thats possible
Yeah. They needed a shocking scene of a young girl getting assaulted. And for morbid curiosity they chose to linger on the scene.
@@miss_conduct.this was right after she turned 18 to so the intention is clear as day🤢
@@PKK_edits Honestly glad they omitted that part of the plot from the show entirely cause it's way too dark. But hate they kept some of it as "plot development" for Sansa.
@@miss_conduct. Agreed. And it actually sucks, cause the show is generous enough with the explicit violence against women. We didn't need to see Sansa go through it too.
That end scene in episode 6 was the hardest for me to watch in the whole show but good on you for powering through brad
I always debate warning reactors about that episode because its ROUGH to watch emotionally. At this point, my opinion on it is that this show gives us all the facets of humanity. That being said, I could have done without it.
Edit:
Sansa is my favorite character by far. She is me. I understand her. I understood her from the start.
Also I was just about to do some Valentine’s Day painting, and I swear whenever I am you upload a video! So about to paint and watch you! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
Absolutely love these. Keep them coming Brad, it's the highlight of my week. ❤
I quit the show after THIS episode. But I’m glad I finished it 😂
I remember the outrage over the Sansa scene. Deserved. Imo, that didn’t need to be in the show. It was already a given he would be horrible to her, no need to show the actual abuse happening. But honestly, this show has always treated its female characters horribly. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be able to put themes of sexual abuse in a show but this is just purely to torture and shock the audience, not to enhance the story
That's an interesting take, but I was puzzled over the outrage - the show had done worse I thought. Drogo had raped Daenerys, people had been burned, Theon had been mutilated, and the entire Red Wedding, including the graphic stabbing of a pregnant woman in the stomach and the killing of Robb in front of his mother. I'm not defending this, it was horrible, but I'm puzzled that people who'd made it this far would quit over this. Unless it was maybe the last straw!
@@Silver_Owl I guess it was a last straw thing. Coupled with the fact that this deviated from the books. The horrible things that happened before served a purpose in the story. The red wedding was the low point for house stark, seemingly taking away their whole future. Theon’s torture was part of his redemption arc. Drogo and Daenerys was the start of her journey to independence. But what purpose did the rape of Sansa serve? We had already seen her suffer at the hands of a man she was promised to. She was already nearly raped before. She had just started to take the reigns and evolve beyond the damsel that needs to be rescued. And then the camera pans to Theon in the end as if what happens to Sansa serves no other purpose than to kickstart Theon's escape from Ramsey.
@@StellaTZH I understand where you're coming from, (and I get the last straw thing!), but I don't see much difference between this as part of Sansa's arc, and Theon's castration and Daenerys's rape as part of their arcs. Got to be careful what I say here, no spoilers, but Sansa later refers back to her abuse from Ramsay as being something that changed her, so it's as much a part of someone's arc as those scenes were. Like I said I'm not defending this scene, but it doesn't strike me as different from showing Theon's castration or Daenerys's rape, and we saw about the same in those scenes as we did in this one. And we didn't need to see as much as we did at the Red Wedding - but they showed it.
Re panning to Theon - this is part of his arc as well as Sansa's I think, but I don't think including him means it serves no purpose for her. And this scene is in the books, although with a different woman, and it is much worse in the books. They toned it down for the show.
"Chaos is a ladder" - Lord Baelish
Seen it on patreon but had to watch it here as well because I just LOVE the editing, always makes me giggle, appreciate you Brad and all that you do for your viewers 🩷
I love that I come back to watch the edited version just because the editing is -chef's kiss-! I've only watched the unedited versions two times each 😂
Brad must be protected at all cost 🥰🥰🥰 I could listen to him all day 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The accent, Handsome face and his personality is everything 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yes. That was the appropriate response😢...
Love Tyrions face when he sees his first dragon. Never mix politics and religion...Never tempt karma. Kiss, kiss, and a big hug, I know the end was rough it was for us all. Thanx so much, take care, Peace
I've only watched this episode once, and I remember when I watched it I felt like I could never watch this show again. It was so hard to sit there
Don't worry, Ramsay gets what's coming to him.
YES Brad that's what i've always said! I can't FATHOM how people hate Sansa she's been my favourite if not from the very beginning then pretty early on and I just feel so much for her you can't NOT root for her!!! (and i would completely agree on not wanting to watch any got again after this!)
Oh damn! You dropped the infamous ep on Valentine’s Day too 🤯
This is where I fully tapped out and I did not regret it based on the reviews of the final seasons.
Smart decision
From season 5 onwards none of this is Canon anyway
lol u missed when sansa became the boss and the baddie she is. season 8 wasnt even that bad tbh. the reviews are just ppl upset that it didn’t end the way they wanted. dont shit on the rest of the show when u haven’t even finished it.

The one thing I can understand is people not liking Sansa in the beginning when she was pining for Joffrey. She was a pompous idiot in the start but she was also a literal child. But her story arc turns into one of my favorites and it just keeps getting better.
Every time I watch your videos I book a flight on Expedia.
I have never seen Game of Thrones, so I'm watching it through these reactions. And I'm so glad I am. Lol.
I love how much you love Sansa, she's been through literal hell since s1 without any breaks like ... that last scene i can't even watch. The way i despise ramsay oh.. words can't even describe my anger, rage and hate towards this character
I get why people resort to comparing Arya's bravery and strength with Sansa's.
But I think they are both GREAT examples of different ways of being strong smart women! Arya is outspoken, stubborn and physically fights back/takes life when need be. Sansa pursued more "feminine" goals such as marriage, kids and wanting to be a princess etc etc.
But women can be either or/both AND be strong! ❤Sansa unfortunately goes through so much as she tries to navigate a world where women are literally treated as nothing and has to learn how to move forward through those experiences.
*** As a young woman who is a victim of SA, this was a very hard episode to watch. Theon's reaction was mine and I had to mute the scene. Ramsay is a monster😡
Omg this ep was so hard to watch. I cried like crazy
Brad not this on Valentine's 💀
Love your videos so much! 💗
brad omg your next watch has to be something light and sweet 😭 a disney movie or something
Yay!! This is the best Valentine’s Day gift!! Happy sweet hearts day Brad Boo & yess this was too much I just wanted to jump in the screen & fight them like “Leave Sansa alone!”
People hate Sansa for two reasons, the first is that she is not the typical female characters in fantasy, it is a genre where women are often badass or become badass, they know how to fight or they have powers. Here we have a typical young girl like we find in real life, a young girl who dreams, I would even say fantasizes, about love and Prince Charming. A girl who is a bit of a brat like many children about her age (I work with children, the bratty side is often a phase). A young girl who does not know how to fight like Arya or who does not have magical abilities like Melissandre or a dragon like Daenerys and even if she is very feminine she is not like Maergaery or like Cersei who uses her feminine assets precisely to manipulate others. Unfortunately Sansa is none of that, she's just a girl who dreams of love and "likes pink". And the second is because of another character that everyone simp, I won't say more so as not to spoil it. I would also add a third reason: people don't like realistic characters with real human emotions, imperfect people who will react like them, no, people prefer perfect characters with perfect reactions.
Happy valentines, perfect day to celebrate a loving union
how your guesses about what will happen are always right😢, I LOVEE YOUR VIDEO'S BTW❤❤
So. I already watched on Patreon. I can’t wait to see what he does with the edits.
Keep it up babes it all comes back around 🎉🎉🎉
I also start pacing when watching really intense stuff. My lady always laughs about it. Sometimes it's just a lot!
i didn't see it mentioned but a "fun" little easter egg: the outfit Theon is wearing to Sansa's wedding is the outfit Robb was wearing at the Red Wedding. them Boltons are sick in the head
This was in the top of the hardest episodes for me to watch. Sansa was one of my least favorite characters in the first two seasons who then became one of my top
favorites. Her arc of character development, for me was the best in the show. Keep watching!

Sansa GETS hers
This whole season was one I had to drop and pick back up because of how devastating it was to watch.
People are disgusting towards Sansa tbh. The amount of times I’ve seen people say she “deserved” what happens to her even before the Ramsay storyline is sick. Genuinely think it’s a lack of empathy and deep seated misogyny. Full stop

yeah, this was my, and many others', quitting point with this show. even after i quit watching it myself, the amount of truly uncomfortable discussions i had with friends about stuff that subsequently happened on 'game of thrones'... there was no way i was gonna stick it out three more seasons. good luck, i genuinely hope you continue to receive enough views to pay for massages, bubble bath, and therapy after reacting to stuff like this
Oooo I could cry a little bit 🫶🏼 I love that 🥹❤️

All I’ll say is I hope you continue with the show.
People who scream that Thomas just sat there, are just muppets to be sure. He’s like all of 14yrs old, no training and quite frankly, has no power over the Sparrows, which is Cerci’s fault.
