Great video. How would this work if you were to add a TV outside and have a different game playing outside vs inside? What would you need to have the outside TV play through the outdoor Sonos speakers? So the goal would be to have one game playing inside through the sound bar and in-wall speakers, and another game playing outside through the outdoor speakers.

Also, do you see/hear any delay when using your kitchen in-ceiling speakers grouped with your living TV and sound bar? Mainly when watching a game, not so much of listening to Spotify. Thank you in advance!

Hi ! Thanks for the question! You can have one game outside and one game inside, yes 100%. The best way I find is to have a soundbar for each TV but you not required need to. When I add a TV outside I’m going to connect that TV directly to my existing outdoor AMP.
As for sound sync, with my current setup no I have no issue with sound sync. But before I had the soundbar on the TV and I was using Airplay, yes the sound would get out of sync. Actually putting a video together now with all the questions I got and I’ll address them… I’ll add this one :)
But I hope that answered your question

@@FamilyDIYtv Thank you for replying. Just to confirm, for the TV outside (when you plan on doing this), you plan to run an HDMI cord from the AMP (in your basement) to your TV so it will directly play in to the outdoor speakers? I am thinking of doing the same thing.
I plan on doing a similar setup as yours for inside as well. I am little worried about only an ARC and a sub for my great room (vaulted ceilings are 20ft). So grouping them with some in-wall and in-ceiling speakers might be a good addition. Thanks again! I look forward to your Q&A video on Sonos.

Don’t know if you have done this in other videos but can you link two of the ceiling speakers with the arc and sub to create the surround sound effect when watching a movie?

Did the same the Denon HEOS. My AVR integrated right with it, and with my hifi diy speakers and SVS sub it sounds amazing

I still don't understand what the Amp does.

The amp is the hub for everything that will power it all and get it all connected. Amp just means “amplifier”.
In a previous video he installed the in-ceiling speakers which require an amp. This is because they are called “passive speakers” which means they do not have a built in amplifier. The in ceiling speakers required him to run speaker wire to the speakers themselves and also the amp .
He wouldn’t need an amp if he only had the soundbar and subwoofer
Think of the amp as the electrical panel in your house, it brings everything together

The AMP allows you to wire/power passive speakers, such as ceiling speakers or my outdoor speakers. You can think of each AMP as it's own "zone" powering it's group of speakers. So i have two AMP's, one for kitchen speakers and one for outdoor speakers.
      AMP is stand alone.
When you get an AMP it's like buying another SONOS speaker. you can connect to it and play music or group it with other SONOS speakers/AMPs.
      hope that helped.

    Way too expensive

Had that opinion for years, even went as far to create my own budget system using amp and echo dot - worked pretty good but not as good as Sonos. Once, I got Sonos I never looked back. On the surface it seems expensive but for what you get, I think it’s well worth it !
      But respect your opinion ;)
