First…I’m a career woman…foregoing having a family in favor of becoming a successful and fulfilled Chemical Engineer. I can tell you I am FAR FROM OFFENDED by this speech. In fact, I am TOUCHED that he’s addressing the “shame” that many FEMINISTS ***force**** upon women who choose to create a loving family and stay home to raise their Children and be FULFILLED by doing so. My Mother did so and enjoyed it. I have NEWS FOR YOU Feminists…now, at 59 I REGRET not taking a break from my career to have a child or two. Now I face the harsh reality that my ADVANCED DEGREE will not be helping me thru my later years…no Grandkids to enjoy…no….I chose my degree over a family and there are times I wish I hadn’t. You Feminists need to BACK OFF Women who, chose Family over career.
Well put. It's one thing to say women should have the choice to go out into the workforce and have a career, that's a no-brainer. It's another thing to insist that women must enter the workforce, and shame them if they don't. Oh well she's JUST a housewife! At some point feminism decided that the way to measure a woman's worth is by the man's scale. You must succeed in the man's world to be a successful woman! You must possess masculine traits to be a successful woman! Not only does it completely diminish the immense value of the feminine, but it also sets most women up for failure to insist that they need to beat men at their own game in order to succeed as a woman. Nothing ruins women quite like feminism.
👏 There's absolutely no shame in being a stay home mother. Only the needless shame (and judgement) that society wants to cast on people that don't support their own beliefs. The world does not revolve around you (or your feelings).
I am a Christian grandmother, wife, American. I got my degree at 21, went to work, met my husband. After 5 years of marriage and work, I had my daughter. I had a nanny picked out. When I laid eyes on this precious baby, the hounds of hell could not take me away from her. Thank God I have a Godly husband who saw the value in raising my own children. He took on the work load needed to pursue our plan for a successful family. Our Plan...Not yours, anyone who wants to hate....we are all free to live our lives as we choose. Thank God.
I think many women have every intention of going back to work after their first child is born but then once that baby is in their arms, if there's any possible chance of staying home, they do. I realize that not every woman has this choice. There are parts of the country where this is much more possible than others. The point is, there should be a choice either way.
I am a non-religious, (but spiritual) person. If Anyone decides to stay home and raise children with values, WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE!!??!!?? Only an idiot would argue this point!! My mother is rolling in her grave....
Nice decision but it was your decision. People aren't all cut from the same cloth. Some women choose an entirely different path. They would give the same kind of glowing testimony about their life's decisions as you do. What's important is that women have the choice rather than having to try and pick the right man to take care of them because they have no other options. The world is a much wider and diverse place then you imagine and won't fall apart if many women choose not to follow today's version of the traditional wife's role. Viva la difference!
My Mum was the opposite. Clever, but denied a career. She loved us, but her whole life she felt she'd missed our on her real life in the working world, never failing to tell us this. I always felt sad fir her.

I have a degree from a great California university but there's no accolade better than the praise and affection I get from my kids and husband when I serve them. I needed to forgo the high power career track to stay home and homeschool my kids with learning difficulties. Living on one income was hard but so worth it. My son graduates in two weeks with honors, an accomplishment that was very hard won and I am so proud of him for persevering. The one income life is not possible for many but, if you can swing it, do it, moms! And homeschool is not for every kid or mom but it has brought us many blessings that the extra income could not buy. Grace and peace to you all.
"...but it has brought us many blessings that the extra income could not buy." Well said, Mom. Money cannot buy the Love, Success, and Joy that your family brings you. Money, Fame, Fortune; those things come and go. Your family is FOREVER.
Ask a mature woman with a family what her proudest moments are. She gonna say, "I lead the regional sales team for three quarters straight in 2007"? Why should anyone who takes the most amount of pride in their family, not still strive for the dean's list, for a college degree, or any other endeavor? I’m a retired British police officer, years ago some of us were invited to attend a “ Meet a successful female police officer seminar” The successful police woman turned out to be the first female Chief Constable, in the UK, a pretty lofty position to achieve, I might add. I went along with a female colleague who herself had never sought or got any promotions during her 30 years service. She was smart and a great street cop. When it came to the Q&A’s she stood up after listening to all the plaudits, platitudes being displayed by the master of ceremonies and she asked a very simple question. She said” I have had three children, raised them throughout their lives, paid for their university fees and seen them to go and get married and have children of their own, my question to the female Chief Constable is” Would you consider me a successful police woman” As you can imagine the question was met by a stunned silence.
The things that she mentioned are related to her being a mother not to her being a police woman. If she wants to ask if she is a successful police woman then she should mention her achievements as a police woman and then ask if those achievements make her a successful police woman.
@@globalnationalismyoutube unfortunately you miss my point she never measured her own success, she was merely pointing out that a persons own lifestyle/individual choices, can be a success for the individual, who don’t seek out platitudes of perceived success. Being a woman myself I will bet you that if women didn't need that second salary in order to make ends meet that many of them would choose to stay home.
It has been worked out since the beginning stages of the global world order, which the plan was to break the nuclear family (which is us), and allow the state to rule society. The cost of inflation and dirty economics plowed it's way into our systems overtime, and made life more expensive, which caused the upkeeping of life financially more difficult by requiring more work, as they narrowed our currency down by exhausting its purchasing power through endless printing, and the only way for average human beings to compensate has been by adding more work, which often is by systematically forcing the other partner, the women, to commit to working alongside the men, as you said in order to make ends meet. Much unlike the 70s when the mother could stay at home and the father could work one job and pay for a house. Nowadays two parents hardly make ends meet renting a property. This is much more complicated, and the little agendas that were measured and set out upon, examples being such as making men weak and amplifying feminism in order to further weaken the family, have so far been achieved mostly. We get ever closer to letting the state rule our lives, and our children. This was one main goal of many. Removing parental consent is one of the biggest objectives, because it gives them rights and control over our lives at a early age and ultimately, which instead should always and ultimately be up to the parents, allowing us to maintain and keep our sovereignty as human beings by acting upon ourselves under the rule of God, and not the government. Instead life is now upside down, mother and fathers are dysfunctional, parents authority being displaced by the state, and God removed from the picture, this is the way of the new world order.
1. Women fought their way into the workforce. When you increase the supply of workers by roughly 35-40%, the most basic form of common sense will tell you wages will plummet. Women created much of the one income not being enough issue 2. Almost all the women I’ve ever seen wisen up do so after they have kids. It’s as if they are incapable recognizing they want to stay home once they have kids beforehand. It’s extremely childish and shows how incapable they are of thinking beyond the end of their noses. 3. Women get tons of often useless college degrees, run up TONS of student debt, then burden their husbands with it and want to stop working as hard/work part time/stop working once they have kids. This dumps a huge amount of stress on the husband. Women tend do to this at around 30 when they spent the last 5-10 years traveling, living in expensive single apartments bc they can’t stand to live with another woman/women, sleeping around, no sacrifices to get out of debt. So men effectively have to subsidize this insolent behavior. 4. Men are generally willing to live much cheaper and more simply than women are. Women say they want to stop working but then demand a lifestyle that isn’t congruent. 5. Women OVERWHELMINGLY vote for leftist high taxes, high regulation, affirmative action, government handouts, “student loan forgiveness”, and inflation causing policies that make life at least 30% more expensive by my rough calculation. This makes two incomes a necessity. 6. Instead of building with a good man on their dating marketplace level when they are young, women sleep with the top 10% of men who are out of their league. This damages them, makes most other men check out, and turns the top men into monsters. This drives down wages of men who don’t see a reason to try because one or the primary motivators for them to make more money is a nice, conservative, no promiscuous past, non-indebted, fit, feminine, 20’s (fertility) wife (less than 2% of women meet these basic requirements). Remove a primary motivator for men and they stop caring. In summary, women did it to themselves over the last half century and it will continue to get worse until things collapse.
The only thing I would add to his speech is that many men feel the same way and they've been shamed into believing that if you don't work 80 hour weeks you can't be successful. The most important part of life is BALANCE. Believe me, few companies care about you and you can be replaced within minutes.

My heart jumped for joy when I heard the speech. It takes moral courage to speak candidly about marriage and family values that are being attacked in all facets of society. My wife has been a homemaker, rearing our children for many years, while I am the breadwinner in the family. I believe it is God's design for a husband to be the head of the household to shoulder that financial burden while the wife rears the children. There are too many children being raised by a single mom or dad, and that is tragic where kids are morally bankrupt or suffer emotional trauma for the rest of their lives.
I myself as an atheist lifelong bachelor and someone who does not like the presence of children around can understand the importance of the family unit . Is the backbone of our society .
Precisely. My aunt never had any interest in marriage or having children, but still took a lot of time out to help my mom by babysitting us since both of my parents worked long shifts. While families and having kids is important, even those without kids should recognize the reasons family matters, or even get involved depending on what life places in their path (eg. my aunt).
I too identify like you (I’m not anti kids, I was just realised the sacrifice wasn’t for me) and I totally agree with your statement. The world would be a more pleasant place if those hysterical karens & cucks from the left realised that just because a life choice works for them, it doesn’t HAVE to work for everyone else.
Shit, my mom stayed home and raised four sons while my dad worked. After we were all in school, my dad retired after 25 years or so, took up home keeping duties, and kept busy with odd jobs and helping others. She went to have a career of her own. She just retired after almost 25 years. Both, or either are completely valid choices.

@@KlaudiaShaefferr The diabolical lie he's suggesting here is the idea that women should focus on their careers OVER family. And I don't think anyone really thinks that that message is a good idea for the majority of families. There are some childless or single people that could work for but most people would do well to prioritize their family over their career. Whether that means staying at home, taking a sick day or just making quality time depends on the case. Careers end, family doesn't (if take care of it well). When you're 70, family will generally still be there while the career is in the rearview mirror. Even if you don't have kids, you'll typically still have cousins, nephews, nieces, siblings, etc to be around. The only thing is he didn't need to limit his talk to women - it's equally true for men.

This is why progressives and liberals are two different things, and while actual liberals can also be frustrating at times (especially by how easily they get influenced by progressives), they're still supposed to be all for a free exchange of ideas, and tolerance of different lifestyles, unlike progressives.

America start going downhill when mothers walked out the door to go to work my mom said that not me and now I look around and kind of see what's going on God bless America
No, America started going downhill with the liberalization of divorce laws. Now, 1/3 of white kids are raised with no father in the home. With blacks, it’s about 70%. These men are irresponsible bums who don’t want to stick around and support their kids, so they run off and let the welfare take over. And what about the “homeless.”? In CA, about 80% of them are white males. And they’re homeless because they’re drug addicts. So this country needs to address the issue of what’s wrong with young men and their unwillingness to take responsibility. And liberalizing drug laws? Well, expect to get more of the same; thousands of “homeless” men living in the streets. You can’t address the issue of women either not having kids, or raising them on their own, without also addressing the fact that for many of these women, no responsible husband will ever exist.
Traditional values are not respected or valued by many in our world. Clearly that is one of the reasons we are in such a mess. We are the majority, let's never forget that.
This is a well thought out commencement address that inspired confidence to the student and congratulations to their mothers. Far different than the "downer" commencement address that Biden recently gave at a Black College! I usually don't agree with Bill Maher, but with his thought on this address, I do!
With a loving attitude such as that, if Marie Curie had you for a father she never would've discovered radium. That's a joke, I don't know where these people get their arguments from. They have a list of bad faith topics to pretend to be offended about.
This man is really concerned about the nonsense women have been fed, and he is telling them the truth. There is no shame, and indeed, great honor, that comes with choosing to be a full-time mother. If I had to do it all over again, I would spend about ten years working while saving. Then it would be all about having children and raising a family with my husband.
But if women want to work that is OK too. Neither choice should be shamed. I like his speech because he encouraged them to be mother's but didn't put down those who don't want to be mothers.
When I was a teenager back in the sixties my mom couldn’t understand women who complained about staying home. She was in her fourties’ then and had worked non stop since she was in high school. I had missed her too, but she always did her best as a mom and an employee. It was a pure joy that I got to take care of her in last years of life. Family is always the best in my mind even when there are political squabbles during Thanksgiving.
Because society told those women that they NEEDED and SHOULD stay at home and they SHOULD get married, no matter how much they had no interest in staying at home, getting married or having kids. Those women were complaining about it because that choice was taken away from them. That was also the time when a woman couldn't get a credit card WITHOUT her husband's permission.
Ask any woman “offended” by this if they care more about their kids and husband or their job and watch them shut their mouth real quick. Women hate hearing the truth from a man.
It's like while I'm dancing for the first time in years at a party and my father calls me and says, "Remember, studies are important too. Your exams are near." Just because you're telling the Truth doesn't mean it's the time and the place to say it. Saying my shit is brown while I'm eating is true but totally uncalled for.
As President (prophet) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints stated: “But my dear sisters, your ability to discern truth from error, to be society’s guardians of morality, is crucial in these latter days. And we depend upon you to teach others to do likewise. Let me be very clear about this: if the world loses the moral rectitude of its women, the world will never recover.”
Having listened to him and his speech, he congratulated the young women and told them they’d be well on their way to a a career. OR, they could perhaps choose something different. I was lead to believe freedom of choice was a good thing.
He basically said "you all just spent 4+ years of your lives to work your asses off to get a degree so you can start your career. Mother's and father's are the foundation. And there has been for far too long too many single mother's doing it all alone, especially in the Black communities of America. Great address by this young man. And one that needs to be heard again and again. ✌️💚🌄
That’s because there aren’t men in those communities who will uphold their responsibilities, so the women have to go it alone. I’m white, grew-up in an all white housing project. It was all women and children on welfare, because the husbands/fathers had abandoned them. Until men start upholding their responsibilities, especially in poor areas, women have no choice but to never have kids, or to have kids and raise them in poverty. I’m a female and never had children because of what I saw growing up; there’s no way that I would ever trust a man to take care of me when I was vulnerable, through pregnancy and while raising young children. I have a good career, but I wish I had a few children, but my father abandoned us, left us without food and we lived in our car til we got in the rejects, and I wasn’t about to subject any child of mine to that life.
Once again it's the rich like Maher (who apparently didn't listen to the whole speech) and Butker telling all of us that being educated and having independence is a bad thing for women and a good thing for men. He actually said that men set the tone of our culture (what does that even mean?) and without that we have disorder and chaos. Sure, one salary per household is a reality for the rich, but not for everyone. So if a woman thinks of working she's contributing to the chaos, the disorder? And if she gets an education and gets a better paying job she's contributing even more to the disorder, the chaos? WTF
I remember watching an interview with Barbara Walter's when she retired. She was asked if she had any regrets in life. Barbara said she regretted not having more children! This from a woman that seemed to have it "all".
There's no crime. He was asked to give a speech. He gave a speech. It was a different perspective than is normally force-fed women for the last 30 years. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a family, and children... it's the most rewarding thing a well meaning human being could ever do.
"EVIL" can be defined as anything that separates or destroys families. We're all children of the same God and part of the same family. The very first commandment from on high was to "multiply and replenish the earth".
@kylebalmer3396, Here "replenish" refers to the never-ending work of populating Earth with (moral) children of God, exercising integrity. Think: "Noah & the Ark".
When I was younger, just out of college, married and expecting my first child. I told my husband that my career was important to me and that I would be getting child care so I could continue with my career. Once I had this child in my arms, I knew how important I was in his survival and life. I put my career on hold and persuade the most important, powerful job of my life. To raise, protect and love a new human being. No regrets, my career was still there when I decided to return to it. Working all your life and not experiencing life is sad. Love, Family, Children, Life is POWERFUL.

People who ignored hitler and Stalin were pretty surprised when they took power and turned their countries to sht. You’re supposed to listen to every side of an argument or a dictatorship can take over the nation because they act as if they are the truth and if they convince enough people it leads to a subjugated class that doesn’t agree with the state but has no choice. This applies to any kind of political affiliation because if you want to argue why the other side is wrong you need to know why they are wrong by knowing their position on the subject. This is how America formed the most successful economy and democracy and globalized the world. In other words don’t get caught with your pants down mindset. Not listening is really the first step into ignorance. Being offended by someone’s opinions is a problem on an individual level since they are acting like a child anyways. Both US parties are notorious for what you’re talking about. It’s why congress is basically useless elderly toddlers at this point.

If he does he'll never admit it publicly. Or he may just vote the down-ticket, that is ignore both presidential candidates and vote for everyone else on the ballot this year for other offices.
Years ago I worked for a company that had a lot of grads from Harvard, MIT, and the like, and I quickly noticed that it took about two seconds for any Harvard grad to let you know where they went to school. Instead of starting a story with, "when I was in college", or "when I was in school", it invariably began with "when I was at Harvard". In all fairness, they weren't all assholes, but it was striking how important it was to them to point out this fact.
I was so very fortunate to be able to stay home with my children...but because of the feminist-Marxist message everywhere, I truly didn't appreciate that blessing until years later. Now I see my daughter working full time, exhausted, with a beautiful son going to daycare (she lives out of state). It's no where near as good as staying home with mom!!! WE ALL KNOW THAT!!!!! The REAL women's movement we need is getting mothers BACK INTO THE HOUSE WITH THEIR CHILDREN, if they so choose. Kudos to Harrison Butker and Bill Maher on this.

She said” I have had three children, raised them throughout their lives, paid for their university fees and seen them to go and get married and have children of their own, my question to the female Chief Constable is” Would you consider me a successful police woman”
As you can imagine the question was met by a stunned silence.
The things that she mentioned are related to her being a mother not to her being a police woman.
If she wants to ask if she is a successful police woman then she should mention her achievements as a police woman and then ask if those achievements make her a successful police woman.

Women created much of the one income not being enough issue
Feminism was supposed to give me the choice to enter the workplace, not force me too.
Feminism failed me.
Unfortunatly the economy is getting worse.
If you didn't spend money on Childcare you would be fine.
The only thing I would add to his speech is that many men feel the same way and they've been shamed into believing that if you don't work 80 hour weeks you can't be successful. And she’s a liberal (I vote Republican).
Freedom of choice ... unless your choice is to be a stay at home mom.
Yes, you're free to do whatever you want - as long as I agree with it.
it’s not what he said. It’s HOW he said it (“diabolical lies”). He devalued education and career achievements for women as a waste of life (while his mother achieved in science AND family - she wasn’t a SAHW)
@@KlaudiaShaefferr Maybe she took a few years off...? From work to take care of family? He said nothing negative about his Mom.
Freedom of choice . . . unless your choice is not to have your uterus to be a fascist-controlled incubator.
My mother was a great secretary before she met my dad. Then she was a stay at home mom with us while we were young. Later she went back to being a secretary.
Harrison Butker is the man!
I read an article in the L.A. times many years ago that was written by a female. In it she opined "Women who lust for marriage and babies lack imagination." Never heard or read any backlash about it.
I’m glad he said it, it’s time to end cancel culture
Push back time for these Commie Loony Tunes, they have had their day! I not shutting up anymore! I see a Palestinian rally; I shout out Shalom and Praise God and Israel! Hamas is evil.... Woke is Dead!!! Everyone must push back; the majority have had enough of all this shite!
So u want to cancel someone huh how ironic
Yeah, if people keep speaking up.
May I add, that the right wing is always crowing about how Bill Maher has joined them. Bill Maher is the same as he's been for 20 years. The fact that you keep referencing him means you're moving towards him rather than vice versa. Thank you
You guys tried to cancel Bud Light over a rainbow
He's not saying, you have to be a mother, they are so insecure that noone can suggest that traditional role have advantages that corporate life doesn't.
The irony is that so many of the people that were offended are really advocating for LESS CHOICE 🤦♂️. They genuinely believe that even the SUGGESTION that a woman might choose marriage/motherhood over a career should be “cancelled”.
suggestion that their life starts only when they got married

Shame on him for practicing his right to freedom of speech. Doesn't he know that's banned in the usa.
Not any more. Hopefully.
i love you "freedom of speech" people, cos it's freedom of expression, not speech, just a quick reminder that the first amendment conflicts with the first commandment
"thou shalt worship whoever you want"
and that the declaration of human rights gives ME more rights than god.
and a history lesson cos the USA is a secular nation, not many people seem to know that,
and the founding fathers were at best deists and certainly not christian. hitchens became
a naturalised american purely because of the constitution. the UK is officially christian,
the US is officially secular.
is it annoying that the satanic temple has the SAME RIGHTS as the church?
He was practicing his freedom of speech. Ok, let's say you could not talk about the devil in your satanic masses. Let's say nobody had that right or they would go to jail. You'd be pissed. The guy did nothing wrong . He was at a mass what did you expect him to talk about? Kiddie porn? He honestly said from his heart what he honestly felt about women and abortion. You can disagree with him but don't silence him. This isn't china.
If the speech is not progressive, anti-family, anti-children, anti-God, the rotten media propagates it as bad.
I was surprised to hear Bill Maher’s opinion on this speech , I’m refreshed .
So did you drink his opinion after a hot walk through the desert?
He's also at Benedictine College which is a highly conservative and devout Catholic University. The joke among Catholic college students is that most girls are just there to get their "Mrs" degree. That's a traditional Catholic culture thing... He's speaking to an audience with the appropriate tone and with the appropriate cultural context that they would understand and that they would all agree upon.
Butker understood his audience much better than his critics understood his audience. Conservative Catholic women aren't the ones complaining about him telling female graduates of a conservative Catholic college that many are looking forward to marriage and motherhood more than a career. That would be liberals and progressives, many of whom are women with no intentions of ever filling either role.
The nuns on campus criticized him mightily. I kid you not. Said they stood for inclusivity. We are living in Bizarro World.
@@HappyCats17 Yeah, I saw that. The nuns do not qualify as conservative Catholic women, however.
Yes the conservative catholic women have been conditioned.

Dude spoke fundamental and traditional Catholic values at a Catholic commencement, go figure.
Actually - he spoke fundamental and traditional most world values regardless of country or religion. It's just this so-called modern/progressive mindset and 3rd wave feminism that derails the minds of women - most of whom regret making the horrible choice of foregoing a loving family in exchange for a career (as if the two are mutually exclusive).
Yup, misogynistic, Leave it to Beaver idiocy, and some people found it pretty nauseating. Go figure.
@@highroller-jq3ix Oh what a virtue signaler you are. NOTHING Butker said was misogynistic. That reprehensible attitude comes from the Left. You can't identify anything he said that is what you claim. Some might find the idiocy in your comment.
Understand that most MEN would also rather spend time with the family than be wage slaves.
I think his speech was needed in this world today, it seems that the elite want us to forget about families and children. Focus on transgender and pronouns...😢
Yeah and then they label and attack anyone that disagrees with them... LIKE A CULT
I have come to the conclusion, that in life NO MATTER what stance you take on any subject, you will offend someone. I, to me seems many of these young people get up every morning and go out LOOKING to be OFFENDED by someone's actions or words. These are the same people that, if they were told they won a MILLION DOLLARS they would complain thet they had to pay tax on it.
If I didn't know better, it seems as though Bill Maher is slowly being red pilled.
He stays the same while the rest keep moving further left, soon they will call him right winger.
It's how it has to happen, a little bit at a time.
Even a blind squirrel…
Until he votes for Trump I'm unpersuaded.
Media has falsely reframed the Overton Window so far to the left that even some pretty far-left people look centrist or even right wing.
I agree with his speech...i stopped working when i got married, had 3 beautiful babies and after they were raised i found a job...of course we didnt live in a brand new house and didnt have all the new gadgets but i loved being a wife and mother.. but i respect people that want it the other way too....to each their own...
They sold out the jerseys that said "Harrison Butker" in women's sizes. That should tell you lots of women agreed with Butker. Most people on their deathbed are thinking about family and their children, not about "I wish I spent more time on my career."
His Speach was spot on, some just can't handle the truth. They say sometime's the truth hurts, so just deal with it.
This is why progressives and liberals are two different things, and while actual liberals can also be frustrating at times (especially by how easily they get influenced by progressives), they're still supposed to be all for a free exchange of ideas, and tolerance of different lifestyles, unlike progressives.
Unfortunately there are no liberals. Maybe they think they are but when they vote democrat, they’re voting for a progressive woke ideology, essentially making them woke progressives.
I have said the same thing only I term them as Leftists vs Liberals. Quite different. But you're right, Progressives are Leftists. (And not very progressive at all as it turns out.)
Progressives/liberals are the same thing: CULTURAL MARXISM!!!
Meanwhile Travis Kelce is shotgunning beers and getting praised! We are a silly species in a silly society.
For some reason there are people rooting for the moral breakdown of society 🤷♂️
And perhaps other Godless pursuits?
Yah, he should have told women to stay barefoot and pregnant, like a real hero!
My sister who is more of a conservative than I am doesn’t like what the guy said so idek what each side believes anymore
And most people don’t have careers, they have jobs! They do the work…it’s not intrinsically meaningful but necessary and there is honesty in that!
Partly because careers don't really exist anymore outside a handful of fields.
As a dad, nothing I've ever done in my career even comes close at all compared with being a dad. Period!
Many men also feel that fatherhood and their children is the most important thing they'll do.
Well said you man. You are credit to yourself. You are a credit to the whole community off human kind.
Ask any woman “offended” by this if they care more about their kids and husband or their job and watch them shut their mouth real quick. Women hate hearing the truth from a man.
When B.M. and I agree, well, as Dennis Miller used to say..."The monkey is riding the horse" (planet of the apes reference). The world is upside down.
It's like while I'm dancing for the first time in years at a party and my father calls me and says, "Remember, studies are important too. Your exams are near."
Just because you're telling the Truth doesn't mean it's the time and the place to say it.
"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints" Ie: Looney cult, not a "religion".
@@meyerhave if you could accomplish a tenth of what that looney cult has - well lets be honest, thats clearly not going to happen.
Having listened to him and his speech, he congratulated the young women and told them they’d be well on their way to a a career. OR, they could perhaps choose something different. I was lead to believe freedom of choice was a good thing.
He also spoke to the men about being good fathers. He basically said put family first.
He basically said "you all just spent 4+ years of your lives to work your asses off to get a degree so you can start your career. I'm here to tell you why none of that is important because the only thing that really matters is getting married and making babies. Fuck your degree and accomplishments, you should all just be moms".
Being a father it's a beautiful thing to see my wife and kids together just hanging on the couch having a laugh. Priceless!!
Two types of people don't complain about this speech:
People who are stay at home moms or dads
Women work are stuck being a 40hr a week waitress or Walmart worker or stuck doing telemarketing 40hrs a wk...ask THEM if they'd rather be stay at home moms
I applaud Harrison, I remember my husband taking me to an interview, I cried on the way, i did not want to leave my children
WTF
A very Catholic man had a very Catholic take while speaking at a very Catholic university? Damn that's crazy
“ Ladies have had the most Diabolical lies told to them…” YES! YES! YES!

No, he is not. And don’t ever fall for it.
Crime? Problem? Give the man a medal for speaking his heart and not selling out for some bullshit.
Shows how sick our culture has become in such a short time that defending raising our own children is controversial. 🤪

Who gives more to the world, a female pediatrician who makes the lives of hundreds or even thousands of children better, or the devoted incubator?
@@highroller-jq3ix Well if the “devoted incubator” stopped having children, what’s the point of being a pediatrician, female or male?

If you are offended by something then...DON'T LISTEN TO IT.
How do you know it's going to offend you if you don't listen to it?
Kind of stupid, right? It's usually hard to know whether you're offended UNTIL you listen. That's okay, critical thinking isn't for everyone.
Because we decided to live a frugal life for the past 50 years together, my wife was able to be a full-time mom to the four children we were blessed to have.
Looking back, it was one of the best choices we ever made.
I don't wanna jump to any conclusions but I would bet that at this rate, Bill might actually vote Republican in November.
And if he doesn't, it's still a refresher to see that he's overall on the right path.
If he does he'll never admit it publicly. Or he may just vote the down-ticket, that is ignore both presidential candidates and vote for everyone else on the ballot this year for other offices.
He seems too lazy to bother voting at all.
The full speech also had a section about the young men. Great speech.
