I wonder how heavy it would be if the head is a solid chunk of metal
My anvil weighs 150kg and is roughly the same size, so I would guess something around 150-200kg 😄
If we assume it's a rectangular cuboid sized 58 cm by 23 cm by 23 cm and we use an average steel density value of 7.9 g/cm^3 (from WolframAlpha) we get
58 cm * 23 cm * 23 cm * 7.9g/cm^3 = 241.1kg.
That would be something to ask the Hacksmiths, since they have ample experience with making solid Mjolnirs
I see the actual calculations have been done but I happen to know off the top of my head that a cubic foot of steel weighs a bit under 500 lbs, or about 225 kg, a fact which has proven surprisingly useful at times.
(My American is showing, isn't it?)
@@NjordArtisan easy peasy for a space marine!
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏽👍🏻👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
sehr geil geworden der hammer , aber die schweissnähte könnten besser sein =)
9:50 Honestly, ritualistically wiping blood over your weapons isn't too far off what happens in the lore
Incredibly based tbh
I liked when he said “it’s hammer time” and hammered all over the place.
😂
I'm kinda surprised you didn't get an actual sponsor deal for the space marines 2 game, that hammer is awesome (if a tad short lol).
I reached out but it seems they had their hands full with how much hype the game generated
That'd be pretty cool standing in the corner of one's living room. Fantastic work, man!
Thanks!
Especially if you wanna deter intruders lol!
Home defense. You could also build one for display, mount it to the floor and conceal a safe in the head.
GET OFF MY SHIP, SPACE MARINE!!!
He was dearly missed in SM2 😄
*“ I ain’t so easy to kill hehehe…”*
“I AIN’T FINISHED WITH YOU, SPACE MARINE!”
WAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHGGGGGGGG
"I don't brake for the Emperor" made me chuckle 😀 seriously impressive build, good job! Love those little editing magic tricks you put in to skip fabrication steps.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
Since it would fit you and im a big ad mech fan
Omnisiah axe? its doesnt have moving parts, its just a huge cog themed axe (saying just as if they werent also pretty huge already!)
I’ll put it on the list 👍🏻
I'd ask you to try making a chainsword, but that's probably going to be a kind of dangerous thing to own, and completely unwieldable.
Man at arms did one ages ago and ye, compeltely unusable
if you make a commissar scale one it would be less dangerous, and with the short chain trimmers they have now it is not to difficult to get the electronics, but from personal experience they suck for sword activities
@@gingainfinity1034 Did Man-At-Arms make it with the proper shark-tooth blade instead of a wood-chipping blade on the chain? That's something that always bugs me about people making 'real life' chainswords- they use chainsAW blades, when the chainsWORD blades have a different tooth pattern to them- and it would cause very different cut profiles.
PLEASE MAKE A CHAINSWORD
My good man that just reeks of badassery! The part with the LED lights was bothering me, so I can only imagine how you felt 🤯 Well done as always!!
Thank you once again 🙌
Yeah I was cursing quite a lot but I think it adds a nice touch to it
@@NjordArtisan Mos Def! Thats what makes your builds so good, because you stick to the OG of what your making, where other people would have just given up and skipped important details!
Wait. That transition at the beginning with the rod was insanely flawless! 😮
Your editing has improved, and the transitions were seamless
Full scale power armor next? 😁
I wish 😄
only 39,999 more warhammers until you can become the Warhammer 40,000!
😄
Such a great build - Games Workshop should sponsor it retroactively!
Thanks! And yes please 😄
@@NjordArtisan Just bill them, they have so much money that they won't notice... 😁
finally, the forty thousandth Warhammer
Amazing work brother! You have made it for the ultramarines but you would fit right in with forges of Vulcan and salamanders!
Salamanders 🔥🔥
I actually thought about making it green but I figured ultramarines would be better for the video 😄
"Cooldown I guess" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That might also explain the delay in video release, YT cooldown :D
I’ll put some points into cooldown reduction now 😄
Thanks for watching! Aftershow is coming tomorrow, forgot to make a post about it on patreon 😅
Holy shit I'm too early. This is gonna be legendary.
Imagine my surprise when I saw we were both patreons for Krakduck, totally saw this build coming LMAO
His videos are great 🙌
Watched a lot of them in anticipation for SM2 😄
And thanks a lot!!
I train with a 20lb metal staff, a 40lb hammer must be tricky to balance, I suppose
Amazing work, now I wanna make this too !😆
Why not put LEAD in the pommel ???
Much more dense than brass !
Great vid. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more views.
Thanks!
Now make the rest 39k warhammers.
You being so disappointed about cutting your finger made me laugh 😂
😂 If you want a brick to become easy to smash. Soak it in vinegar.
he really did it, he built the Warhammer 40,000
Came out awesome. Ive been wanting to make more anime inspired builds myself but they sure are time consuming.
Definitely 😄
glory to the emperor!!!
Give him 5 more year and he will make the real thunderhammer
Haven’t been watching much UA-cam lately but the god never disappoints. I’m glad for your content :)
Thanks a lot!! 🙌
Love it mate. Top job fella
Thanks!
YOOO NEW VIDEO
Yeah, I don't like Spezi as well xD
Awesome build, great and fun editing!
Thanks!
But Spezi is the best 🔥🔥
I visited Germany earlier this year (Munich), and was introduced to Spezi as "this is our 2nd national beverage after beer, though it's just a mix of Cola and Fanta". I did like it a lot and have since went to multiple fast food restaurants and poured myself a mix of the two, often to a look of confusion and mild disgust from my friends, usually replaced by fascinated not-bad after they tried it.
@@P3x310 yeah it really is the best of both
Now make the other 39,000
As a warhammer enjoyer and pure str elden ring player this makes me very happy
Strength build, best build 🗿
Okay, this is really, really clever. I love that you're being so much more CREATIVE with your projects than a lot of YT makers. You're not just reproducing the look of it, or trying to make a 'heavy' hammer, you're attempting to make something that ACTS like the 'real' thing. And the idea of using wooden clappers as the sound base is inspired.
Between the sheer size, and the powerfield generator that are inside those babies, there is a reason why the were originally only used by Terminators (Dawn of War having Gabriel Angelos using "Godsplitter", despite being in regular Space Marine armor is the first time it happened)
You claim it's fully functional, but where's the energy field that disrupts the molecular bonds of matter when it hits things?
Gotta leave some room for improvements 😄
@@NjordArtisan I expect a hammer capable of mini nuclear explosions every time you hit something for the next version!
The Master of the Forge!
Imagine a pure "Infill" like sand or beads to make it a *Deadblow* hammer.... Ooooooooffffffffff
Nice callback to Michealcthulhu with the palette smash :P
*so when are you gonna make a chain sword? Pretty please?*
Just need to set it on fire first for a perfect homage
Those are surprisingly difficult to break 😅
I guess a chainsword that actually works like in the game would be a sight to behold. But I kinda fear for my fingers 😂
16:52 I believe the appropriate exclamation is "Throne on Terra!"
You got the math wrong in the beginning a space marine is three feet bigger than a normal human so your proportions are off from the beginning.
I'm a very simple man. I see a giant hammer and I get unreasonably excited. Any plans on making a hammer from the Monster Hunter franchise?
Also, where my Hammer mains at??
Funny how that big thing can’t even break a brick at 40lbs. I can destroy a brick with one swing and a real 10lb sledge.
The warhammer is extra special because the field around it makes it cut like a sword for its entire surface area. Imagine a hammer that could slide through metal like a knife through paper.
Perfect foe dealing with Hszbin Hotel fans that you spot on your propert through your doorbell camera.
Awesome build and the two pieces wood slapping each other to make the thunder sound is an amazing idea.
When you realize the Thunder Hammer is a reskinned Gravity Hammer from Halo but less ugly.
1:12 It's a weapon from Warhammer 40K. If it seems excessive, that means you are doing it right.
3:30 God dammit, that cut was glorious!
I want it!
LET’S GO!!!!! THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!!!
This weighs 2 lbs heavier than 3 of my sledgehammers..... I want one
Start with Chaos black, then retributor armor and finish with an Agrax earth shade for gold 😉😁
awesome bro and christening the hammer with blood was the most metal thing you could do
Great video, as usual. Really enjoy your editing style and the trials and tribulations as you progress through the project.
Thanks!
Have you tried chanting to the machine spirit and what incense did you use for your incantations?
I was hoping that he would put molten metal in the frame to provide the weight of the hammer's head
but it looks nice
Aaaaah there is is! Avoided the heresy. For the emperor
(Even tho the boyz rule moah)
4 Monate warte hat sich gelohnt
🙌
Beautiful work ❤
Thanks!
you should make the buster sword (basic greatsword) from monster hunter world
The machine spirit of the warhammer is pleased.
The Omisaiah was really testing him with those LEDs
Now he never have to worry about bugs problem ever again
I now love the term "Space Roids"
Next one needs to be 40kg for obvious reason
The reason it couldn't break the brick is because bricks are very good at dealing with compressive stress, if you were to suspend the middle of the brick however it would experience tensile stress at the bottom of the brick and would break much easier. This is the same reason that when a human breaks a brick, it's always done with only the two ends of the brick being supported and never the middle.
Makes sense, thanks!
Most warhammer fans paint minis, this man paints macros
Nice, seeing a vid again. Insanely cool project. I am trying to get into the Warhammer 40k lore atm.
Sorry to say tho: your voice overlay looks great but it has some weird audio to it at least at the start.
Thanks! I can recommend KrakDuk. He makes cool videos about w40k lore
Yeah I also thought the beginning greenscreen parts sounded a bit muddy 🤔
Dunno what happend there
Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows.
What in a hell is that 40 lbs? What it is in Kilos?)
The title is pretty much clickbait, but the video itself is entertaining and the craftsmanship is cool as usual
Also, cute cats always add value to the project
Thanks! I’ll also give the compliments to the cats 😄
But how is the title clickbait? The whole thing is out if metal 🤔
HEY!!! Make it a dead blow hammer with a bunch of steel balls, always noisy and added force to a blow! Edit… make the dead blow part have wooden ends and slide in the inside and make the wood slap louder (after making it 8 minutes into the video this is what I got, adjust to liking if you do this)
That would’ve been a good idea!
Glory to the Omnissiah
If the design belongs to GW and you can't sell it, then why can you sell the coins bearing the designs belonging to GW?
Good point 😄
But I figured one was me trying to build their design and the other is artwork that I drew and put it on something they didn’t come up with to make it transformative 🤔
"Cool-down i guess" me playing assualt in space marine 2.
Amazing vid and a simply jaw dropping end result! Great job man i hope your enjoying the game just as much as i am!
Thank you!!
I wish the PvE Assault would work like in the campaign or PvP. That cooldown feels like an eternity 😄
Yeah fr when I played the campaign I was super excited to try the jump pack in operations and then I played it and I was like "oh... Well that kinda sucks" but then I kept trying after I tried out the other classes and now it's my favourite! I really hope it gets buffed in the future
@@ArnovonDargen I’m also hoping the skill tree will make the jump pack more useable but I’m seriously considering to change to bulwark 😄
@@NjordArtisan yeah fair enough considering you only really start to get synergy at level 25 😢 but the patch has buffed him somewhat by making the jumpack more responsive and the ground pound does more damage but I would still like faster cooldown or a third charge
Any way I can buy this from you ?
15:19 i dub thee SIR GOLDEN CROTCH OF THE ULTRAMARINES CHAPTER
Now that’s a proper name 🔥🔥
Now we need 39,999 more of them and the big E will get out of his epic gamer chair.
I better get to it then 🗿
Brother this looks so cool
Remember kids. If you want to do this at home all you need is a broom stick, and a car battery.
It could’ve been so much easier😂
not much of a warhammer guy but i can totally see a paladin weilding that
that looks epic!
Thanks!
I am even taller than the hammer
Absolutely beautiful metal work! Art in its own rights. Great talent!🤌
Thank you very much!
what a masterpiece
Your application to the artisan-forges of mars has been accepted. Your complementary data-maniple and tethered servo skull (some self-assembly and self-surgery required) are in the mail and should arrive within five to ten working centuries. Praise the Omnissiah!
🙌
Gotta practice my binary now 😄
Hail the machine god
Damn you chose the hard way to do the electronics! Since I know nothing about modern coding (I did BASIC 35 years ago!) I use EL-Wire and EL-Panels with the provided or upgraded drivers which control all the effects, just 2 AA batteries needed! You can run them off the mains voltage with an adaptor or add larger battery packs, the wires come in all types, super thin, thick, bend and hold their shape or not, loads of colours and splitters for routing multiple wires/colours. The panels can be cut into any shape you want provided you leave the small connector section intact. Great build!
Thank you!
It actually wasn’t too bad once I’ve got some footing but the beginning was just overwhelming 😄
But I’m glad I did it this way, as I think it’ll come in handy for future projects for the endless possibilities that can be programmed
@@NjordArtisan That's true, lots of custom options but way too much of a headache for me lol! I'm 'old school' and try to keep computers out of any builds I do, motorcycles, airsoft guns, 1/6 scratch built figures etc..
@@shovelchop81bikeralex52 yeah same. I usually try to find mechanical solutions to everything I build but I think I’ll make an exception for LEDs 😄
