90 degrees is hardly coat weather Adam- but hopefully it saves you from health problems later in life. I’ve heard stories of painters who thought those instructions were for “other painters.” Grateful that you always wisely remind those who might be following in your footsteps to WEAR YOUR PPE’s!!!
Exactly !!! Thanks for watching
Use an extra slow reducer. And you'll be fine.
Thanks for sharing the love Adam!!
Another great video 👍🤘
Thanks for your support 👊
How soon after applying your black base coat are you applying metal flake? Also after adding your clear coat how much time are you waiting before sanding and applying graphics? Thanks!
Hey man, you said you used a 1.3 tip, but the package says 1.4 or bigger. I have a 1.3, will it work?
first time priming, painting, flaking, and doing vicla/cholo/lowrider style graphics on my Heritage bagger....how do you keep the flake uniform? I'm using a different brand of flake .015 and a clearcoat with reducer ant hardener. So far so good up to the flake, mine ran, probably due to my impatience and not waiting to put on next coats...Any advice you can give will help. Watching your vids inspired me to do it myself
Awesome
Adam, I was wondering if the base coat has to be black? I’m gonna spray a bike with new factory paint, and I was wondering if I can just sand down the clear coat and lay down metal flake right on top ?
Yes you can. I’m guessing it’s black already?
Does the base coat color matter? Would Silver be a good choice also? Or is black prefered due to being able to see the flake coverage?
You can use silver basecoat Black basecoat will give the metalflake a little more bling
Used clear basecoat and added my flake but a feel going the clearcoat and flake is way better
Yes for sure!! Clear base does not stay wet long enough to smooth out the texture.
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint Thanks dude will go back to using clearcoat
Is it better to spray a base cooler coat (blue) then a clear coat with metal flakes or mix the color pigment with the metal flakes?
No, you would go with black basecoat silver Flake, and then the blue would be applied over the top
Thank you
You’re welcome thanks for watching
Clearest primer I've ever seen.
I was just making sure y’all were paying attention lol.
What grit sand paper did you use
600 grit
How much coverage do you get from 1 packet of flake? Or how many packets for a bagger with no fairing?
I would say 2 packs to be safe.
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint Thank you
👍
Thanks for watching
Is this a .008 flake?
.004 and .008
Ozzle size??
1.4MM
Thnx 0:24
Primer? Looks like clear 😝
First coat of anything is a primer. Depends on how much it is reduced.
@@michaelyarmie4858 I never claimed to be bright lol
Not sure what the hell I was thinking 🤔
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint pshhh amateur! UNSUB!
