I’ve had the rokit 6 G2, VXT 8, V6 G4 & Yamaha HS8 and I’ve got to say, the Rokit 10-3 G4 is by far the best out of all of them. Very flat, super clear with the mids and highs. And cause it’s a 3 way speaker system, it sounds a lot more 3D (wide) compared to the others. And the low end is balanced, not muddy, but still powerful and accurate. I’m able to hear things in my mixes that I’ve never EVER been able to hear before on other monitors. And with the DSP function, you can tune the Rokit 10-3 G4 to any room. Highly recommend these. By far my favourite monitors that I’ve ever heard and owned. And I’ve herd A LOT!
Bruh you've literally copy pasted this same comment on every video about Rokits. If anything I'm less inclined to buy them if they need to run some kind of bot PR campaign 🙄
Mitch Gallagher is a effin beast!! Probably my fav. Video. I love sweetwater and my rep Mr. Campos is amazing at his job. These two are the epitome of professional and personable customer service.
After weeks & long hours of doing research on various budget studio monitors, the Rokit 7 G4's were the clear choice for me,in terms of size, sonic specifications, optional protective grilles for the drivers and of course, the best feature set possible for a very reasonable price! I've looked at Focal Alpha Evo's,RCF Ayra Pro's,Adam Audio T7V's just to name a few,and none of them could match the specs and positive reviews of KRK's G4 series! Can't wait to try them out in a few days!
I believe with the NEW ROKIT KRK 10-3 G4 the Tweeter & Mid can be turned now without unscrewing any screws.. I think he missed out on telling us about that. From what I heard when they were released this was a huge issue for people. The G3 version you have to unscrew all the screws to get it to turn and even then you have to be so extremely careful or you can end up damaging the unit. If I am wrong about this new option someone please correct me.
Old Man hendo well I’m a bedroom producer so I also like to DJ in the same place. I found the HS7s where way too flat on the low frequencies whilst DJing sometimes I even felt the kick and bass off tracks sounded really muddy. My KRKs came and I’m more than happy with them. I tested both monitors on a particular track with heavy bass and the krks sounded so much better and cleaner.
I totally agree with you. I returned hs5 today and now waiting for krk 7. I was very disappointed with hs5, the bass was so low I sometimes thought they don't have it. Hs are great monitors but not for home DJing. Are you happy with krk? Which model did you get?
Yo Mitch did you communicate the bi-amp features correctly? checking the specks on the KRK site I see Rokit 5, 7 & 8 (Bi-amp) and 10 (Tri-amp). It sounds as you are saying the 8 only is Bi-amped...
You are correct, all of the smaller Rokit G4 monitors are bi-amped, with the 10 tri-amped. The way I presented it in the video makes it appear that only the Rokit 8 G4 is bi-amped. Sorry for the confusion!
Have they corrected the annoying capacitor swelling /buzz issue that results in having to go in and solder new capacitors on the boards to fix? I've had Rokit 5's, 6's both with this problem... ;(
I'm looking for my first pair of monitors and I can't decide between the KRK 5 G4s and the 7 G4. The room is around 11m2 (118ft2) with a 3m ceiling height. I mainly make rap/trap/rnb and similar stuff so I want the speakers to really smack, and idk if the 5 can do it. Some people told me that the 7 is too much for 11m2, but I see mixed opinions online. I'm new to this so I could really use some help. Thanks.
No actually KRK are good "on the move" studio monitors since they are front ported and have an app that allows to tune your speakers to your setting. From a technical standpoint- Adam Audio T5V/T7V Monitors are flatter than KRKs...shame they are rear ported and have to be perfectly setup to use properly.
the faceplate makes the monitor sound hollow. They contained the bass more with the new box it doesnt sound like a true subwoofer, ALL of the generations of the rokits have been with silk dome like 90 percent. i didnt want a v series i wanted a rokit
its to adjust for differnt acoustics in different types of rooms, some people will have a wood house with bookshelfs and alot of curtains - a very dampended room that absorbs sound waves, others will have concrete walls and hard wood floors which reflect the sound and creates ecos and soundwaves that cancel out eachother
why everybody says these are bad ???....... they favor cheaper monitors lik jbl 305/308 or kal lp6/in......(???) I am not professional....I would buy them for listening to music...... does anybody have the freqv-resp for the 10s plz ???...... (and may be an equalized flat setup.....thx......)

I'm aware these are primarily for home studio work.. but does this also work well as just a bluetooth speaker to play music from your phone? I dont know a lot about different speaker types.
VERY INACCURATE FREQUENCY RESPONSE: The 7s and 8s are kind of a mess down in the bass. They have a bump at around 80hz, a pretty serious dip at 120hz and another bump around 215hz. These monitors seem to generally hype the low end. You do not want that no matter which genre you work in. I’m gonna take a second here to explain something for anyone who doesn’t understand this concept. Apologies to anyone who already does, but this is the most important fact about monitors and I wish more people knew this ... If a monitor hypes any frequencies, when you’re mixing with that monitor and attempting to get the best sound, you’re going to pull those hyped frequencies down on an individual track or the mix in general. Inversely, if a monitor is weak on a frequency, you’ll end up pushing that one up on tracks and mixes - so it sounds good on that system. Anytime we track or mix on monitors with issues we all unknowingly do this. And when you finish, the mix sounds good - (on those monitors). But then - as soon as you take that mix to any other pair of speakers - it won’t sound the same. Because you’ve unknowingly compensated for the monitors issues with your mixing choices. And that’s why you here about people running around checking mixes on other systems then adjusting, checking, adjusting again. And basically wasting a lot of time, feeling like you just aren’t “getting it.” To be fair and positive here: You could buy monitors like these and make them work. But it’s gonna take a lot of time to learn them and get comfortable with their effect on the audio. You have to listen to a ton of music you’re already familiar with on them and learn what they do to the audio. But it can be done. However, if you can save a bit longer and buy better monitors, that extra money spent saves you hours upon hours.
Hi, now im a bit confused because i was ready to buy the rokit 7 g4 ,because lot of people told me they have a very flat response and also Rich Renken from KRK who designed them told in reviews and posts on youtube and internet that they are not hyped...
