woohoo! Glad you enjoyed that, Shaun! It was so hot that morning, we really hoped the swimming spot would have enough water and it did! Join us with the wild, more ventures to come! Help us find more like YOU. Share our channel, help us grow. Thanks Shaun!!! Margie & Ricky xoxo
Thank you! Yes, Ricky’s got hand and eye coordination worked out well to cast that net whereas the fish are a hundred metres down the beach by the time i get to cast 😂. Sampson inlet was a beautiful place indeed to relax and unwind, even the mangrove jacks thought so too, coming up to us, curious and unafraid. Thank you so much for watching! We appreciate you reaching out, please share the love and share our videos too to those like YOU. Much appreciated, Margie snd Ricky

Another great video, this time Margie cooking a nice dish. Took the recipe and will give it a try. Thanks again for sharing your amazing adventures Ricky and Margie.
YAY!!!!!! tell us how your cooking turns out please! Thank you so much for the support and for appreciating our ventures into the wild! Ricky and I enjoyed the mullet (baitfish) but we had the extra fish as back up for our dinner! hehehe. Thank YOU!!! We appreciate YOU.
I have to say -- Ricky was so patient filleting the mullet. I probably would've dredged and fried it whole LOL (but i'm kinda lazy too). The trek to Raft Point was also interesting and educational. And quite honestly, in my humble opinion, I agree also to the fact that the art probably should've been kept the way they were instead of repainting them. I respect what they are trying to do to preserve them but most of the authenticity are lost in the process. I guess that is up to the power that be to further debate and decide on. PS. Marge and I are the same when it comes to frying -- i need a big shield or something to guard me from the hot splatter LOL!!! Love the episode, guys. Can't wait for the next one! :)
We are so pleased you liked this episode, Gen!!! I am tickled pink! Ricky is indeed one of the most patient people I know, lucky me! Haha. Scaling and then filleting the mullets were incredibly time-consuming but super yummy! I found some before and after photos of other art works. I will share them with you. It’s incredible with what it looked like in the early 1900s when the first explorers were able to take a photo of it and how it looks like now. They stopped the program altogether now but there is still a debate: live or let die..? a la James Bond 🤣 I shouldn’t have been cooking without a long sleeve shirt on! 😂 I don’t like frying anything. The spatters find their way to me. I do love eating though, hehehe. did you like my natural mud mask? I cannot believe I had it on the whole night and only washed it off several hours after I put it on! 🤣 Thank you for your support, Gen!! We will have to feature you when you are in Australia to join us or when we are rich and famous or both! Hehehe 😝
@@Hookedonwildventures Hey Marge, yes, i forgot to comment about the mud mask. Is that your secret in forever staying young? :) AND i forgot to comment -- the nano second that you looked at Ricky/the camera while chopping veggies (not sure what you were chopping) got me all nervous!! I "fussed" at you from my laptop "Marge, don't slice your fingers!" LOL!!
Hahahha. I first of all think as if like I’m a child always having fun, then whatever it is I do, I think I’ve convinced my brain that it would work,, to keep me young, mud mask or none, hehehe. But seriously now, each time i allow myself to experience moments like a curious child (instead of a super serious adult who wouldn’t dare have any fun), I do truly get to immerse in the experience. My laughter is louder and heartier, my smile more genuine. The constant joking with Ricky also helps, as well as me internally laughing at my kapalpakans (there’s plenty of them, by the way) 😂 Ahhh! The onion chopping!? I make sure I have a big enough knife. The bigger it is, the safer my fingers are, I think. Haha. I curl the fingers on my left hand so that the knife nudges against my knuckles. I also don’t lift the whole knife. I make sure the tip is always planted on the chopping board and then I just lift the bottom part closest to me and with a measured flick of my right wrist, I seem to be able to mince my onions or garlic by ever so slightly lifting the bottom part with an up and down movement. Oh! What about Ricky throwing that castnet? I practiced and practiced and practiced. My hand and eye coordination couldn’t move in time to when the baitfish is in front of me. I could cast the net but alas with the school of fish already miles away 🙄😝 Ricky just does it so elegantly and well-timed too to catch all those mullets! I’m always impressed when someone knows how to use a cast net like that, especially that I cannot do it as well😝
Thanks so much, John! It’s so good to be able to share all this, especially that you appreciate it the way you do 😊. Looking forward to you enjoying the other episodes!
Hahahah! The mullets weee so small but yes, he can certainly show you how to gut and fillet a fish 😊 we haven’t cooked fish paksiw style yet. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ricky is delayed in fetching Marge at the beach. Marge puts mud on her face. Lol. Another nice video. I love the swimming spots and all the cooking and eating. Those 4000-year-old wall paintings are fascinating. I imagine the aborigines asking for rain and the wandjinas wouldn't answer, and so they didn't give them mouths. Hehe. Going on to watch the next video.
We are so pleased you liked this very much! Si much fun cooking and messing around! Haha! We promise it’s not a fish cooking show! Haha! I’m glad you thought my mud pack was fun. Haha! Thanks for letting us know. It was our first and we thought would be our last but yes, mulllet taste so nice! We are going to have it again next time! We catch cherubin to catch barramundi but we started just keeping that to eat too 😂
Yes!!! I will fetch a photo that we took of that area. Unfortunately, we didn't use the GoPros at the time. It's interesting that the remains still "remain" there. I can imagine it would be missing by now and would be sitting in someone's private collection somewhere in Los Angeles! haha
@bobeden5027, actually I'm going over the book, Rock Art of the Kimberley edited by Mike Donaldson and Kevin Kenneally that I referred to and it's hard to tell. I'm not sure where I got 4,000 from but radiocarbon dating appears to show people were in those areas betwen 30,000 to 70,000 years old - that a bit of a range!
@@Hookedonwildventures There is "Tassell" art up in the Kimberleys dated at 80,000 years and I have seen it. explored that region on board STS Leeuwin 2 during the 90's.
