While I was able to tell that the water level was low, the aerial view of it really said it all. I am glad that you guys are good though, and i hope that cut on Ricky's finger was nothing bad. Another thing worthy of note -- if I ever start using spray sunscreen on my face, I will adapt Bob's technique LOL! That was genius!
I am very curious: what is your favorite way to cook barramundi? :)

So glad you enjoy it, Gen!! I’m yet to learn how to fly the drone so Ricky will take all the glory for those aerial clips. We have the biggest first aid kit on board our boat so yes, we were prepared and his cuts healed fairly quickly, thankfully. I have let Bob and Lucy know about their strategy in applying sunscreens. haha!
As for our barramundi, it does not have a very strong taste but the texture is certainly very fine but not too delicate, thankfully. Ricky would either poach the fish in ginger, shallots, soy, sugar and drizzled in sesame oil, served with steamed basmati rice. Our second favourite is cooking some vegetables in yellow curry sauce with coconut milk then poaching the fish last. Basmati rice is our go-to rice nowadays.
For a quick and easy lunch, Ricky would just fry it with butter, salt, pepper and chilli seeds! voila!

@@Hookedonwildventures You definitely got my attention on the yellow curry and coconut milk... That sounds so yummy!
PS... and Marge I apologize that I completely missed these messages. Honestly, I didn't even know they were here until tonight. I am so sorry.

Hahaha!! There’s a new recipe you have try with our latest episode release, great for any fish fillets too! Probably the healthiest version ;) we have no boat on this episode but still manage to have lots of laughter with Ricky wanting me to do all the fish dinner! 😁 we hope you enjoy it!!

That entry into the secret spot is amazing, like taken from a movie!
Also that hammerhead is huge! If there is a juvenile croc surely there is an older croc around😂😂😂.

That is an awesome way to describe it! 😊 yes, the hammerhead was nearly the length of our boat 😳. Yes, more than possible the mom and the dad of the baby croc would be somewhere close 😁 glad you enjoyed it!!!

Yes, I’m definitely not going in THAT water for a swim! If it’s not crocs, it’s hammerhead sharks!!! 😝

@shaunmoller2997 thank you so much for letting us know! haha! There were certainly a lot of laughter in this one and we got to spend it with our good friends Bob, Lucy, Shrek and Faith :) It was an effort to get to the swimming spot but worth all the planning. The barramundi fishing was exciting and extraordinary to find hammerheads joining us with barra fishing too! We loved South Africa when we were there! would love to go back one day!

Nice secret spot. But very challenging to get to. I'd still prefer the fugitives' hideout though.

Haha! Yes, we braved nine metre tides and getting stuck if we got it wrong…seems to be a usual storyline! Haha! The fugitive’s hideout has its draw, I must admit. It’s just in disarray but liveable indeed once upon a time in the past and why not in the future, huh? Watch out for the next release about 4,000 yo artworks that I trekked and climbed to find!! Thanks for watching and for your support, Mok! Much appreciated!!

Hey there Alan, thanks for watching. We hope you enjoyed that episode. It isn’t for the faint hearted, that’s for sure. We missed the tide the first time we did a recon and couldn’t make it as we needed a metre more under the boat. We really had to target 9+ metre tides and as you know, so many things can go wrong but when all of it goes right, it’s like jackpot. We will be in the same area again this year, hopefully. 🤞 we hope you get to watch and enjoy the other episodes we just started sharing.

@@Hookedonwildventures I had a Kevlar cat the same as Bobs but health issues set things back and had to sell my pride and joy so land locked now can only sit back and watch others follow the dream

That Kevlacat would have taken you to some awesome places! Let us know where your favourite go-tos are and we will see if we can take our boat there for adventure or two. Is there anything the same as Xenex camp in terms of freshwater source, do you know? We were stoked with the find there!

So sorry to hear, perhaps we can take the Kimberley ventures to you. We are getting to know the area slowly but surely. Longest was 13 days at sea! We haven’t been to the GBR though, would love to learn that area too. Perhaps you can teach us a thing or two? We hope you enjoy my close encounter with the 🐳
