The app has VERY limited functions. You can’t lock or unlock the car. In fact, all you can do is look at current charge level, change the level of charge, from say 80% to 100% and set the AC to run for cooling or heating. None of the other functions work currently. No way to transfer a route from the navigation to the car. Otherwise, I enjoyed your review and as a Q4 owner, I appreciate the time taken to do this well.
I've seen a lot of videos on the Q4 etron. Yours is the Best video review of the Audi Q4 etron! A must see. A side note on the pedestrian sound in the city, it's also to help blind pedestrians or guide dogs of the blind hear the car coming.
I have a 40 S-Line on order (delayed of course now looking like October). Tried all the MEB cars and the Ionic 5 and settled on the Audi due to cost (cheaper than an Enyaq on my company scheme). Felt very refined on the test drive and has enough room for the family. If I had to use my own money would have gone for the Enyaq but on company money this was the best deal.
Great review! Just a small correction. You stated the doors lacking bottle holders. The doors do have bottle holders but in a new unique way. The bottle holder is located to the front of the doors slightly forward of the grab handle and mirror controls. 25:02 for reference.
Very informative review. So thankful that the editions and trim variants are explained which can get tricky to understand what you ACTUALLY get on the model you are purchasing ( particularly if it’s a used model . )
Great comprehensive review. It's my first choice at the moment for an EV SUV, but still undecided between the 40 or the 50. I will use it mostly in an urban / town scenario, but I would like it to be a bit punchy.
The presenter is far too slick (that’s a compliment, by the way). I am hoping there are some decent outtakes worth sharing, surely? With regard to the review, I am having to wait 13 months (est.) for my Q4 eTron 50 in Aurora Violet, and this has simply reinforced my desire for this, my first EV and my first Audi. Thanks for creating this great review.
The ioniq 5 drives very nice. 2nd enyaq and than ID4 haven’t tested EV6 and Q4 yet. Did sit in the Q4 by far the most beautiful and luxurious interior.
I went to see this car at the weekend, didn’t drive it, but I have to be honest, I wasn’t overly impressed…I went to see a Kia EV6 on the same day and thought it was a much more impressive car.
Great, comprehensive review. But drum brakes on a $60,000 “premium” brand? What was Audi thinking here? As the reviewer states, the front motor is only engaged when needed, making it primarily a rear-drive vehicle. So you wouldn’t want better brakes on the primary drive axle. Even unvented discs would be better. Major miss by Audi here, imho.

Also, today is 20 degrees at 10am. At 80% charge I am showing 190 miles. Not moved the car yet, sometimes it jumps when it moves.

Glad it was helpful!
Excellent review. I’m waiting for my Q4 to be delivered (even if Audi dealer doesn’t know when…) and I learnt things I didn’t know! Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Please do subscribe!
I read it has drum brakes because the regen means they’re rarely used and so rear discs were rusting up

I like the "EEEE" sound my etron makes.. Lol! Nothing else out there that sounds like it!
Great video! thanks a lot
Glad it was helpful!
We are trying to decide between the 55 e-tron and Q4. The older e-tron is bigger, and $20k more. So we want to be sure
The heat pump isn’t worth it tbh I have a q4 sportback the cost of the pump with what you’d get back is nil almost
Have you tested the IONIQ 5 and/or EV6 to see how they compare to the Q4 e-tron?
Yes EV6 video coming soon .... make sure to subscribe so you don't miss it!
