after watching this video I ordered one of these. It took two weeks to arrive from Turkey. I am in the Northwest corner of the USA. The product looks good and I think it will be fine for protection. I am satisfied with it
After watching your video I checked out Motoes. I also found a bash plate although mine is for my 2019 Africa Twin. As you stated not cheap but more reasonable than any of the others I have looked at. Excellent fit and my lower engine guards were able to be left alone. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey Pavlin, i just see some of your older videos with Honda crf1000 and i see how you like this bike.. Why you didnt choose crf1000 instead t7? Maybe back then t7 wasnt release i guess..
looks amazing and one of the most useful accessories in my opinion. One question: will this not collect mud and dirt at the bottom? I see no holes down there....i like it with holes to at least drain water from dirt and mud.
Hi! Your video encouraged me and I bought a unit of this skid plate. I currently have the SW-Motech skid plates, but I want to change them because they are anchored to the engine, and I want some that are anchored to the frame. I have the Euro4 skid plate. What options are there? I see that the design can be a problem here. Thanks
definnately one of the better ones I think. also the prise is competitive. I went with the axp skid plate for myself. not ridden yet but it has similar coverage and includes a bit for the waterpump. it's made from hdpe plastics. Will probably skid better and flex a bit more. and is one of the lighter ones out there
I just installed the AXP yesterday. How did your install go? I found their instructions to be terrible, but once I figured out how to mount it, after much trial and error, it was pretty easy. I agree, this looks like a nice piece for the price.
Yeah it was about the same for me. Also there was quite some tension involved to first get all the screws in. But I am still very happy with my choice. Had a few drops since and protected well . Also the baseplate did take a few hits and no damage to it
Hi pavlin I just got a different question What is your oppinion about engine shut off What is you prefer? Red buttom or key turning off? What is the best way and no make trouble in the engine in long therm Cause i heard allways use ignition keys to kill the engine is the baddes idea they suggest red buttom But a lots of people says they use the keys to off the engine Whats you suggest abour this?
Hey Pavlin. I am thinking of buying that skid plate. Do you know if it is compatible with: - the center stand from Heavy Duties - acerbis x-power engine covers I' m asking because I think you have both in your bike (and because you are awesome 😎😎) My bike is MY 2022
Very Nice, Now for the crunch questions 😊, how much heavier is it over the stock one, and would you pay 250 dollars of your hard earned cash for one because of the tricky financial times we are in,🤔
@@motorcycleadventures That was quick, I would say that is good endorsement from you thankyou, ps I think you work hard to promote your channel and if you get a few free products that your happy to promote well done👌
This company also makes a bash plate for the Yamaha Tenere World Raid, which is beefier than the one you installed. Will it fit on a 2024 Tenere 700 Euro 5 Exhaust?
What do you think about the screws that are under the skid plate ? Can they be blown away by rocks ? All my skid plates have somehow the screws going inside a little . For example on my GS , the skid plate is Givi and the bolts are somehow hidden. Did you ahd some issues ?
Well Pavlin - yes - looks like you do need a bike LIFTER ☝☝🤓🤓 .....Time witt tell how the new EG does its' job. If it was me - I'd adjust the mounting points - to be able to place back the protecting bars, u have removed. It's still, better to have them.
Maybe it will be the best if it covers the cat, they just changed the euro 4 version instead of making a new design for euro 5, i have the axp, it covers the water pump, side stand switch and don't make de aluminium noises when it's hit by the rocks sent by the front tyre. But it looks very sturdy and good quality. BTW you have Acerbis engine covers available
@@motorcycleadventures It's certainly a well made, heavy-duty item (the welding is particularly nice) and it should stand up to anything you throw at it Pavlin ! - I just wish they made one for my Tiger 800 !..
Hello Pavlin, been trying to buy one of these and am having trouble getting them to give me a way to pay in euros and get a VAT invoice, would buy it right now but they are not making it easy !! keep up the great videos
So it gets better, I have paid the VAT to Motoes as they asked, now I canot get my bashplate as FEDEX say they will not deliver the item untill I pay the VAT to them 😡
Quality. On my old 660 I had some car radiator hose ( I think) around the lower front left coolant pipe. I have seen some people cut open old handgrips for the same job. I wonder if R an G or anyone else makes a carbon fibre cover for the clutch cover? Much lighter, but not perfect . Definitely agree it is vulnerable at the moment. That skid plate is a good start, though. Safe, happy travels 👍
What kind of boulders and rocks are you riding on to need such a massive plate? 80 percent of your riding is on the road, the other 20 percent on relatively smooth dirt. In all your years have you ever smashed open an engine?
I bought this part and the welds are not nearly up to snuff compared to the ones I see on their website and the one in this video. They also messed up the paint on one of the corners. When I went to return it they said that it will cost me 250 dollars to return it. They offered me a 65 dollar discount. I tried to submit a review on their website and it won't show. BUYER BEWARE. It is funny to me how this guy a long time ago said that all additional protection is no needed and only adds additional weight on bike, and now with the new bike, he put everything on...

Double

That bashplate looks tough, maybe you can find a smaller crashbar which fits with it
Maybe
Believe or not you Will need the crash bar for full protection the motor, is my personal opinion. All the best, Pavlin.
I will buy the top.
I believe your original crash bars offered better protection on the right side. I would stay with the original setup JMHO . . .
Crash guard is not original. Yes, it provides better side but no engine protection.
I wanted to buy that, but no available here in Philippines
Sorry to hear!
Can you see the engine oil sight glass with the bash plate on?
No, so I drill a hole.
Can’t find info, maybe anybody knows? Does it fit with OEM central stand?
That's one hell of an engine guard Pavlin !!.. Is it from a Tank ?!!

what about changing oil and filter , looks like a lot more work .
It needs to be take off anyway, even with the stock plate. The same work - 4 bolts.
Hi do you know if it's compatible with the heed crash bars
