I came here to immerse myself in the nostalgia and see your reaction to the trailers, but I didn’t expect to see a fragment of my film :]. 2019 was the most inspiring year for the game.
Funnily enough, while people complained about no song in the Ungoro trailer, I feel the opposite would of happened if KotFT had a song in it's trailer. It was the first time the Hearthstone team was properly tackling the Lich King in Hearthstone, it was loosely implied in TGT but this was when they were tackling it for real and giving it the weight it kinda deserved for being the HS expansion inspired by Wrath of the Lich King one of the most iconic WoW expansions. I think just having Invicible arguably one of the most iconic WoW themes ever made be the backing track for this trailer gave it the weight and feel fans wanted out of this expansion out of the time and I rhink giving it a unique song, even if it matched the vibe of the expansion would of honestly made the trailer worse considering what it represented historically for the game.
I stopped playing after it. The whole Heroes of Azeroth in cards wasn't speaking to me as much as the year of the dragon along with a couple of expansions before the Heores and It just fell. Oh, and, I also got uni things to do so it got really hectic and I lost interest in a bunch of things.
Honestly I love the music in the festival of legends' cinematic, especially with how they did the genera for classes. Of course it would be a lot better if they did all of them and didn't put the gameplay in.
knights of the frozen throne is my favourite expansion and theme overall, but i just cannot ever stop absolutely adoring the saviors of uldum trailer beyond anything else, it's just in its own league.
ngl, what you said about the trailer for Sunken City hurt my soul 😭 I don't particularly care for the synthetic/technoey/electric/etc. types of music (sorry to any music specialists for grouping them all together), but even I have to admit, the music in this trailer is SUPERB, MAGNIFICENT even. The way it's near perfectly synchronised to what's happening in the trailer, the interweaving with the speech of a High Elf, the sudden mellowing near the end as they escape danger only for the last few beats to come back at the end, chef's kiss! Plus, it's a bop in and of itself. Add to that the fact that a lot of the set's legends and locations show up in the trailer (obviously a harder task for a full expansion compared to a miniset, but I feel they managed it pretty well), and I am very much conflicted between it and Saviors as my favourite Hs trailer, as I feel they are VERY similar, with Saviors perfectly continuing an overarching narrative and Sunken City's STUNNING visuals as the main differences between the two. HOWEVER, the video is still great 👍 I have seen a few tierlists of Hs trailers, and I feel like yours is the one that considers the most aspects. Most people really only look at the music and the vibes/atmosphere, you also looked at the story of the trailers and their... uniqueness, I would say, which helped justify many placements on the list. I also feel like, while some placements would be different inside particular tiers for me, the assignment to tiers themselves is near perfection 👌 (I do hope you change your mind on Sunken City's music someday, though ;>) (Edit: oh, and sorry for this essay, I often write these longass comments, but for this one especially I feel like I had to really explain why the music in SC is so good)

Saviors of Uldun and Descent of Dragons are absolutely unbeatable. I really like Whispers of The Old Gods and One Night in Karazan, but they pale in comparison
Ain’t no way that both rastakans rumble and descent of dragon are getting snubbed, DoD is honestly top 3, it shows an entire battlefield mid battle filled with DRAGONS, idk how you can’t be hyped seeing that
It feels like the quality of cinematics has just completely dropped after festival. Sure, the FoL and MotLK weren't great, but for Titans and Whizbang's there may as well not be a cinematic, and the Showdown in the badlands one wasn't just mediocre, it also came out after all of the cards were revealed, so what's even the point? All 3 of them could arguable go into the "doesn't have a cinematic" category.

I think the gameplay could work in the trailers. They need to make the cards that are being played look very powerful with legendaries.
