- Yes, I am preparing a video on resume writing, but a few of you have expressed some difficulty in passing the written assessment. This short video uses the USMS Assessment Preparation Guide and is intended to help prepare you to pass this critical step.
After seeing a glimpse of that test, I feel pretty good about it. Thanks for the vid!
With respect and in defense of some of the people that were deemed ineligible, USMS has the most disorganized hiring out of any of the agencies (from my experience), with that in mind I dont think there's any rhyme or reason to how they grade that test. A lot of those questions seem self explanatory, but I find it hard to believe that many people who are well qualified/but deemed ineligible would pick the undesirable answers to those questions.
Fwiw I havent taken the USMS written, but it took 7 months to hear that I didnt pass their interview. Then the district sent me an email asking about status a year after I received the inelible interview scoring. In contrast to USMS, DEA told people right on the spot if they passed or failed the interview.
I agree. I’m a degreed military police veteran. I went to the information session and passed the test. Then I got an email saying I was deemed ineligible.
I was down and so confused. No reason was given. I’m applying again soon
@@jeremybstudentpilot5315 what was the test! Was it right after the information session or something you schedule to take?
Hi sir. Can you make a video about government employees switching series from a higher paying admin salary to say an entry level 1811 investigator position and the time it takes to make it back to previous grade. Just for context GS 14 to a GL 7.
You have mentioned in other videos, you were head of a DEA task force. Can you make a video on on that topic , thanks .
How many do you need to get right on the exam to meet or exceed the standard? Since you only have 20 minutes to answer 38 questions correctly.
I really enjoyed the information being put out I wanted to know more about the structured interview I have mine a month for today and wanted to know how I can better prepare myself thanks in advance
The STAR method is the best way to prepare. There are lots of videos on UA-cam that speak on it. Most LE agencies conduct their interviews this way.
I am Recruiting outside of USA, not only from CVMA gang for my U.S. Iraqi SWAT team but All countries, especially if they have US Military or US Federal Government in their countries to follow 3 simple Rules of engagement to make it 100% Legal like Iraq 2008, using Same Tactics how I was Personally Taught from Cpt Gucherio and 1sgt Kevin Armstrong (Retired Sargent Major) because they are the Highest Chain of Command on Patrol Base Woodcock, Iraq.
Obviously as much as you talk about the USMS it is by far the best Federal Law Enforcement Agency by a landslide. Yes, better than DEA, admit it.
Good evening!
Heard tht Fletc is closing down partially. Some agencies are not allowing a new hires who haven’t been vaccinated, to Fletc for training.
Is what is. FLETC is going to always at the mercy what ever administration that is in charge.
Do they train SERE
This is the exact step that tripped me up a few weeks ago. Even the questions were basically the same and I answered them exactly as you did here using the same thought processes and they said I did not score high enough.
I genuinely would like to know how they scored it to see where I went wrong.
When did you receive the results
@@MrTeamkikz it took them about 6 weeks to email me saying I was ineligible.
@@JACCO20082012 I’m sorry to hear about your results.. How did you get the opportunity for the job? I haven’t seen any job openings on USA jobs.. any tips you would give for applying?
@@forresthobbs2910 you have to speak to a recruiter and get an invite to an "information session" where they kind of pre-screen you and then extend a personalized invitation to apply on USAJobs. I attended the session at the beginning of March and got my invite at at the beginning of June. Then the thanks but no thanks at in the middle of July.
Naturally now the recruiters are ignoring my emails to try to get back into an info session lol
Live and learn I guess.
@@JACCO20082012 thanks for your info! That’s so unfortunate to hear from your experience, I’m sure everything will work out in your favor! If you hear anything back from them regarding your results or hiring. I’d be interested to know! Good luck & God bless!
Where can I find a study guide?
