I remember watching the Love Boat (and Fantasy Island following it) on a regular basis every Saturday night back in the early-mid 1980s when it was still originally on the air. There was something so COMFORTING and SOOTHING about the opening theme as well as each and every episode. Entertaining too. I am a 2000s kid. But growing up I only had antenna TV and reruns of this show were on every Sunday. I vividly remember my mother rattling off which guest star was which, who was who, and I'd have no idea lol. So, it somehow still etched its way into my childhood 3 decades late and I will always love it for that.

The Love Boat surely was a magical series when I was a kid watching it every Saturday night in the '70s. The stories were captivating, Lauren Tewes' "Julie" was cute, and the action along the high seas kept me mesmerized. Even to this day, the theme song moves me, making me feel good. RIP Gavin McLeod

They must've be rushed not to have her just walk up and stand there again.Would've taken all of five minutes to set up, considering it was a stationary camera.
My favorite show with my Grandmother to watch

RIP, Gavin MacLeod, the real Captain of the Love Boat!
RIP John Allan Jones
I’m 45 and miss the old days where life was simplier and less stressful.
R.I.P. Jack Jones.
Sitting in my nans house watching this as a kid I had no choice really 😂
Considering that it was a Saturday night, it could have been Lawrence Welk instead! 😄
Love Boat then Fantasy Island made many happy Saturday nights for me. I miss ‘back in the day’ probably more than I should. 😞
