Funny because when you see her on interviews you can tell she is NOTHING like that in real life. Probably why she could play Nellie with a humorous edge; especially in scenes where she got her comeuppance.
@@fraiser3330 I think it should not have been easy at all for her to embody this bitch in the Little house on the prairie. It's amazing to see her in Love Boat, she is so cute !!

Alison really is this friendly and kind in real life. She is very funny and very amazing! :) well besides the part where she tries to keep the "little runt" out of her hair. lol
@@JacobNightingale Nonsense. It’s quite obvious even in this video when she isn’t playing nasty she was quite attractive. When Vicky approaches her on the stairwell outside for instance. She’s older now like all of us are and looks different but she’s aged quite well.

The Love Boat theme and Barney Miller's, Welcome Back Kotter's etc. all signaled the end of the day. The family ate, watched these shows on tv when they were scheduled to run, and we finished our homework early to watch. It was a special time.
What a biarch I was cringing all the way thru poor Vicki getting the shaft but some sage words from Capt Stubing which actually ring true and Vicky was big enough to take high road. One of the best theme songs ever and especially during Covid (quarantine).

Lady Chayne You sound like a self-righteous douchebag yourself. Take your libtarded SJW nonsense somewhere else. No I’m not a boomer either (not that there is anything wrong with that).
You would have thought they would have given her an entirely different roll to play, like a sweet young lady, falling in love with a nice guy...just saying! 🌼
These shows from the 70s and 80s were so heart warming.
Yes nothing beats the 70s shows. Thank heavens for Jones T.V. now that airs them all now
I wish Canada would allow these great Shows to air. I miss them so much. The first time was wonderful but I'd like to see them all again as an adult.
This was 1981
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas late 70s to early 80s
Alison is probaby the most down to earth person you would ever meet
Nellie sporting Laura's hair style! LOL

she probably needed the work and didn't like to do a Nellie character, but did it anyway. lol

Great 1981 Love Boat episode!

How else did they get rid of her?
Yes she is. That bank job paid better than we thought!
LOL... yea, they sent her on a cruise and even changed her name
LOL. Be sure to keep that little runt out of my hair. I can't stop laughing. Boy, I thought was watching an episode of Little House for a minute.
She does such an awesome job at being a stuck up snob. She made Little House on the Prairie interesting!

This was 1981. Says it on the video.
You got to love Nelly I mean Allison she's just perfect
I love Allison........she's so fun.
I love Alison, she is so gorgeous
Wow her character on this episode is just like Nellie Olesons character...great actress Alison is
Thanks for posting. I use to watch the love boat, but had never seen this one. It was so good and fun to watch.
I HAD NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE EITHER !!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
She was so pretty
Aunt Gertrude is Miss Jane Hathaway from the Beverly Hillbillies Nancy Culp.
I love her lol ❤️
Thank you! I recognized her and couldn't place her.
It seem like most of the cast of Little House on the Prairie guest starred on Love Boat, with exception of Michael Landon.
At least 2 from Gomer Pyle here.
I agree! I would have really loved to have seen Michael Landon on this!
She looks like Cindy Brady with those pigtails.

I kept expecting Becky Daniels to tell Vicky that she could be in her special club, then hand her the Peter Piper tongue twister.
Awesome, "Sanford and Son" and "Little House" meet on "The Love Boat". Both of my favorites from NBC.

I've never thought about this before, but Jane Lynch reminds me of Nancy Kulp.
Estuvo muy bonito el capitulo!!!
Her characters personality reminds me of my cat.
If I was Alison, I would've been extremely annoyed that the producers only wanted me there as a guest to play a repeat of Nellie Oleson.
...and a ridiculously cheap and thoughtless story line...
I think she's gotten used to it. She did write "Confessions Of A Prairie Bitch", after all.
Pride doesn't pay the bills. If you want to be paid, you do what the producers ask.
