- Hear from @SteveHenry the builder/stol pilot from Wild West Aircraft of YeeHaw #8. Sun n Fun was just the second event Steve has attended with this new Highlander build. Steve will attend several STOL and STOL Drag events throughout 2023.

I fly a slick, little fiberglass sport plane that cruises at 180 MPH TAS with only 120hp, above 10k and that’s my thang, but the kinda people I see at the center of the STOL community are all, so cool, likable, generous and fun. We enjoy the social and family atmosphere at their events. One day Steve might have to sell me a Highlander kit.

Really looking forward to seeing YeeHaw #8 at the Wayne, NE STOL Drag at the end of May! Who else has had a chance to watch Steve fly any of his awesome aircraft?
what about DUC props?
Not sure if Steve has tried DUC props. Do you have experience with them?
@@Blaircraft.Engines a viking aircraft video highlighted that they behave somewhat like a constant speed prop when tested on their honda engines, which I found fascinating.

So Steve is running a much higher power to weight than his competitors? and why don't all STOL planes have slats?
Several people are adding slats if in the experimental exhibition category. However staying certified, it makes it more difficult to get approval.
They would help most aircraft.
