Bissell Crosswave Max Vacuum Mop Review / What I Really Think!

- Опубліковано 19 жов 2024
- Bissell Crosswave cordless max review - a bestselling vacmop (wet dry mop). This is unlike any other cleaning tool you've ever seen. You no longer need to sweep or vacuum your hard floors and then mop them. The Crosswave combines them into one step. That's right, it is like a vacuum and a mop all in one. I go over all the specs, how it works, and if it is worth the price.

The Bissell Crosswave multi-surface wet dry vacuum is the best vac mop! This has honestly been a HUUUUUUGE gamechanger for me. I literally use it multiple times a day to clean up spills, crumbs and messes. Since purchasing the Bissell Crosswave, my floors have never EVER been cleaner.
I haven't touched my mop since a purchased it, except for when I threw it in the garbage. The Bissell vacuum mop is cordless and has a run-time of 30 minutes per charge. It has a self-cleaning cycle to keep the mop- head clean and it is safe for use on tile, sealed wood floors, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. It even refreshes area rugs!
Probably my favorite part is the two-tank system, a clean and dirty compartment so you are only cleaning your floors with clean water. This really ups your cleaning floor game. I do manually clean the mop head when needed, which is very easy to do. I cannot imagine life without it, I absolutely love it!!!
I think I like this channel. It's rare to see reviews that take place in a real lived in house, one that doesn't look like a museum or studio.
I just bought the Bissell Crosswave max 3 days ago. I used it for the first time this morning to clean + mop my 5 bathrooms this morning. Wow! It took me only 30 min for the entire job, and it did an amazing job and I didn't even break a sweat ❤
Yup....life changing. I will never go back
I just bought mine today. I'm hoping to get the same experience 🙏
The most amazing product ever. With a 4 and a 6 year old is life changing
Does it work well as a dry vacuum as well? Looks like it can do double duty all in one go. I have a pet that sheds a lot of hair so mostly it's dry cleaning, but on those situations when there's water on the floor, I'd like it to pick up the dirt, hair and any wet spots.
It took me awhile to find your video after I had watched so many on the crosswave. Your video convinced me to finally buy it with all the details❤️I love it! One month in and I walk around in socks ( I had designated house shoes before) Thank you for your video and energy!! With love from Germany 🇩🇪 and my hardwood floors and tile 😂
Nice review. Couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to clean the whole house in one charge?
2. Is it possible to clean the whole house without dismantling the parts to clean it in the middle?
3. Is there a cheap third party solutions available in any store? Proprietary solutions are usually expensive for no good reason.
4. How many times do you have to go over the whole floor for it to be 100% clean?
I think the ability to not having to use a Dyson before cleaning the floor is amazing. I don't like the ritual of cleaning the floor.
Probably not I have used a few battery vaccines but these heated ones take a while
Unless you live in a tiny home or apartment, probably not.
If you have pets, you might have to stop and clean it out, mine gets pretty full of dog hair.
My first video that I've seen of yours and the relateability alone made me subscribe. The skit of you impatiently waiting for the vacuum- then the kids to make a mess 🤣👌🏼💜
Great video !!! An excellent demo. I bought one for my house and 6 for my company on your presentation of the product.
I've been eyeing this machine and watching reviews. After watching yours, I'm gonna go ahead and make the purchase!! I can't wait for it to arrive 🤩😍🤩
You'll love it!
how do you like it since posting this?
I have an d corded one that has gotten tons of use through the years. I longed for a cordless ever since they came out. I now have a puppy and toddler as well as 3 other children. Today I spotted one on marketplace new in box for $100. I bought that so fast. Just put it together and toyed with it for as long as the initial battery lasted. So many improvements from the first and cord free is great. Like the self cleaning also!
P.s. Walmart has a knock off solution that works great but lately I've been just getting the sanitizer kind from Bissell
Wow! You got a steal! Thanks for the Walmart tip
Thanks for showing this in a real lived home and not some staging home! 💕 now let me purchase it
So excited to see the comparison when it comes out. I was very interested in the crosswave and never knew about the Tineco until I saw your other video and I loved their system and smart technology too so now I'm in limbo but I will definitely be ordering one or the other soon!
We are working on this comparison this week so expect the video soon. Small hint...we both love ours but for a few different reasons.😁 Thank you so much for the comment
Let’s just say I work at a place that sales these and since they took reps away from those store we in the field have no idea on some of their product. So Now by watching your video it looks like I’m going to probably be the cross wave sales rep. Great job on the video.
I love how you said u would say pros & the few cons but didn't list one con 😂 my birthday is next week, this was my gift request. Thanks!
Happy birthday!!
@@CleanFreakGermaphobe thanks! Got it yesterday. Best purchase ever!
Crosswave Max is $99 on clearance at Lowes. I got one yesterday! From $399 to $99.
Looks great! A couple of questions… Can you dry vac without the wet mop part? And, how long does it take for floors to dry? Does it leave behind a lot of moisture on the floor? Thank you! Looking forward to the comparison!
It does not leave a lot of moisture which I really like. The moisture that is there dries pretty fast. The Bissell has a trigger you can push to control when water comes out. I don't ever use this on my carpets... but I do use it on my area rugs without the water. Hope that helps. Comparison to be coming soon. 😃
You can use it to dry vac, but BISSELL doesn’t recommend using it that way. It’s intended to be used with wet messes. If you use it as a dry vac, wear and tear increases
@@CleanFreakGermaphobe Thanks thins was very helpful
Than you for the great review. I wonder how is your Bissell holding up after 2 years? Is it still working well?
Oh that looks great! I'm looking forward to the comparison video 😆
Thanks you.👍 We are working on that this week so it should be out in a few weeks.😀
I have one of the first models and I just got this one and I love the first model and like I said though I can't wait to use this one. What I like about it is I don't have to even read the instruction manual it's pretty self-explanatory. I like how they all have the same concept when you put water and empty out the dirty part. Also, always empty out the dirty compartment sometimes it's easy to forget but it's obvious why I'm saying this. Never let it sit there it can get pretty gross. Just dump it and rinse it after each one. Just use only what you need sometimes you need to fill it to the top fill line for big jobs and usually a huge job I can get it done with just a little bit. You can always add more water and solution. When I first use my old model which I know the new model is even better, the old model, before I bought it I thought it I would have to keep refilling it to do a big job but a little goes a long way I was shocked. I can do all of my floors with just a little bit of water and solution on the low-lying. Also with tile, keep in mind that the bottom piece that vacuums all the stuff, it has a little bit of a rubber bumper on it which is good. But with tile sometimes you have that one tile that is a little bit higher than the rest, so always remember where that one uneven tile is in your house and be gentle when you pass over that tile, I would cringe when I would accidentally go over that one spot, you don't want it to ruin your bumper on the vacuum part.
Tku for your time. I'm trying to find out if it also works as a carpet vacuum cleaner and a carpet shampoo cleaner? as well...
Great review, it's only missing how it deals with inside corners, for vacuuming and cleaning.
Thanks
Good question. I would honestly say it doesn't get that inside corner as perfectly as I wish it did. I try to vacmop the corner from both ways and that helps.
Thank you for this video. I'm excited by the idea of a wet/dry vacuum that's easy to clean. Is it safe for solid wood floors and engineered wood floors? Does it work well to clean tile grout?
It is safe for sealed hardwood. In fact, they have a roller and cleaning formula especially for hardwood floors. It doesn't "clean" grout exactly but since using my Crosswave, my grout is definitely cleaner because I'm not just pushing dirty water into grout lines, it is sucking up the dirty water...if that makes sense. I can't tell you how much I love mine. If you decide to check it out, please use our links and thank you so much for watching 😃👍
I came here for this Vid... I now would loooooove to own this...thank you...enjoy cleaning
I'm watching lots of videos and you're the only one that has a lot of crumbs and goo to have to vacuum up! How do you thing this will go on a low rise carpet?
It does ok on carpet but it’s not as good as vacuuming and using a carpet cleaner. So if it’s not very dirty and no stains it helps but not for deeper cleaning jobs.
This looks awesome. My 1 year old loves throwing food on the floor. Heading to the shops tomorrow to buy one!!
You won't regret it. I use mine every....single....day😃
Been researching "all day" and am torn between the corded Bissell Pet Pro & the Cordless Crosswave max. The pet pro is $150 less. So now I need you to review this for me! PRETTY PLEASE.
If only Bissell would send us one we would for sure. But we'll see what we can do.
I have been thinking about the same thing. The corded one is slightly more powerful and if you are a younger person, the corded one is likely to last much longer because batteries have a determined amount of cycles. Tineco's vacmop was rated to 300 cycles, which is not many years if you are using it all the time. Half of cordless stick vacuums develop battery problems within five years. But it will depend on whether you vacuum daily or on the weekends.
The honest answer is that the cordless will be easier to use but will probably start dying in 5 years. The corded vacmop will be frustrating at times because the cords aren't generally long enough but it could last decades. (My Shark Liftaway vacuum is still going strong after 10 years. Not sure whether newer vacuums really will last 10 years but quite possibly.)
What the heck. I’m pregnant so I watch your other channel and also wanted a vacuum and who do I see but my “in the pink” weekly watch! Haha small world. Thanks for the review :)
Yup. You've discovered another one of my obsessions...cleaning. 😁
Hi ,is this still a great purchase hv 4 kids aged 14,7,5,2,all boys...can u imagine my floor...so would really appreciate ur feedback, thanks..
I absolutely LOVE my crosswave!!!
Now they have a crosswave with steam called HydroSteam. I just got it and it's amazing! Steams so well it warms the floor
Fantastic video!!
I had a few great laughs too.
Have you noticed if it leaves any marks in the floor after it dry?
Honestly, if I go too fast, and hold down the water button at the same time, sometimes it leaves a little more water. But otherwise, no😃
Thank you! I like your video and my floors are very similar so seeing it in action is nice. I have a nasty pulled muscle in my back that makes mopping difficult and with a dorky dog that slobbers and two senior dogs that drag dust everywhere I need a quick spot check on demand. I’m gonna try it. Maybe I won’t gag if I’m not stepping in spilled water and dust anymore.
Thanks for the video. I am curious about how long the roller lasts? It comes with 2 of them, but how long do they last so I know how often you need to replace them. And have you found any other solutions that work with it that are not as expensive?
I used one roller for 3 months straight and then started switching off between the new 1 and the old 1. After 5 months, I think I might want to replace the old one.
@@CleanFreakGermaphobe thanks for your reply! Also, how does it do with dog hair on area rugs that are a little thicker? We have a rug under our bed so when we step out of bed it’s not directly on the cold wood floor.
Thank you for a real review and real house!
Haha. You are welcome. I have plenty of "real house"🤣
How does this compare to a dyson? Im behind in the cleaning tech and it seems dyson only does dry vacuuming, while this one vacuums wt and dry) and mops too, right?
I loved it. I wish I could get a Bissell that lasted more than six months.
I haven't had problems like that. Did you try customer service? They have a really good warranty
Very thorough review!! Thanks!! Just bought mine!
Do you have to hold the water button down as you clean or is it push once to activate it?
I will buy a product from this brand, but can you give me information about which one is best for carpets and hard floors?
You can't use these on carpets, but since you can control the water on the Bissell, you can use them on very short pile rugs.
thank you so much@@CleanFreakGermaphobe
Is there any wet dry vacuum which we can use on carpets? Thanks
Great review! Thank you so much.
i wish they sell replacement/add on battery tho...
also how well does it perform on carpet? does it need the rug roller for that?
I love the idea of a vac and wet vac but I always have a problem like water liking from it.
The only time I’ve had that is when the dirty water tank needs to be emptied or there’s some sort of blockage. Or the tank isn’t lined up. So if I’m coaching something really dirty at someone’s house. But it’s made to be quick and easy so you do it often and it never gets bad. I don’t have this issue and any I’ve had I’ve been able to solve (I made videos about them). I think it’s been 4 years now since I started using a vacuum mop. Even my skeptical husband can’t live without it now.
What brand are you using?
Thank you for the informative video. Can you leave the head lamp on all of the time?
Do your floors pass the white sock 🧦 test ??
Here is how I gage it.... I used to NEVER want to walk on my floor barefoot. I hated it if my feet got dirty and especially if I stepped on a crumb. Now I almost always go bare feet.
My hard floors are roughly 800 sq ft. The rest is carpeted. My fear is that it won't stay charged long enough. Please lmk what you think about this. I'm wanting one for Christmas, but am trying to do some research. Thanks so much!!!
It stays charged enough for my entire main level which is all hard floors. Plus has some left. It's around 1200 square feet.
@@CleanFreakGermaphobe Thanks
How long does it take to charge fully?
I love this machine.
Is the surface cleaner pet safe? Can the vac and mop functions be used separately?
Thank you your information helped me a lot
Happy it helped, which one sounds better to you?
If you have the budget our top pick now is the newer Tineco S5. I can get a link to it but it cleans better and has bigger tanks plus can get closer to the edges. We tested it against several vacuum mops and it performed best. Not everyone needs the best but to us, it is!
I’m just curious what steam cleaner you were using hat left your floors wet
Could you buy extra batteries while one is being charged?
I find my floors are streaky with this machine!
Thank you
Excellent video, and you made me laugh.
Are there really people out there who would use a machine like this to do what you demonstrated at the 10:08 mark? If so, that’s just insane IMHO.
Haha. I did it to demo what it can do. Probably most people won't do that though.
I’m a new stay at home Dad. Can I use this on the tile floor in the kitchen as well as bathrooms or should I have a separate mop for bathrooms?
Ah good question. As a germaphobe, I would disinfectant the floor around the toilet Before I used the vacmop in the bathroom. Most people would not bother with that I'm sure
Why don't you pour your tank down the toiler (after you dump the trash into the trash)? I know you have a garbage disposal, I know you pour vinegar/bleach down your sink but, it's...crap, right? It's yucky food that hasn't been fermented by bacteria to be used as fuel. Wouldn't the toilet be better? Thank you for this video.
Edit* I have another question: The cordless one has a different front roller. Would it make sense to have both(for maximum luxury if one can afford it)? The cordless to be used as a power sweeper and then the Max to be used as a power mop. Again, the MAX has a different front roller and you wouldn't want that for bigger debris but you would want it to mop. I have a bad back and want the cordless one, should disabled combat veterans collecting VA disabiltiy because they were maimed, get both?
Hi love your UA-cam site. Just wounding does it clean vinyl floors thanks.
Yes. Sure does 😃
Very helpful thank you so much.
I see you used on small area rug. How long is drying time before walking on area rugs?
I turn off the water, so it's not wet 👍
I have it and I love it
Mine doesn’t suck when you pull backwards it only vacuums when you push it forward .. I haven’t heard anyone else point out this issue ..
And here I am wanting to spend a lot of money to buy one of those vacuum+ mop robots. I’ll rather buy this instead way cheaper more efficient in my opinion
The vacuum mop robots we’ve tried aren’t as good. Simply because they can’t hold enough clean or dirty water.
I bought one last december and only thing I don't like is the marks on the floor. The wheels leave marks :( otherwise it's super convinient but quite pricy!
It is pricey. I use mine multiple times every day so the value is definitely there. I have never had problems with marks on my floor. Call Bissell. That doesn't sound right.
Can you do a review with bissell symphony, steam/vac…
Thanks for the request, we'll try to.
Hello, let me ask you something: Does your Crosswave not have the cleaning process in its charging station? Yes yes... it cleans itself...
Other videos show a more involved cleaning process where they have to take off the bottom and rinse it all. Do you not need to do that or is it just not shown? That’s a big part of my decision.
In this review, we talked more about the specs of the machine. They both need to be cleaned. The brushes need to be removed and cleaned. The dirty water container too. I try to do it every night.. sometimes every other night
Does it pick up big crumbs?
Yes! And big messes and spills
how does this work on vinyl sheet flooring? it will probably mess up my floors..
I always wanted one of these
I don't regret the purchase. I love mine!
People relax. It’s a vacuum review not a house staging. You don’t have to like her house. Just pay attention to the review.
Lol true
How well do these vacuum mops handle dog hair?
Very well!
I would love to see the self wash feature..
Me too😃. I run it every time after I use it, so multiple times a day.
is this an actual mop?
what about hardwood floors? Not laminate but real hardwood?
Thank u
You are welcome 😃
I’m currently pregnant and clicked on the video and was like “hey, is this the women from the pregnancy videos?” lol.
Hows the streaking with this machine?
Too much streaking will ruin it for me
Ahhh your grout is screaming to be cleaned 🤫
My home us a fixer upper. One of our next projects is completely cleaning and refinishing the travertine and grout. Watch for that video coming soon.
Utterly Rediculous
It’s distracting I agree, made it tough to focus on the review.
You do know there is different colored grout right?
Costco has a 128oz of the Muli-Surface online for 29.99. W Deal.
4 hours of charging for a half hour? not worth my time
I have yet to run out of charge while using it. It is very efficient in cleaning the floors and I honestly will never go back to my old way of moping. BISSELL does have corded models however, if that suits you better. You have the hassle of a cord, but won't ever run out of a charge.
hows this with pet hair
Took too long for the bissel to get that red liquid up. She passed over it 4 times and I could still see it. No.
These do leave streaks on floor
Did you quit your job at Broadway and start a comedy business here? LOL
I bought the Bissel Crosswave. It did a great job on my travertine floors. However, I do not think it deeps cleans the area rugs well. Seems it does not dispense enough water in the area rug mode.
But how is it as a vacuum ?
Because it vacuums. It vacuums crumbs, dirt, whatever, plus wet messes. Then it mops at the same time. It's awesome
Beware. You can't replace the battery of the crosswave Cordless Max. At that price, and in 2021, it's an outrage
2:09 Karen Walker 🤣🤣🤣
I have Bissell Crosswave Max Vacuum, and its not worth the money
I didn’t like it I had the pet one it didn’t mop well for me
She's hilarious
Ha ha , you are so funny 😁
2:05 lol
Lol. Thanks.
Bissell crosswave max cordless vs
Just use vinegar and water
Your very funny
Thank you so much😁 Thank you also for watching
This machine stinks. It uses warm water that is cold within two minutes.I do use the clean cycle but it never goes away.
The grout in your floors looks so gross. Is that what it's supposed to look like
Woman, get new floors they look so dirty and ugly
House on the commercial looks disgusting. I means the floor tiles and the beat up tables? Bad presentation.
This was not a commercial. It was a review. Not a studio, a real home. Thanks for watching though.
