I'm using this a lot for skiing so I needed one that has a removable battery so I can swap out while on the mountain. I'm glad I saw this and solidified my choice to get the Hero6 Black instead of the Hero7 Black. Saves me a good amount of $$

sure, i have a 5 and a 6 and works great. i record in 1080 60 even if both of them can do 4k. still very capable cameras
I used mine in Puerto Rico, Miami, and Hawaii while diving this year and it has done really well. So yes.
I use mine for dash cam 720 60 😂
I use one to capture vids off my rc cars, durable and wateroroof, so far great for that!

As a Time Traveller is this still worth it in 2027 ?
Hello, I am a fellow time traveler, and probably not, it would be better to get the GoPro hero 12 even though it costs much more, since it can record 4K60fps and 8k30fps. It also has much better stabilisation and slow-mo. I don’t recommend using it for space trips since 12+ months in space can stuff up the battery and lens.
Watched this and picked up a hero 6 black, was going to buy a hero 7 silver but looked into it and decided that would be the worst decision of my life.
the stabilization though
@@joshuac2391 the non removable battery is just now worth it despite better stabilization.. i personally wouldn't buy it even if it was 50$. he made the right decision going for the 6

i have one of this been working good till i decided to prove if it was waterproof for real , i took it to the water park made sure the battery and the plug entrance were completely sealed. when i came back to
the house to download my videos they were some
lines showing on the screen and havent gone away. still works tho

Since you have a lot of experience with the gopro 6 black, could you tell me if the image freezes too often?
I have read that the camera hangs and the battery needs to be removed for it to work again.
And that happens very often.
That has me undecided about whether to buy it or not.

I noticed with the 7 black the battery drainage does the 6 black have the same issue

Because of the small sensor, not so well. You will get very grainy footage.
