My 3 year old son already has a passion for dance and ballet. He's sooo young but his father and I are behind him all the damn way. If he flew through the air like these amazing men I'd be crying with pride. Wowwww!! Bravo!!
Beautiful! Such strength, grace, stamina and sheer artistry! No one really understands the difficulty and hours of practice to make ballet look so effortless, unless you have been a dancer yourself.
I desperately secretly wanted to learn ballet when I was a kid, but I was already so bullied at home and school and thought to myself that if I had dared saying that I wanted to try it out my life would've been way worse. Today I regret so much not taking that risk, I think it would've helped me so much on building self confidence, better posture and expressing myself better.

Thanks for sharing. I just showed this video to my 5 year old son who came out with "Men don't do ballet dancing!" the other day. I was shocked and had to show him that they indeed do!
Your son is probably repeating what he has heard others say. He may actually be interested, so he is testing your response. Please encourage him to dance if he wants to.
So inspiring for my son, who is now doing Grade 5, and just danced a small 2.5 min solo to some Don Quixote music during a school production. Thanks for being such great role models.

I like how they move-it's kind of elegant and beautiful to see them dance. The jumps-don't start with me on the jumps! I have no words to that! I know that being a male ballet dancer you have to support the female ballet dancer on her jumps, clarify me if I'm wrong but comparing between the two, male ballet dancer put a lot of work to that. Carrying an adult female is no joke. When I saw the scene in Swan Lake, Giselle is being carried by the Prince in the midst of her dancing, I thought that huh, the woman must be lightweight. But then later on, I immediately cross to that idea. Even though they were skinny, it doesn't hide the fact that they are heavy af. It's my own conclusion! How could they carry the female dancers while being so beautiful and elegant! Like wow... 😲😲
Beautiful artistic elegant men. I was a ballet dancer for many years and I can tell you they are extremely strong and athletic and not bad to look at either...;) !!!!
When I was a kid, I used to think men doing ballet was embarrassing for them but that was because I had never watched them. I remember one day I watched one of those famous dance movies and that one had ballet and hip hop dancers together and I realized that male ballet dancers are super cool and manly, and they even look more elegant than the girls for me.
I want to learn ballet. I always used to imagine myself as a swan and prance and dance in circles with my arms flailing around LOL! These guys are not only incredibly elegant but awfully attractive!
I have just recently discovered the beauty, grace, and intensity of Ballet. I have never been interested in Ballet before and I'm 20 years old now. I would love to take classes but I don't plan on dancing to traditional ballet music rather something much different. When did these men start dancing?
Robert Rivera Well once you're an adult you can travel wherever you'd like and do almost whatever you want (: I heard it's not entirely recommended (really hope this doesn't trigger anyone) but you can learn it at home. Obviously don't start en pointe tho, but that's what I'm going to try

This is long winded BUT....I asked my parents if I go to Ballet. I was 12. I was told "boys do not "go to Ballet". I did not understand why. At 17, I stepped on a small ice rink that opened at a local mall in deep south NEW ORLEANS. We never thought it would make it because of our weather LOL. (I did grew up in N.O.) Anyway, I was getting ready to graduate from high school and attended the University of N.O. right after. For the next two years, I attended college full time, worked part time as a bank teller, reached about 10 hours each week ice skating and at one point, attended a beginner's ballet and jazz class on Thursday nights at a local dance studio that specialized in BALLET. (Going to dance class was recommended after my first audition with the professional touring show called the Ice Capades. I did not make it into the show but, was told to go to dance class! ) Back then, there was also Ice Follies and Holiday on Ice but. I wanted to land a spot in Ice Capades because they used the chorus boys in all of the +6 production numbers within the two hour show. I was determined and continued the audition process. I also had my height against me because I was considered a "shorty" at only 5'10. My weight was in proportion to my height and build. At 19, I quit school, bank tellering and landed a spot with the Ice Capades!!! Packed up two suit cases, a steamer trunk and a skate bag and ended up touring for four years.
