- Hello Welcome to my channel! If you like male ballet those videos are for you !
Just to be clear I am talking in this video about my favourites dancers of this generation 2024 so I am not talking about Baryshnikov, Sarafanov or others⚠️
10. Shale Wagman 00:03 / Canadian, First Soloist at the Bayerisches Staatsballett
9. Cesar Corrales 01:08 / Cuban, Principal at the Royal Ballet
8. Yuya Omaki 02:08 / Japanese, Principal at the Maribor Ballet

2. Osiel Gouneo 08:20 / Cuban, Principal at the Bayerisches Staatsballett
1. Kimin Kim 09:25 / South Korean, Principal at the Mariinsky -
Mintagirov is very impressive unbelievable balance and precision😮
Simkin unbelievable😮 technique
I agree Kimin Kim has the technical high level but something else charismatic and iconic🌺🌹🙏🌸
Agree. They are all superb however I find Kim is electrifying and always stirs this old heart 🇦🇺♥️
For me, Vadim has it all: beautiful lines, incredible artistry, grace and elegance. His technique is so clean, he makes everything look effortless.
My favorites are the male dancers of the Paris Opera Ballet. Above all, Hugo Marchand. Beauty, grace and skills
Kimmin Kim is definitely the bonus Thankyou,
Kimin kin looks fab. Would love to see him live
Simkin ❤
A very enjoyable and admirable group of young dancers! Thank you very much for uploading this video.
The male body is perfection and these dancers are magnificent!
I, m glad to have some of them in Munich.
Kimin kim in a different level
only?
Yes they are all great, but Kimmy is just stunning ❤❤❤❤
Very athletic but feet need work....
0h I luv 2 work on feet! Now, where 2 start?
I think he is overrated and not clean
Kimin Kim simply superb.
Shale Wagman,
Cesar Corrales,
Yuya Omaki,
Antonio Casalinho,
Vadim Muntagirov,
Paul Marque,
Yue Shi,
Daniil Simkin,
Osiel Gouneo,
Kimin Kim
A great selection of exceptional talent.
Of course everyone has their own choices but yours are great.
Thanks for the video.
Love the video, love all the dancers but, specially Kimmin Kim , beautiful.
A great video of some exceptional dancers. Interesting that so many of them were young dancers in competitions - they show great promise for the future of ballet. Thanks for posting.
Cesar Corrales puts it all together. strength, control and charisma
Obrigada.
Nice! Glad you included Paul, he's incredible!
Paul Marque is a superb dancer. I'm not sure that the Paris orchestra tempo was quite "Ashtonian". Take a look at Steven McRae performing the same variation at the Royal Ballet. It should be a little faster and that would prevent the small rebound at the end when Marque drops down onto two hands.
Fantastic compilation. Thank you!
They are so magnificent!
All were absolutely wonderful!! Ivan Vasiliev rules! 🌹
Oh! Absolutely beautiful video! I like them all. But of course, I like some more than others. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to make this video. Please keep making more when you can. I'm subscribing. Thank you from Florida, USA.
- we need you in Boca Raton. They don't know nuttin'.
thank you very much, I appreciate it! I'm a little busy with my studies and dancing but I'll try my best to release videos as soon as possible
I still miss Baryshnikov
i also miss Mischa but i also revere and remember an Agnes DeMile dancer Hugh Laing. pls tell me i am not the only one with a long memory. The New York City Ballet and so wonderful in Brigadoon the Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse film
Ivan vassiliev... incomparable
As a lifelong fan of the dance, I really enjoyed this! In fact I may be sending you a doctor bill for fixing my dislocated jaw 😉 The biggest thing I miss since leaving the NYC area is the lack of ballet, and while I grew up on Baryshnikov, Nureyev and those greats it never stopped me from appreciating newer talent. This collection gave me great joy! Thank you from an aging ballet fan!
ua-cam.com/video/8e54cNmEWwo/v-deo.htmlsi=UHJuRbtEaZQ6JdUg I'm sure you'll need jaw surgery after viewing this piece by a dancer Not many have had the opportunity to see live such as I have. Desmond Richardson. He is one half of the Contemporary Dance Company called COMPLEXIONS Contemporary Ballet, which, as you can see from its name, probably was no received well in middle America. But if you would, you can find many a thrilling pieces he and his partner Dwight Oden have choreographed together.
What a lovely comment! It’s so refreshing to find a positive attitude amongst people who identify themselves as older fans. There is an unfortunate tendency to say/write sadly or smugly “Things were better in my day. We will never see anything like it again ever.“
I’ve even seen this among 20 year old K-pop fans bemoaning that the music they loved in middle school is so much better than what’s being produced now. 😂
Best wishes! 🙏🧡🎶🩰💐
António Casalinho. 🇵🇹
geweldig 👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for featuring the now young talented dancers.
Bravo Vadim!
They are all fantastic
I love the way 8:18 lands his double cabrioles'!
they are all so handsome! not to mention the dancing skills.
Breathtaking!
Yue Shi.Amazing! ❤
Yue Si is magnificent. Absolutely majestic. ♥🙏🏽
They all have technical expertise but they lack the charisma of Baryshnikov. He more than danced, he acted. He connected with the other dancers on stage and the audience.
His Giselle was breathtaking- Act 2!
Shale Wagman is a smouldering dynamo, not lacking charisma. All these these young genius dancers have potential. Baryshnikov is a 20th century legend, give them time.
@user-us3xl6id6t He may be smoldering in person but he doesn’t project it.
He is Goat with Sylvie Guillem
And
Superbe!
THANK YOU,
Vadim Muntagirov! Yes, I love him too, especially when he's with Nela. Thank you for introducing me to some dancers I didn't know. I was not familiar with Kimin Kim (embarrassed), but his piece gave me goosebumps. Subscribed!
My favorite is Mikhail Barishnikov!! Pls check him out.
Oh yes! My favorite, favorite of all time!
Beautiful!
Maravillosos ATLETAS ❤❤❤❤
Thanks.
That corrales guy has an inherent grace I didn’t see in the others. The Kim guys legs are unreal.
Thank goodness for Vadim
Sigh♥️💐🌟All those turns perfectly landed in arabesque, attitude or fifth.
Such grace and classicism!
Simpkin is the best of the lot. Ivan Vasilev rules the flames of Paris.Polunin chooses to be out of the main street. Too bad they are not touring. I was lucky to see Ivan twice before Covid. Overall, very good dancers, but not the best of the best.
Saw Danii dance twice within 6 months. He is utterly UTTERLY SUBLIME.
Roberto Bolle
So beautiful! !! Thank you so much!
❤ from Austria, Bernadette
Que maravilhas!🙏🏻❤️💐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🖖🏻
Interesting how many have picked up that trick of multiple en dehors attitude derriere turns ending in a perfectly still, perfectly square first arabesque (facing wall 6). Would you mind listing who everyone's home company is? And do you have any footage of Osel dancing Spartacus? Grea selection!
Sorry I don't have any footage of Osiel in Spartacus I just used a picture from Spartacus for the video. I think I'll put in the description the companies of all of them.
Molto bravo Kimin Kkim
He flies!
6:23 Yue Shi 👍
Ohhh...Vadim - always smiling, always exquisite and exeptional whatever he does - seemingly effortlessly... Greetings from Sweden/Thanks
Breathtaking! Thank you so much! Steven MacRae?
Absolutely amazing dancer but his style doesn't convince me to be one of my favourites. In a top 15 maybe.
@@Carlos-dancingfan
Top 10!
Definitely top 10!
@@joscarman And he is just as convincing in classical ballet as in modern works!
SUPERB elite athletes! 💚
Thanks for giving his name.
Dancer #9(Cesar) and #6 (Vadim) #3(Daniil) did all or the majority of their air and floor rotations CCW, which is the way that most figure skaters rotate. Skaters are given a choice by what is natural i.e., most people who are right handed would rotate CCW and most people who are left handed feel a natural rotation in the CW direction. I've heard that dancers are taught to rotate in both directions. When a routine is choreographed with all or the majority of rotations in the CCW rotational direction as it was for dancer 9, 6 and 3, is that a choice given to the dancer or just the prerogative of every dancer? I love ballet; haven't seen a ton, but of the ballet work I have seen, it seems most dancers turn primarily in the direction of what we call in skating "a lefty" direction. If I had been made to spin primarily CW, a very un-natural direction for me, I would not have been able to do triples, and I doubt - for the great quad jumpers of today - they would be doing quads without being allowed to jump in their natural direction. I've always been curious about this? 🧐 WOW on #1 Kimin Kim...just WOW - definitely deserving 1st!!!!!
dancers learn and train to both sides as equally as possible to maintain a muscular balance over the years, but in variations principals do most the side they are better. For dancers CW is to the right- it is the left standing leg but the turn is to the right side, when the turn is en dehors (to the side of the leg that is in passé)
Thank you Carolina - makes sense. Glad principal dancers can choose to rotate in the direction or in the "side they are better". 👏@@carolinafranciscosorg780
I do know Simpkin is a natural Left hander. Don’t know about any of the others. You can do triples?! Wow. I adore ballet and really like skating and sit in awe of your skills. If someone calls my name as Im walking across the kitchen and I turn my head, Im likely to face plant. 😂
Hi Mary, ha ha 🤣"face plant" love it, but I'm sure you are gifted in other wonderful ways!! I trained and competed back in the Brian Boitano day and competed with him in my final event - had to retire just after reaching the Sr. level due to a back injury, but I did get to compete with the great Brian once :)! Yes I did triples, but what skaters are doing now especially the current World Champ Ilia Malinin is something that we thought was humanly impossible and even today - even though he did it, we are in awe of his super human abilities - hope you got to see his performance - if not u can find it on YT. Anyway, best to you! 🙋🏻♂@@marynoonan6111
🌟🌟🌟
Paul Marque has a high potentiality and when he is dancing with Sae Eun Pak very good match🎉
En absoluto de acuerdo
No list would be complete without Steven MacRae, Edward Watson and Carlos Acosta!
You forgot Sergei Polinin
Would like to know the country of origin of each dancer and the company in which they dance. Enjoyed it. Thank you.
Google is your friend.
Just in the description 😉
im probably the only one who remembers him but my favorite was Hugh Laing.
Gouneo.....impressive and beautiful....also loved Godunov.....but, my personal fave is Polunin
Paul Marque! La classe!
What period does ‘our times’ cover? Because ‘ my time’ covers from WWII to present! In that case you could not ignore Mikael Baryshnikov! Kimin Kim would also be included but so would a number of others (Nureyev?) who were not mentioned. All of whom were better than the 2nd to 10th!
I understand but please read the description
@@Carlos-dancingfan if you are saying ‘our times’ refers to the year 2024 then all you need to say is ‘My Top 10 Male Ballet Dancers of 2024’. ‘Our Times’ is superfluous and gives the wrong impression. In that case it is very interesting to watch and there is some excellent dancing. But as I and practically everyone else said, Kimin Kim is in a class of his own. Thanks for the extra dancing by him! 👏👏
Wow!!!! Todos admirables ❤ Bravos!!!
I liked number 3 and 4 the most.
I think Aran Bell from American Ballet Theater is missing.
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Daniil Simkin!
what is wrong with you people? He picked dancers that he likes. What is all this where is this person, where is that person. These are his choices. Be respectful.
You are not allowed to do that. You can only like the same as me. 😑
Thank you 🙏🙏
All the masculine side of the beautiful art of beauty and elegance
Couldn't agree more!
Where do you put Roberto Bolle?
In my bed.
Roberto Bolle i Is missing
They are very good dancers! What about the great Isaac Hernandez????
Watch Angel Corelli dance The Bronze Idol
Saludos
Hecho👍
The Don Quixote music reminds me the very funny Matthew Bourne ballet with Adam Cooper and ensemble doing men in vests and pants posing in ads' and strutting about trying to outdo each other. It's hilarious, and a great send up of serious ballet.
Oooh ballet humor!
You might like the channel “ballet reign!” They just made a video about the “mistake waltz.“
There is also a fabulous piece available on UA-cam named “Ballet Magnifique - Ballet gone bad” on the channel “Lauren Wisdom.”
Enjoy! 🙏💜🩰
They are all quite wonderful but Osiel Gouneo really caught my eye. Less inclined to acrobatics but very gounded; lots of gravitas. And I haven't seen thighs like that on a dancer since Hector Mercado at the Ailey decades ago. Bravi all!
Ivan Vasiliev
why was jim nowakowski not included
