The Denver Nuggets made their first Finals appearance and got their first championship in 47 years of existence in the NBA, now we have the Texas Rangers after 62 years and both teams did it in the same year
It’s bittersweet for me. Sweet because I got to see my team win and finally get the last out. Bitter because my grandpa, a lifelong Rangers fan, died before he got to see it. I can only hope he’s celebrating up in heaven. Love ya Papa, your boys finally did it.

Same, my dad passed from cancer last year and watched this team year after year come up short. I wore his Josh Hamilton jersey he owned last night out to the bar to bring a piece of him with us to watch them win. I know they're celebrating up there
The Montreal Canadiens captured their 24th Stanley Cup in 1993 by amassing 10 OT wins. However, the Texas Rangers and their road dominance surpasses that feat.
@@thedude3065 I see similarities to the 2007 New York Giants en route to capturing Super Bowl XLII in 2008. Some may even call the Rangers a team of destiny.
As a life long Rangers fan, I busted out into tears on that last strike, after all the years of heartbreak, it finally happened. It still doesn’t feel real to me
I couldn’t believe it, still kinda choked up and can’t believe it. Really glad this team came through. This win is for all those fans who didn’t make it to see us finally win it all.
You and me both. after that last strike out I droped on my knees and was crying on top of my rangers world series hoodie and playing celbration music at the same time knowing at I finally got to see the Texas Rangers win the World series.
2011 was devastating as a fan. I honestly didn't know if I'd have the chance to see my team in the WS again let alone win it. Last night was historical. I can finally say the pain of 2011 is over
As a rangers and cowboys fan born in the early 90s, I’ve only ever felt defeat and heartache in sports. The rangers winning the World Series is a feeling that I never thought I’d experience. Being a true and loyal fan of champions is truly something else. Congratulations Rangers
Arlintonite born in 91. The only two championships I have memories of were the 98 Stars and the 2011 Mavericks. I was alive for the 92, 93, and 95 Cowboys Superbowl wins, but I have no memories of them
@@MediocriticalI'm in a similar situation (born in '90). I definitely remember the Cowboys being awesome, but when you're that young, you just take it in stride and don't really appreciate it, plus most of my family are Cowboy haters haha. Same with the Stars back then, though I do remember my uncle being a big enough fan that I picked up on the hype a little. The 2011 Mavs were huge for me, as I had been a pretty hardcore fan since the 01-02 season and had suffered though '06 and '07 as well as all the years of getting "little brothered" by the Spurs. But this Rangers title, man... it just hits WAY different (especially after experiencing 2011-style heartbreak personally as a soccer coach). After 2010-2011, an era that was so fun to be a fan in, it just felt like we blew the closest shot we'd ever have. If we couldn't get it done with that squad, a squad who won back to back pennants, we wouldn't get it done for a long, long time. Never been so glad to be wrong. It still feels like we're living in an alternate timeline haha
As a neutral baseball fan, I watched the celebration with a huge smile and almost had tears in my eyes. It feels good watching a Legacy of Failure end.
As a Rangers fan, this feels amazing. Over a decade of holding onto the back to back heartbreak, years of being a bottom feeder, just being disappointed year after year while the Astros kept winning. I just kept thinking the Rangers were never going to win it all. It doesn’t feel real still. The Texas Rangers are finally champions!
This was a very fun post season. As a Phillies fan, I'm disappointed we didn't go all the way but seeing the Rangers finally win their first World Series was pretty cool.
I feel the same as you. It's been fun seeing the Phillies on a roll in the post season. It doesn't look like there'll be signs of stopping. Despite Philadelphia not making it to the World Series, seeing the Texas Rangers finally win it all is ultra satisfying. They deserved it.
Being a younger fan watching the 2010, 2011, and 2015 series, I’ve only known pain. David Freese and Jose Bautista would haunt my nightmares. But this team slayed the demon. It’s like a weight is off my shoulders. It’s not happiness. It’s relief. Thanks for making me cry. Love you Tree.
That 2011 loss stung the most, and still stings a bit. It should have been them. It should have been those men that were able to summit the mountain and bring glory to DFW and Texas as a whole.
Also Tree thank you for including Eric Nadel's call. He's been front row to most of the Ranger futility and seen a lot of bad baseball. He deserves this win more than anybody. I had tears of happiness when I first heard the call because you can hear the pain, the sadness, and happiness in his voice. Also Hello Win Column and Hello World Series. Much love guys in gonna have a good sports cry now.
Been a fan of this team since I was an infant, back in 1995. Loved this team when they were at their worst, with the worst A-Rod contract imaginable. Supported this team during their 2010 heyday, and had my heart broken and hope stolen countless times. Fell away due to personal issues and battles with depression, only to come back this year after my life has gotten back on track and... Oh my god.
@@fromulus My first vivid memory is of a Rangers game. I might've been like one or two or something, I don't fucking know, but the point is I've been a fan since childhood.
Similar experience to me. I'm 28, grew up going to Rangers games in 100 degree heat during summers off from school, ended up falling off the wagon after the heartbreak of 2011 and focusing only on hockey. Finally started watching again this playoffs and it was oh, so sweet.
I’m not even a Rangers but I’m so happy for them, they went a hell of a historic playoff run and it ended on the highest note possible. Cue Higher by Creed! ⚾️😄⚾️
As a cards fan, it’s about damn time. Congratulations to the rangers. You deserved it more than any team that hasn’t won one yet. The list gets smaller.
I'm a Blue Jays fan, and I still remember 2015 and 16 fondly. But I'm happy for the Rangers. This year was just something special. This video gave me chills. Can't imagine all that weight finally lifting off Rangers fans. Congrats to you guys!
As a St. Louis Blues fan, I know how the wait felt. But the years of agony only make the victory sweeter. Congrats, Rangers. You're in the history books now.

@@Tornado1994 absolutely, the giants were definitely the better team in 2010. I meant it more along the lines of people who never saw this year only would have only thought 2010 and 2011 were the peak of Rangers baseball.

As a Texas Rangers fan since I was a little kid I remember 2010 and 2011 so vividly and all the pain that came with it afterwards. Watching the Astros win a title kept adding to that pain and I genuinely thought we would never see a championship but thankfully in 2023 BABY WE DID IT!!!
Same. Ive been a fan since the I should tie shoe laces in the late 80's. To finally see a championship after so many years of suffering and being an Also ran team. It tears at my heart that they finally did it.
Okay, I didn't cry at all last night, but this brought me to tears. I was only a Rangers fan for 14 of their 63 years history, but this was so gratifying! I can't imagine how those that have been around since the consecutive 100-loss seasons in the 1970s are feeling. Congratulations to Rangers fans everywhere!
Same here but a fan since I can remember. Seeing the painful clips (most of them which I didn't even know/remember) and then seeing this post season's clips, man.
As a fan of a fellow AL West team with a LoF, congrats to the Texas Rangers on ending the drought. There's absolutely nothing like winning the title for the first time
As a Rangers fan, I can't think of anything that would have done the moment more justice than this video that you've put together. There's a parade planned and all those trappings scheduled for what'll be today in 5 minutes, but this three minute video hit so hard and was everything I would've wanted to see about this World Series: The half-century long build-up, only to have to try again a dozen years later. If I'm going to be frank... it's still settling in that the Rangers finally won it all... I feel like I should be waiting for game 6 right now...
Just a Rockies fan passing through, that genuinely brought tears to my eyes. Congrats to any Rangers fans that have lived through all of the suffering and heartaches! You've done it! 2023 World Series champs forever! "How can you not be romantic about baseball?"
I became a fan the year they started their stretch of mediocrity in 2017. I’ve seen what this fanbase has been through. I felt like the Rangers would never reach the summit after 2021. But these boys proved everyone wrong. It still feels like a dream nearly 18 hours after the last out was recorded. And I don’t want to wake up. Nothing can take this awesome moment from me. They did it.
Giants fan here, Bochy is the real deal. He wins everywhere he goes, he led the Padres of all teams to a pennant. I thought Bochy would make them a playoff team this year, even I never saw this coming. Congrats Rangers, my hats off to you.
Bochy is close to Joe Torre, in one of the GREATEST MLB Managers of all time. We Giants got THREE Beautiful Crowns in a 4 Year Period in each of the Even years during the early and mid 2010s. Bochy has a Medias Touch and I'm glad he delivered for the Rangers.
When Garcia hit that walk off in Game 1 on the same day as "We will see you tomorrow night", I knew the Rangers were destined to win it all, the baseball gods have finally smiled upon us.
There were quite a few similarities beyond just the walkoff homer. Freese's first dagger was in the 9th inning as a 2 run RBI, Seager had his 2 run tying home run in the 9th. Adolis also had an extremely acrobatic catch in game 1 that would have gotten that last out in 2011.
This video made me Shed a few tears The road to get hear, is humility. The pain and suffering along the way. To finally reach the top, well done rangers.
Dbacks fan here. I’m definitely upset we lost, but I’m so happy for the Rangers regardless. 63 years of failure finally ends for that franchise. Hope there’s more to come from both of our teams
DBacks, Keep CHERISHING 2001. Don't forget how you guys STOPPED the Evil Empire's Dotcom Era Reign of Terror in a HISTORICAL World Series Upset like no other. You guys are rebuilding. You'll get there again.
I think game 1 was the only memorable game out of this series, the story behind it for the Rangers is great but outside of that the world series was mostly meh
OH DEAR GOD! Does this mean the Bengals are next. As a fan of a rival, especially the one they most likely have to go through in the AFC North to get to the Super Bowl, I don't want to believe that.
As a Cardinals fan, ever since we won the 2011 World Series I have been rooting for the Rangers on the sidelines. I felt bad for the Rangers because I understood how truly devastating that lost might have weighed on their fans. This was well earned. Respect the Texan.
If anyone else is wondering the music is Time by Hans Zimmer, and it's so fitting. Ever since 2011, it seemed like the Rangers would never get here, stuck in a loop of that loss, but they finally broke free. Proud to wear my Texas Rangers patches.
As a Rangers fan who was introduced to this team in 2023, thank you for your support! And congrats to the Braves on 2021! It seems as this Rangers World Series run is almost similar to that of the Braves 2 years ago.

Thank you. You have to understand, Rangers social media, the fanbase. All throughout this playoff run you kept hearing "2011", "Game 6", "One strike away", "2 outs 2 strikes"; 2011 left the entire fanbase with trauma. I don't know of there's something comparable in other sports. After last night that pain is gone. The highlights of game 6 don't hurt. It's just an incredible feeling of elation and sweetness. Honestly a hard World Series to be bummed about because both teams had something to cheer for. I don't care for the Rangers and was cheering for the Snakes but as a Giants fan I can be happy to see Bochy solidify his legacy even further, to see the best pitcher of the late 2010s get a ring, to see the criminally underrated Marcus Semien get a ring and maybe have a foot in the door for a HoF legacy, there's guys all over to root for.

Something about these videos, the ones that truly show the pain and futility of being a fan of your favorite team, showing the pain and misery of cheering for a team with little success, and finally being rewarded for it with the title must be euphoric. Congratulations to the Texas Rangers win their first ever World Series. Also hats off to Bruce Bochy coming back to once again manage another team to their first World Series. He did it with the San Francisco Giants back in 2010 against the same team he beat and now helped win their first championship in franchise history.
they also won it on the same day (11/1), won the same amount of games in the regular season + playoffs (103), and now have the same amount of playoff wins that the SF Giants had between 1958-2010 (34).
I didnt think I would cry. One of my last conversations with my grandmama was her telling me that my grandpa got us tickets to see them back in 2011. The 2010s were rough after we had multiple post seasons failures. I even saw the rise of the Astros. Seeing them win was bitter sweet. But now, I finally get to see my favorite baseball team win it all, even after it seemed like they couldn’t win anything last year. This year, I get to say I’m PROUD to be a Rangers fan. Victory has never been sweeter
I don’t even like baseball and I’m from NYC, but this made me emotional. Using the theme from my favorite movie definitely played a part in that. I also respect that there was no voiceover, because nothing you could say here would tell the story as well as the emotion of the fans and players does.
As a Giants fan, I saw the emotion from my dad in 2010 when San Fran won it for the first time since the 50s. After that he told me he’d root for the Rangers and any other teams we beat in the World Series knowing how it felt in 1989 and 2002 to lose to the As and Angels. Seeing Bochy win his 4th with specifically the Rangers is so poetic to me, and I congratulate all Rangers fans who see this. I’ve always felt a good coach is more important than a star player, and Bochy proved that with Texas. Maybe the Giants getting Bob Melvin could produce a similar boost in production. I can only hope.
I am a Lifelong Giants Fan like you. I HATE the Cardinals, Hate the As(Because I KNOW they Roided up like Crazy in 1989, that was OUR World Series) and I HATE Tony LaRussa with a Fiery passion. 2002 deflated me for so long and made me despondent when Dusty fell short in delivering us the Crown.(Which is why I was happy he did it for the Astros in 2022) But 2010 lifted my Spirits. I was a 27 year old at the lowest point of my entire life and it felt good seeing the Giants win it all. 2012 took me completely by Surprise and the NLCS was a Joy to watch as we AVENGED the Rangers by kicking the Cards asses. 2014 also brought me elation. Bochy worked his magic in 2023. He's got a Medias Touch. Those Three Rings we got are proof of that.
Never thought a Tree vid would bring me to tears, but here we are Thanks for including Eric Nadel's call here. He's been calling games for us on the radio since 1979 and was starting to think he'd never see it happen in his lifetime
We live in an amazing time for sports. We got to see the Cubs and Red Sox break their curses after 100 years. The Capitals, Seahawks, Eagles, Golden Knights, Nuggets, and now the Rangers join the list of teams that got their first championship. What a time to be alive for sports.

Or it may come 3 times in 6 years... we do have Bochy..lol. You're right though. I was at game 4 in 2010 and my heart hurt leaving the stadium that night. Baseball is such a LONG grind... you just never know
Words can't express the emotions i felt last night seeing us finally capture a title. 2011 will always hurt. But it hurts that much less now. The failure is over, the Rangers are champions!
Love this video, Tree! Reminds me of your Blues video after they won their first Cup. They really earned this one and worked their asses off for this championship! I am very very happy for the Texas Rangers!
Been a fan since I was a little kid when my grandma used to work for them. Now being 21 and seeing my favorite baseball team finally win it all was absolutely amazing. I remember watching those 2 back-to-back world series we lost being so heartbroken and now WE CAN FINALLY SAY WE DID IT! LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!
It'll add to the Cowboys 5 championships, Stars and Mavericks 1 championship. All 4 Dallas franchises has championships and 3 of them after the Cowboys last win in 96.
This video made me tear up. I was 12/13 when the rangers lost back to back years in the WS and I was the biggest fan as a kid. Seeing these clips really brings back the heart break. Glad our boys finally got one!!
As a kid, those two teams felt so different and so surreal. It was truly heartbreaking seeing the likes of Kinsler, Hamilton, Napoli, Beltre, and Andrus and how they came up just short. At the time, it felt like they HAD to be the team to break the curse. And to a certain extent they were. Being the first team to win a playoff series and make it to the WS. But to come up short was nothing short of gut wrenching.
Bochy is on another level, 5 world series appearances and 4 rings with 3 different teams. His SF Giants dynasty already cemented his legacy but this elevates it higher
From a boy of 12 who started following the Texas Rangers in 1988, thank you for this short and sweet video. All the futile seasons, all of the heartaches and crushing defeats in the playoffs, have now been finally put to rest, and this fan can cheer for his champions.
Bruce Bochy is the *Droughtbuster:* he helped the Giants win their first World Series title since 1954 along with their first World Series title in San Francisco, and he helped the Texas Rangers win their first World Series after 62 years of existence.

2011 was devastating as a fan. I honestly didn't know if I'd have the chance to see my team in the WS again let alone win it. Last night was historical. I can finally say the pain of 2011 is over
Right with you brother. 2011 doesn’t hurt as much any more. I can at least look at the footage when I looked at compilations at what not.
I was alive for the 92, 93, and 95 Cowboys Superbowl wins, but I have no memories of them
Same her, except I was born 98.

But now, I finally get to see my favorite baseball team win it all, even after it seemed like they couldn’t win anything last year. This year, I get to say I’m PROUD to be a Rangers fan. Victory has never been sweeter
We used to own the Astros too before they got good again.
As a Rangers fan this moment will now be in my heart for life
I don’t even like baseball and I’m from NYC, but this made me emotional.
Never thought a Tree vid would bring me to tears, but here we are
Thanks for including Eric Nadel's call here.
Don't forget the Astros in 2022.
@@karlsingleton6115that was their first world series win without cheating. their technical first win was 2017.
don’t forget the blues and raptors in 2019 too.
I remember the Congrats, Blues video and the emotions that carried for me. It's something special to finally win after being a hard-luck team for so many years.
From a Cardinals fan, congrats Rangers. You earned it.
As a Giants fan, treasure these moments Ranger fans. It may never come again...
Or it may come 3 times in 6 years... we do have Bochy..lol. You're right though. I was at game 4 in 2010 and my heart hurt leaving the stadium that night. Baseball is such a LONG grind... you just never know
@@mj21576 Rangers Odd Year Magic.
My uncle was a scout for the rangers and cardinals in the 90s.
Glad I got to see both win championships.
Not even a rangers fan, but damn did this video bring a tear to my eye. Well done, tree, and thank you
Words can't express the emotions i felt last night seeing us finally capture a title. 2011 will always hurt. But it hurts that much less now. The failure is over, the Rangers are champions!
2011 hurts no more!
For all of those who are no longer with us after 2011. This one's for all of you
As a St. Louis Blues fan, 2019 felt this way too. It's been 4 years and it still feels surreal
As a Rangers fan, the only regret I have about this season is we finally did it, but without Adrian Beltre. The man deserved a ring.
At least he is now a Hall of Famer
it also hurts to win without ron washington.
Love this video, Tree! Reminds me of your Blues video after they won their first Cup. They really earned this one and worked their asses off for this championship! I am very very happy for the Texas Rangers!
I hope someday to see a similar video for the Lions soon. Congrats Rangers. Always good to see that first big win for any team.
I’m an Angels fan but to Texas. I’m happy for ya kings. Ya earned it
Thanks
Proud of the Rangers! A Championship of some degree finally comes to Dallas!
Thank you, Tree. I've been a Texas Rangers fan since I was 2 years old. I've been waiting for this a long time (:
Bochy is on another level, 5 world series appearances and 4 rings with 3 different teams. His SF Giants dynasty already cemented his legacy but this elevates it higher
He's our Modern era Joe Torre!
From a boy of 12 who started following the Texas Rangers in 1988, thank you for this short and sweet video. All the futile seasons, all of the heartaches and crushing defeats in the playoffs, have now been finally put to rest, and this fan can cheer for his champions.
The montage before this years World Series highlights, is why this is so satisfying for myself and fellow Rangers fans.
Bruce Bochy is the *Droughtbuster:* he helped the Giants win their first World Series title since 1954 along with their first World Series title in San Francisco, and he helped the Texas Rangers win their first World Series after 62 years of existence.
Bochy is our King Medias!
As a Rangers fan who was 8-9 years old in 2010 and 2011 and turned 21 about a month before the World Series began, it’s nice to feel pride in the franchise I grew up watching in the stadium and at home. Normally I’m more of a football fan, but the last time the Cowboys won the Super Bowl, I wasn’t born yet. Congratulations, Rangers. Thank you for showing me what true pride feels like.
Yeah it's a similar story for me however I was 10 and 11 when we had the back-to-back appearances turned 23 just before we got to the World Series
A Dbacks fan. Watching the WS, the Rangers simply wanted it more. They played better. Congrats to them.
Showing all the lowlights building up to them finally winning the World Series for the first time gave me chills tbh and I’m not even a Rangers fan. Congrats Texas!
Not gonna lie, as a near lifelong Rangers fan, this video brought some tears to my eyes. Thank you for this video.
Thank you tree for this, I’m a long suffering rangers fan and this felt so cathartic to finally erase decades of ineptitude and failure
This made me cry no Bs. We’ve been through so much, it’s such a blessing to be here. God bless the Texas Rangers, THIS IS WHAT WINNING FEELS LIKE!!
And all it took was investing $800 million. ;)
Tree, you’re the first video I’ve watched of anything 2011 related since it happened.
As a lifelong Rangers fan (in my 40’s), I want to thank you for this video.
Last night was the greatest sports moment of my life, and I feel like you’ve summarized my journey to it very well.
This truly is the summit. World Series Champions. I can watch the old misery now, and be ok with it.
Thanks.
As a Astros fan, congrats Rangers. You deserved it.
