As a hand embroiderer, I always appreciate every detailed aspect of a finished piece. From the various colors thread people choose to use, stitching patterns, no one piece is ever the same.
However, there was one thing that always bothered me, the back. No matter how nice an embroidered product turned out to be, the back ALWAYS was always a mess.
As a semi-perfectionist, the back always bothered me. Therefore, I decided to create a pleasant and affordable frame that would not ONLY make it easy to hang and display one’s finished product, but it would also “HIDE THE BACK MESS”. And besides the frame itself, all you need would be a Philips screwdriver.
Made from various wood grained plywood, my creation would not only add a subtle border to the front of the product, but it would also cover the sides, and the back. This light frame with a D-ring attached on the back also makes it very easy and safe to hang up wherever you’d like. And yes, you can re-use the frame by simply removing the screws, and swapping the next piece you would like to display.
Attached to the back side of the frame, I’ve also included a piece of felt on a chipboard that would help bring out your creation by decreasing the amount of wrinkles and filling it.
