I have the f1 mainframe, vapor 2500, and 2 batwings. Used it in montana this spring and loved it. Super comfy and held everything i needed.
I took my F1 with 2 batwings out west last year (pronghorn). It’s a great system. My only wish is that Eberlestock would create a smaller pack (Bandit sized or a smaller Vapor) that could not only mount directly to the F1, but also be used as a standalone day-pack. A couple other brands do, or used to do, this.
You can put the Bandit or the Switchblade on the F1 with just the use of two of our standard Hook Up Kits!
I like my F1 Mainframe combined with the F7 Kite 🪁 and I also got the Vapor 7500 on clearance but haven’t tried it yet outside of trying to fill it up and wearing it around. I was going to use the Vapor for my Wyoming mule hunt and Kite for pronghorn this year but sadly unless I win a hunt giveaway I won’t be going out west on a hunt. Hopefully 2024 will be my first year out west with a tag 🏷️ in my pocket and not just a tag a long like I was in Idaho back in 2019.

I hope they offer the belt for other packs. I have the main frame and the larger padded belt. The belt is long over do for upgrades.
We do! We have our Standard, Padded, and Long Padded Hipbelts!
so glad they've updated the lid design, the old lids connection was a sloppy joke.
Any news on when the new vapor packs will be available? Also, was the mainframe updated or will I be okay with the current one that is available?
They need to put the team elk belt tensioner onto the padded belt for the F1. IMO the standard straps and belts should only go out on day packs not on the mainframe. if you are buying a frame pack you are going to be hauling wieght, kinda nuts to have to drop another 80-100 right off the bat to get a useable pack frame IMO. The standard straps and belts are ok up to 50-60lbs but for 80-100lbs they are miserable, much better with the padded options. Just a bummer to have to drop that coin right off the bat. Come on Eberlestock, make it a standard upgrade for a nominal fee. Better sternum strap connectors as well. Otherwise, solid platform

But their internal pocket layout and structure is subpar. I wish I could talk to their head project manager. I got some ideas that would revolutionize the pack industry and make him millions
