Real change on what was rather gross and gruesome. Well done you. It might be an idea to try finer paper on the beautiful carvings. It may take a lot longer but you’d be surprised with the outcome !! At least this way it won’t get so dusty…lol…
When you attacked those carvings with what looked like 40 grit paper on of all things an orbital sander I felt like my own sensitive skin was being scratched off. The end product did not look too bad but it might have been better if you had spent more time and sanded the carvings with a finer grit by hand. But each to their own I suppose.
I’m a female DIYer when I was a lot younger. Just looking at his skin colour I feel he’s not got the ability to get or have the correct tools. This person is truly trying to do things the best way he can. His skills may leave you cringing or whatever but give him a chance. He could be in need of extra money and utilising what he has or can borrow. He has certainly taken one ( slightly bad worded comment into account ) comment and washed this one. I’m 72 now and I made mistakes. Are you squeaky clean or do you admit to mistakes too?? Give him a damn chance or don’t watch please.!!
