As a Spider-Man fanatic, I can't tell you how cool this video was to watch. It definitely inspired me to get some more Spider-Man figures and I even learned some stuff. Thanks man.
7:36 actually that figure is from Ultimate Spider-man. The way to tell is that his arms are mostly the blue part of his costume rather than him having the traditional arm webbing which ends at the shoulders
Those sculpts still epic up to todays standard... Toybiz people are still ahead of its time.. I hope Hasbro/Toybiz still has these tooling and hoping they would re offer it again to mass market..
I agree - this was an era where Toy Biz was willing to try very different things with sculpt and articulation. They were able to create toys that appealed to kids, but still served the collector community - a fantastic time!
@@CarbonScoring Yes sir.. Toybiz Spiderman is a masterpiece to us collectors in toy design, sculpt and engineering it is really a part of our action figure evolution. And still hoping they could still remake those figures because us collectors would definitely buy them.. I truly appreciate your collection sir..
6:56 I always thought that the Humberto Ramos spidey drawings always looked more like deadpool especially in the eyes, like Humberto would draw spidey with white eyes which to me has always reminded me of deadpool
3:27, if this figure came around the 2008 mark, it's pretty obvious that its look was inspired from the Spider-Man: Web of Shadows game. First thing I thought of after seeing it in the thumbnail was " Yo, that's the freaking Web of Shadows suit!!!"
@@CarbonScoring please do, no other Spider-Man game even came close to its quality until Spider-Man ps4. And the creators of Web of Shadows only had 17 months to finish it. The 2 main suits look great and shiny especially the symbiote one, it has the best combat system in a marvel game easily, the swinging is superfast and stylish and the story is original and exciting. Moreover, theres a lot of characters from the grand marvel universe present in this game too, like wolverine, Luke cage, moon knight, black widow etc.
YOUR MY FAVORITE UA-cam CHANNEL!!! please don’t ever stop 🛑 your so awesome 👏🏻 thank you for making these great videos and teaching us about toy history.
If you were to do a Ramos villan show case you could use that full Ramos figure for his spectacular run, and then that half Ramos figure for his amazing run
I have the flip n zip spidey, which is the one with the big hands. Despite not having the best articulation for a spider-man figure, he is my favorite as a whole just because he is based on Humberto Ramos art and I love how his art for spidey looks
eyyyyyy the Spiderman in 17:3 I actually have and made a video on XD and bro ngl i wish I had your Spiderman collection its super impressive sorry that I'm late couldn't see your vid that much at the time bc of school but now I'm in summer so I'm gonna try to catch up on your channel keep up the great work my guy
10:06 i had NO idea that this figure was rare. i found it at a yard sale when i was about 12 and have always had it sitting on my shelf ever since, simply because of how unique and cool the style is. very cool video!
I just bought the Toybiz Todd McFarland Spider-man (Hasbro) and the 10 inch Spiderman from the Animated series the fully articulated one, thinking about getting the Black suit version of it
I wonder if that boyish Spiderman with the back spider that doesn’t match Bagley’s is supposed to represent Stuart Immonen’s art after Bagley left the Ultimate series. I don’t think he drew the back emblem with the connected legs but he was still very much a skinny kid
I'm starting to look at my Spider-man figures in a different way thanks to your videos. I've heard that the only true McFarlane inspired figure is the first one in the Spider-man Classics line (you can tell by the eyes and chest symbol). And the one that we know as the 'McFarlane' figure is actually based on J Scott Campbell's art. Campbell drew the eyes in a similar fashion to McFarlane but the chest symbol is distinctly his own. Have collectors incorrectly been calling it the 'McFarlane' figure? When you look at that spider symbol, what do you think?
I do think that the Campbell figure is different - he was not in this box but was in another Spidey Mystery box. Not to be overly simplistic, but each of these figures is a melding of different artists take on Spidey - plus, as we could see from JR JR - artist's styles change over time. Bottom line - if it looks like a McFarlane to me, then I'm gonna call it McFarlane!
If you watch my video with the 10,000 Action Figures Thumbnail, you will see my display space is a converted wine cellar that is underground. I did have a water problem down there for many years and some of the figures ended up with mold on them - gross, I know. But I made some changes and installed a dehumidifier down there and it has been great ever since
@@CarbonScoring It doesn’t seem generic since it has very distinct eyes and a very distinct spider symbol, but otherwise I’m not too sure as to what it’s based off of

yeah i think thats what he meant. Good spot !
15:48 this was my first action figure, the one that inspired me to grow my collection. Put its head on the retro wave one, trust me
I’ll give it a try!!!
So was mine! I still have him somewhere, pretty cool regardless of limited articulation
Same dude i have it too
But mine has a neck
Love ultimate spidey. Ultimate spidey 1 is what got me into comics. I have a love for that look as well as other marvel characters. Great video!
I have the 2007 and 2008 spidey and black spidey
Then you are really gonna love the final episode in my Spidey History series when we take a look at the figures from the Ultimate Universe!

Thanks guys - that helps!

he just casually has $500 dollars worth of figures in a singular box.

really wish I could have a super-poseable spidey, they're too expensive, sadly.
I think the most famous action figures are spider man action figures and they are mmy favourite
It's Spidey heaven.

It seems like ToyBiz made some of the best spidermen.
they did.
The spiderman you said was from spiderman unlimited was from the ultimate spiderman show
