People like to say they would get mad if their friends dated their sister but the way I see it if you wouldn't trust your friends dating a relative then you need better friends.

Of course it depended on who they were talking about and if it was someone that I knew not being a great bf (or person in general), but yeah, I’m usually fine with my sisters or cousins being with their partners.
Back in 2018, I was living at a friend's house and one night my friend, her boyfriend and her kids wanted to go see a movie and asked me if I could stay home and babysit some of their youngest kids because one of my other friends girlfriend was drunk and couldn't watch the toddlers by herself.(I hope what I'm saying makes sense). Anyway, I agreed and they went on their way. A few hours later, my drunk friend walks towards me and drunkly says "I like you a lot and you're really cute. You're good at taking care of children and you're so much better and nicer than my boyfriend". She said that while her boyfriend, my other friends and everyone else walked into the house. I was completely dumbfounded because I didn't know how to respond.

Even if you only find that out once you ask that person out. But if you don't ask you decrease your chances significantly. Usually people are charmed when you ask them out, the being called a creep scenario is the exception and then they're not worth it anyway. I was in 10th-11th grade. Her name was Brenda, she was a Brazilian exchange student. I was told after her program was over that she crushed on me hard for the entire time. I was devastated. She was easily one of the most beautiful and kind girls I ever met.
I'm on the other side: I have a coworker who's a good friend, we have a bit in common, even hung out outside of work once (a group thing). I tried hinting to her, but she never seemed to pick up. Back in 2021, it was the end of high school and during graduation I sat next to a girl who I thought was pretty cute. I had actually known her since sophomore year of high school when she started coming to one of my best buds holiday parties. I had liked her for some time but she always had a boyfriend whenever I saw her, so i figured she didn’t want to be with me. One day, however, during sophomore year, we were both walking out of our math class and she immediately greeted her boyfriend who was waiting for her, but the second as I was passing by them they looked like they were going through something serious, I kept on walking. junior year, after school I joined a Salsa team and every time she saw me after school I was always hanging out with this other girl which she was just a student teacher for Salsa. Now during graduation as we finished up and started to head back to the gym to actually get our diplomas I thought to myself, just screw and say it. “ Hey, I see you quite often and wanted to say I thought you were pretty cute and wanna take you out on a date but you always had a boyfriend” something like that. She said that they broke up early in the year of sophomore year. She then replies that she had a crush on me but because I was always practicing with this salsa teacher during junior year of high school she thought I was dating her and never approached me. We both laugh, and I said “Really!? Oh come on what is that luck” she laughed again and just said it probably for a reason and I agreed with her.
the girl that worked at my old gym and i had sort of a thing, people would joke that i was her work husband, in between rounds we would talk, had a lot in common. When I was 14 years old a girl I knew started asking me about a friend of hers. What I would think of her and all of that stuff. My answers were nothing burgers for the most part since I never spoke a word to her. A while later said girl put an arm around me when we happened to sit next to each other by coincidence. I found out some time ago that not one, but two different guys had a crush on me. Apparently one guy (call him A) told another guy (call him C) that he had a crush on me. Turns out C had a crush on me too. A confessed, it took a bit to reject him; I had to think about the fact that someone actually liked me (am I emotionally damaged? Probably). While I was thinking that over, C confessed over text. I dated C for about a week before he said it wasn't working out. It was an interesting time to say the least.

So the way I found out that my current girlfriend had a crush on me is actually fairly odd, so I met her through my best friend of 7 years and at first I thought me and her were just gonna be friends until she gradually started making very flirty jokes towards me and it was made very obvious to our whole friend group that she had a crush on me and just a few weeks after we had met we started dating and we’ve since been together for going on 3 months at the end of this month and I couldn’t be happier
We were sorta friends, I had met him through another friend (A). He was probably the first person from A’s friend group that I really got close. We had technically met before, when we shared a little snark about a universally disliked teacher at our school coming back, but that was about it. I actually had the first crush, but I kept it hidden pretty well because I figured it would be a quick 2-week hyper-crush. That was in mid-January. About 3 months after my crush had started up, he started to give off the signs I had been wanting to give (Awkward staring, before getting caught then bursting into nervous smiles and giggles; more physical with each other; more clumsy; etc). And I returned the signs. We came to this point where we know we had a crush on each other, but didn’t want to make it official because we both suck at those things 🫠. It’s summer, and I don’t have a phone, so we haven’t been able to talk. Hope we can get closer next year, friendship or relationships or whatever the future has hold for us.
My classmate who i was friends with told me they liked someone in our class and told me to guess who it was. So i eventually named everyone except myself to which I got the answer of no each time. I was asked to be “The Best Man” when a close friend married. The wedding was in the home town of the Bride some 2,000 miles away. I flew over and attended the Wedding, it was a great night, I was partnered with one of the brides girlfriends. I stayed in the town for 2 weeks and went places with the girl, beach, night club, National Park and to a party. I then flew home. Fast forward about 5 years I had dinner with my friend and his Wife and his Wife told me the girl had been “carrying a torch” for me for the last 5 years. Fast forward another few years, I visited my friend (they lived in another state) to be told the girl was still carrying a torch for me. I was continually puzzled, the girl was so far out of my league. My friends wife kept “updating” me about her and apparently she kept updating the girl about me, remember we lived in towns 2,000 miles apart. A bit over 8 years after the Wedding I visited the girls home town on business, it never occurred to me to think of the girl, she turned up at my hotel, my friends wife had “updated” her about my visit and where I was staying. The girl was even more spectacular than I remembered, we had a drink and chatted, we had dinner and arranged to meet the next evening after I completed my business. The girl took me to a pub, at the pub were many of her friends and their partners, I was surprised, they knew my name, had a basic biography of me and referred to me as “the secret lover”. It eventuated the girl had remained single over the 8 years since the wedding, apparently celibate, fending off all advances by saying she had a boyfriend! Later the girls brother turned up at the pub, by this time I was truly creeped out and just waiting out the evening to leave. The brother got in my ear about the girl, virtually pleaded with me to give her a “chance” and “try” a relationship, he said words to the effect of “if you don’t at least give her a chance I’m afraid that will mean she will be single the rest of her life”. I extended my stay by a week, asked her to take a week off work, we did everything that could be done in that town, went everywhere, travelled up and down the coast. At the end of the week I asked her if she would consider moving across the country and she told me she could never “leave her family”. I returned home and by chance a few weeks later was “head hunted” by a company and moved overseas. My friend and his wife visited me overseas, the wife updated me again, the girl was still single, apparently still celibate and still carrying the torch, the wife had been updating her regularly about me. The next year I visited the girls home town on business and called her, we met for drinks and had a meal, if anything she was more spectacular, she updated me about her career, which was thriving (she was a very well known media person in her home town). I told her what I was doing, described my life, described the home I’d bought and what I thought I would do in the next few years. She asked if I’d consider a long distance relationship, if she visited me twice a year and I visited her twice a year (both minimums). Me, being the cautious type, asked if she would agree to put it in writing, surprisingly she agreed. I went home, engaged lawyers to draw up an agreement valid in both countries, she got lawyers, we each signed the agreement. Neither of us contemplated the obvious, she got pregnant with twins the first time she visited me!
So she started to like me and then we started to talk. I developed a crush on her but wasn’t sure she had one on me, despite being repeatedly told she did. We are now almost dating.
My lonely ass sitting here trying to learn more on how to spot someone who has a crush on me or approach whoever is my crush correctly. Never had any, but just so that I'm prepared in case cupid does not agree on how I want to spend the rest of my life in peace (alone in my forge).

In Highschool, I was in a Algebra class that was mixed between 10th,11th and 12th grade students. There was this hot 12th grade girl who also happened to be in the varsity cross-country team. I was in the JV Cross-country team, I always tried to chat her up when I could after class and at some meets. And Im positive she got the memo because she then approached me in front of the boys running team with her friend and they were asking about me. Me and her started moving stuff back to the bus. Safe to say I was good at initiating conversation and a tall / attractive enough 10th grader to make her reciprocate. But I had Zero game and too introverted to make her my girlfriend. After the Fall semester, she passed the Algebra 1 class and Cross Country season ended. She was the hot silent type so I never got to ask her on a date. I never explicitly told her I had a crush on her, but I’m positive she knew, I just never made the move 🤦

3 girls in total had a crush on me which is absolutely baffling seeing my personality and looks. Way back in the last year of primary school there was this girl which was very introverted, I didn’t really pay much attention to her because back then i was interested in someone else. Then school ended and we went to 2 different high schools after that and she eventually confessed over text that she liked me, back then I still didn’t really feel the same way but i didn’t want to hurt her feelings so we kept texting as friends. I needed to go home-schooling because of the virus, throughout all of the year I almost never talked to any of my classmates. When I came back to the next year, some of my classmates told me a certain boy has been asking my friends where am I, how long will I be homeschooled and when will I come back. When someone trash-talked about me to the teacher when I was gone he defended me, and it appeared he secretly asked one of the teachers to make him sit with me. He was enthusiastic about me returning to the school, and he always tried getting my attention. I left the school after finishing that year, and had a crush on another person, but he was nicer than most people I have been classmates with.

In 6th grade I had feelings for this girl in my class. We were good friends and I thought she was into me, but being the (somewhat) sane person I am I thought it better to not weird her out in the case she wasn’t. Well she got a boyfriend and I got a girlfriend, and she randomly said one day “I used to have the biggest crush on you” biggest face palm of my life.
I saw the clues and found out she had a crush on me after she repeatedly stared at me with the swooning look. I then told her 'if i search up why you're staring at me, and one of the responses is that you have a crush on me, i was right' because i kept asking if she had a crush on me or if she was just staring. Funny enough, she did, and we dated for three months before things ended when her father was brought in. I still wish he wasn't so controlling, but at the same time, it taught me that some things on certain ends won't go so well on your end Edit: i forgot another time. This was in the second month of my relationship. A girl in my class said she had something for me, and gave a note to me in the halls. I read the note and saw she had wrote 'hey, i know you have a girlfriend, but i kinda have a tiny crush on you. -(insert random girl name)' i also found out that i didn't even try to get them to like me. I just barely looked for a relationship, and somehow i got two people to swoon for me. Weird
I had a crush on him, he friendzoned me. We were still good friends, and if I weren't Olympic champion at gaslighting myself, I would have catched plenty of all kinds of signs that something was off. Fast forward a long time, another lady I knew has a crush on him, confesses and he rejects her. I am messaging with her, discussing her feelings for our mutual friend, and out of the blue she writes that years earlier he was actually into me. As adamant as I was about me being a rejection magnet I just replied "no he didn't". She then proceeded to tell me how he had confessed the whole story to her and admitted to having friendzoned me for... reasons, but it had costed him a lot. By that time I had absolutely gotten over him, but very few times in my life have I felt that bewildered and vulnerable. Why did he tell about us to another girl? Why was she telling me that he had been into me, years later? Thinking of her still creeps me out.

I have a story - I had a friend from high school who I got along with great. We had the same sense of humor, we had natural chemistry, and we cared a lot about each other. I had no idea if they were queer, so I never pursued them, and I kinda went on with my life not really questioning it. Of course, one day we were sitting in the cafeteria with our mutual friends and we made a bunch of jokes relating to awkward situations, and one of our friends blurts out “I mean, *their name* knows exactly what awkward situations are like, it must be so awkward being in love with *my name* and not have started a relationship yet,”. The entire table went silent. The friend who I just learned liked me went beet red, eyes wide open, stiff as a board. I awkwardly turned to them and said “wait, do you actually?” And the friend that made the comment started panicking like “Oh my god, you had no idea? I thought it was obvious how they felt about you!” It was a lot of occasional awkward chuckles and a lot of searching for words. Unfortunately, I had to remind them of the truth (I was in a relationship at the time) and that I was honestly flattered that they liked me because of how great of a person they were, I just couldn’t leave my girlfriend for them. They understood and our friendship resumed as normal until (and a little after) graduation, which was nice compared to a lot of situations where one party has feelings and the other doesn’t that I’ve been in. It’s weird though, especially with how horrendously the relationship with the girlfriend I had been dating ended, to think about what could have been. We might have probably worked out, but I never got a second chance. I’m glad that we were in each other’s lives in other ways, at least.
So, quite recently actually, there was this girl who is my little sister's friend and about a year younger than me. She would come over to mine and my wife's (my then-fianceé, soon to be ex-wife) place fairly often. There was one time she wore a dress that really showed off her figure, gave a twirl and asked me what I thought. I did not pick up on the hint, but I thought she looked good so I told her (also, I don't think my wife was home, otherwise there would have been some issues there lol). We also just sort of hung out and danced to some music while cleaning my place and she also elbow dropped me a few times. Looking back, it was so obvious, but I had never even considered it an option, partially because I'm oblivious, but also because I was engaged. At the wedding, my side was lacking significantly due to several last-minute changes to the wedding, including a venue change that significantly increased travel time for everyone on my side. But there she was, the girl who was still crushing on me. I got a little tip from my sister that she would be willing to stand on my side with me if I asked her. So I asked, and, lo and behold, she happily agreed. But her dress didn't match with the people on my side, so there she was in a dress she had fashioned herself in like 10 minutes from some other clothes she happened to find in her car, just in time for the ceremony. Fast forward about half a year, and I discover my wife was cheating on me. It wasn't until after I found that out and planned to divorce her that I also learned from my sister that her friend had been crushing on me for over a year... but is now seeing someone else...

I have known this girl for 2 years and we had some classes together. We would talk and text all day long almost every day. This year, she acted a little different. I found out by one of my friends coming over during computer science. He said "Hey blank likes you, why don't you go out with her?" In fifth grade, there was this girl on the bus with me who had a crush on me. I didn't know how she came the conclusion but she explained "He texted you at 10 am with a typo, later at 12 pm he texted you again correcting the typo. Which means he has been anticipating your text back and he was checking your chat constantly." I didn't spot that and I was like "That makes a lot of sense yeah". We still talk a lot, we've haven't hung out yet but I hope we do soon lol.
I do have a few stories related to this topic however b4 I tell my stories I wanna say that some ppl are toxic & when you're single they pay you no mind as soon as you have a S.O all of a sudden they want you. Its happened to me a few times that I'm single & im getting no attention from other females but as soon as they find out I gotta gf they come outta nowhere telling me that they always thought I was cute but where to shy to hmu or that they had a bf at the time or thought I had a gf now the saying we should hang out or if it's some1 I know & they got my # theyll start texting me 1 time I had 1 girl send me a booty thong pic then claimed it was by accident & meant for some1 else. Even tho I thought she was lying I'll play along & say oh don't worry about it happens since I figured she expected a different reaction. Not long after I got a message saying that the guy she meant to send it to got the pic & said she had a flat butt 😢. I said that's messed up because I knew she wanted me to say she had a nice butt. Few minutes later she text saying well since you saw it already do you think its flat. I wasn't gonna take the bait & told her I didn't really get a look at it because I erased it rt away outta respect for my gf. She just said oh shes a very lucky girl to have a bf as hot & sweet as you. I ended the convo by saying my gf was calling so I had to go.

In 2022, we went to a birthday party of a common friend, and i told her i used to have a crush on her, and she told me she had one on me too. Sadly, by that time, the crush just died down, and i did nothing about it. Like, you don’t think anyone’s pretty even?” Me: “Not particularly.” Her: *whispering* “Is that so?” Me: “What?” Her: “Oh nothing.” She was smiling and really upbeat for the rest of that call. Colleague and me started talking. I was looking for new friends. I've just accepted no one finds me attractive. But i an fun to be around. Anyways. She was friendly but 9yrs younger than me. Some suggest that this all happened bc she liked me. Well we hung out a few times. Just a friend's. Once she came to the gym with me after work. I sent her home in an uber as i can't drive (vision). I checked the uber to make sure she was home and notice the car was stopped. Then uber sent a message a the car was stopped for awhile. (1.5hrs) i tried calling her to make sure she was OK. Then the trip ended no weird from either. Used the emergency button on uber to summon police (she has epalepsy and has been left due to a seizure before) I got an angry call from her saying they weere just talking well the cops called me too... they werent talking.... good for her, but not on ky dime. Petty perhaps, but i did notify uber and they let me know he had been let go.... She thenndecided to tell everyone that i was starting rumors about her sleeping with the uber. I hadnt said a word. I couldve cared less but i was being charged bc the uber was waiting. So basically she outted herself. So yeah shes still mad at me.

2 stories: In senior year in high school, I was involved in theater. One of the popular girls (conversely, I was nerdy and overweight) never paid me any mind (And I don't remember her name). Of course, she probably heard me say that, and there's a small chance that she might have asked him to get my opinion of her. And IF that is true (and I hope it isn't) then I came across as a complete ass. And I am so sorry. (But it was so so random, people. Not just from him, but it was about HER, as if I was in her league.) But if she liked me and if she had asked me out in person, we could have avoided all that. I would have immediately said yes. Let that be a lesson to us all. Be direct. Or at least get your mutual friend to ask a better question. - - - - - - - - - - - - Second story: I was working at a restaurant while going to college, and I was the go-to trainer for a certain position. I was just minding my own business when a barbie doll walked in. Not really, but that's literally what I thought when the manager brought her over, telling me to train her for that shift (or whatever he said, I wasn't paying attention). A 5'3" blonde barbie come to life. (I was still overweight at this point, but less nerdy) But she (Ana) was out of my league, and she never seemed to hint that she had feelings for me. But as fate would have it, we became fast friends because she would steal other servers' tables (because they would take ten minutes to introduce themselves to the customers) and so very few people liked her. So when the both of us would show up early for work and eat and the employee table, we talked a lot. During work, that eventually turned to innocent flirting, including some very risque jokes from the both us (which should have been my first clue, but she just seemed like that type of person, so you know, Whoosh!). And one day, Ana and a mutual friend of ours--a girl--were eating before work, and we were flirting innocently, or I was, and then Ana got up to start work early and our friend turned to me and was like, "Dude, are you blind?" Well, apparently. Ana later got my phone number, and on my next day off work while I was lounging around watching Game of Thrones, she started texting me. An hour into the conversation, she said she thought she was in In Love With Me! WTFl?! We hadn't even been on a date. Crazy! After the Christmas party, I drove her home, and we talked in the car for an hour and a half before she talked me into kissing her. Huge mistake. I did, then she left and I never heard from her again. By the way, this whole time, she was married. (She got fired right after that, so I shared maybe two sentences with her after that incident, but that was it. No other contact.)
The girl that I had a crush on for years invited me to the graduation party; in hindsight I think she had interest on me since the time I consoled her for her fear of becoming alone, remarking I would be with her (or something like that). Sadly she moved to America a month later (That explains those thoughs. In middle school a girl hanged around me from time to time. One day I had a dentist appointment and forgot to tell anyone at school. I learned later that she had asked where I was and my friends decided to troll her and told her I had moved back to where I came from. Now we need the mystery video. I was in high-school on valentines day, they had a donation thing where you could pay a dollar to get a rose sent to someone. I was the outcast of the school, never really clicked and just didn't care about what others thought of me, yet I was kind and helped those i could. So I'm expecting no flower when all of a sudden I get a white rose. This was out there as white wasn't even an offer to be donated. So I asked my small group of friends, they didn't know. Then asked the teacher who delivered and said she didn't know either. To this day that single white rose takes up a corner of my mind and I wonder from time to time who got it for me and why?

Back in 2018, I was living at a friend's house and one night my friend, her boyfriend and her kids wanted to go see a movie and asked me if I could stay home and babysit some of their youngest kids because one of my other friends girlfriend was drunk and couldn't watch the toddlers by herself.(I hope what I'm saying makes sense). Anyway, I agreed and they went on their way. A few hours later, my drunk friend walks towards me and drunkly says "I like you a lot and you're really cute. She turned me down (she's not presently looking for a relationship) but praised my courage. Back in 2021, it was the end of high school and during graduation I sat next to a girl who I thought was pretty cute. I had actually known her since sophomore year of high school when she started coming to one of my best buds holiday parties. I had liked her for some time but she always had a boyfriend whenever I saw her, so i figured she didn’t want to be with me. One day, however, during sophomore year, we were both walking out of our math class and she immediately greeted her boyfriend who was waiting for her, but the second as I was passing by them they looked like they were going through something serious, I kept on walking. junior year, after school I joined a Salsa team and every time she saw me after school I was always hanging out with this other girl which she was just a student teacher for Salsa. Now during graduation as we finished up and started to head back to the gym to actually get our diplomas I thought to myself, just screw and say it. “ Hey, I see you quite often and wanted to say I thought you were pretty cute and wanna take you out on a date but you always had a boyfriend” something like that. She said that they broke up early in the year of sophomore year. She then replies that she had a crush on me but because I was always practicing with this salsa teacher during junior year of high school she thought I was dating her and never approached me. We both laugh, and I said “Really!? Oh come on what is that luck” she laughed again and just said it probably for a reason and I agreed with her.

When I was 14 years old a girl I knew started asking me about a friend of hers. What I would think of her and all of that stuff. My answers were nothing burgers for the most part since I never spoke a word to her. A while later said girl put an arm around me when we happened to sit next to each other by coincidence. I found out some time ago that not one, but two different guys had a crush on me. Apparently one guy (call him A) told another guy (call him C) that he had a crush on me. Turns out C had a crush on me too. A confessed, it took a bit to reject him; I had to think about the fact that someone actually liked me (am I emotionally damaged? Probably). While I was thinking that over, C confessed over text. I dated C for about a week before he said it wasn't working out. It was an interesting time to say the least.

We were sorta friends, I had met him through another friend (A). He was probably the first person from A’s friend group that I really got close. We had technically met before, when we shared a little snark about a universally disliked teacher at our school coming back, but that was about it. I actually had the first crush, but I kept it hidden pretty well because I figured it would be a quick 2-week hyper-crush. That was in mid-January.
About 3 months after my crush had started up, he started to give off the signs I had been wanting to give (Awkward staring, before getting caught then bursting into nervous smiles and giggles; more physical with each other; more clumsy; etc). And I returned the signs. We came to this point where we know we had a crush on each other, but didn’t want to make it official because we both suck at those things 🫠.
It’s summer, and I don’t have a phone, so we haven’t been able to talk. Hope we can get closer next year, friendship or relationships or whatever the future has hold for us.

My classmate who i was friends with told me they liked someone in our class and told me to guess who it was. So i eventually named everyone except myself to which I got the answer of no each time. My dumbass did not realise that they laughed a bit too hard at all my jokes and went red in the face everytime i talked to them. After a few days they just confessed. Unfortunately i didnt like them that way and we remained friends. (I feel so bad i didnt answer them and basically ignored the confession). A few years later i introduced them to a girl and they started dating so i guess it went fine
So i was friends with this one girl and this other guy she had classes with, and one bro goes up to me with balls of steel while im talking to her and says "yo *insert male name*, *insert female name* has a crush on you. It was so stupid. Later that same guy got a buzz cut during school in front of the entire school so hes just him i guess.
I was asked to be “The Best Man” when a close friend married. The wedding was in the home town of the Bride some 2,000 miles away. I flew over and attended the Wedding, it was a great night, I was partnered with one of the brides girlfriends. I stayed in the town for 2 weeks and went places with the girl, beach, night club, National Park and to a party. I then flew home. Fast forward about 5 years I had dinner with my friend and his Wife and his Wife told me the girl had been “carrying a torch” for me for the last 5 years. Fast forward another few years, I visited my friend (they lived in another state) to be told the girl was still carrying a torch for me. I was continually puzzled, the girl was so far out of my league. My friends wife kept “updating” me about her and apparently she kept updating the girl about me, remember we lived in towns 2,000 miles apart. A bit over 8 years after the Wedding I visited the girls home town on business, it never occurred to me to think of the girl, she turned up at my hotel, my friends wife had “updated” her about my visit and where I was staying. The girl was even more spectacular than I remembered, we had a drink and chatted, we had dinner and arranged to meet the next evening after I completed my business. The girl took me to a pub, at the pub were many of her friends and their partners, I was surprised, they knew my name, had a basic biography of me and referred to me as “the secret lover”. It eventuated the girl had remained single over the 8 years since the wedding, apparently celibate, fending off all advances by saying she had a boyfriend! Later the girls brother turned up at the pub, by this time I was truly creeped out and just waiting out the evening to leave. The brother got in my ear about the girl, virtually pleaded with me to give her a “chance” and “try” a relationship, he said words to the effect of “if you don’t at least give her a chance I’m afraid that will mean she will be single the rest of her life”. I extended my stay by a week, asked her to take a week off work, we did everything that could be done in that town, went everywhere, travelled up and down the coast. At the end of the week I asked her if she would consider moving across the country and she told me she could never “leave her family”. I returned home and by chance a few weeks later was “head hunted” by a company and moved overseas. My friend and his wife visited me overseas, the wife updated me again, the girl was still single, apparently still celibate and still carrying the torch, the wife had been updating her regularly about me. The next year I visited the girls home town on business and called her, we met for drinks and had a meal, if anything she was more spectacular, she updated me about her career, which was thriving (she was a very well known media person in her home town). I told her what I was doing, described my life, described the home I’d bought and what I thought I would do in the next few years. She asked if I’d consider a long distance relationship, if she visited me twice a year and I visited her twice a year (both minimums). Me, being the cautious type, asked if she would agree to put it in writing, surprisingly she agreed. I went home, engaged lawyers to draw up an agreement valid in both countries, she got lawyers, we each signed the agreement. Neither of us contemplated the obvious, she got pregnant with twins the first time she visited me!

In Highschool, I was in a Algebra class that was mixed between 10th,11th and 12th grade students. There was this hot 12th grade girl who also happened to be in the varsity cross-country team. After the Fall semester, she passed the Algebra 1 class and Cross Country season ended. She was the hot silent type so I never got to ask her on a date. Way back in the last year of primary school there was this girl which was very introverted, I didn’t really pay much attention to her because back then i was interested in someone else. Then school ended and we went to 2 different high schools after that and she eventually confessed over text that she liked me, back then I still didn’t really feel the same way but i didn’t want to hurt her feelings so we kept texting as friends. Two years later i think she moved on however i started liking her a little more. Eventually i realized that i started really liking her, it took some guts but i eventually just told her how i felt now and.. it worked out, she’s now my gf now!
I needed to go home-schooling because of the virus, throughout all of the year I almost never talked to any of my classmates. When I came back to the next year, some of my classmates told me a certain boy has been asking my friends where am I, how long will I be homeschooled and when will I come back. When someone trash-talked about me to the teacher when I was gone he defended me, and it appeared he secretly asked one of the teachers to make him sit with me. He was enthusiastic about me returning to the school, and he always tried getting my attention. I left the school after finishing that year, and had a crush on another person, but he was nicer than most people I have been classmates with.

In 6th grade I had feelings for this girl in my class. We were good friends and I thought she was into me, but being the (somewhat) sane person I am I thought it better to not weird her out in the case she wasn’t. Well she got a boyfriend and I got a girlfriend, and she randomly said one day “I used to have the biggest crush on you” biggest face palm of my life.
I saw the clues and found out she had a crush on me after she repeatedly stared at me with the swooning look. I then told her 'if i search up why you're staring at me, and one of the responses is that you have a crush on me, i was right' because i kept asking if she had a crush on me or if she was just staring. Funny enough, she did, and we dated for three months before things ended when her father was brought in. I still wish he wasn't so controlling, but at the same time, it taught me that some things on certain ends won't go so well on your end
Edit: i forgot another time. This was in the second month of my relationship. A girl in my class said she had something for me, and gave a note to me in the halls. I read the note and saw she had wrote 'hey, i know you have a girlfriend, but i kinda have a tiny crush on you. -(insert random girl name)' i also found out that i didn't even try to get them to like me. I just barely looked for a relationship, and somehow i got two people to swoon for me. Weird

I am messaging with her, discussing her feelings for our mutual friend, and out of the blue she writes that years earlier he was actually into me. As adamant as I was about me being a rejection magnet I just replied "no he didn't". She then proceeded to tell me how he had confessed the whole story to her and admitted to having friendzoned me for... reasons, but it had costed him a lot.
By that time I had absolutely gotten over him, but very few times in my life have I felt that bewildered and vulnerable. Why did he tell about us to another girl? Why was she telling me that he had been into me, years later? Thinking of her still creeps me out.

I have a story - I had a friend from high school who I got along with great. We had the same sense of humor, we had natural chemistry, and we cared a lot about each other. I had no idea if they were queer, so I never pursued them, and I kinda went on with my life not really questioning it. Of course, one day we were sitting in the cafeteria with our mutual friends and we made a bunch of jokes relating to awkward situations, and one of our friends blurts out “I mean, *their name* knows exactly what awkward situations are like, it must be so awkward being in love with *my name* and not have started a relationship yet,”. The entire table went silent. The friend who I just learned liked me went beet red, eyes wide open, stiff as a board. I awkwardly turned to them and said “wait, do you actually?” And the friend that made the comment started panicking like “Oh my god, you had no idea? I thought it was obvious how they felt about you!” It was a lot of occasional awkward chuckles and a lot of searching for words. Unfortunately, I had to remind them of the truth (I was in a relationship at the time) and that I was honestly flattered that they liked me because of how great of a person they were, I just couldn’t leave my girlfriend for them. They understood and our friendship resumed as normal until (and a little after) graduation, which was nice compared to a lot of situations where one party has feelings and the other doesn’t that I’ve been in. It’s weird though, especially with how horrendously the relationship with the girlfriend I had been dating ended, to think about what could have been. We might have probably worked out, but I never got a second chance. I’m glad that we were in each other’s lives in other ways, at least.
So, quite recently actually, there was this girl who is my little sister's friend and about a year younger than me. She would come over to mine and my wife's (my then-fianceé, soon to be ex-wife) place fairly often. There was one time she wore a dress that really showed off her figure, gave a twirl and asked me what I thought. I did not pick up on the hint, but I thought she looked good so I told her (also, I don't think my wife was home, otherwise there would have been some issues there lol). We also just sort of hung out and danced to some music while cleaning my place and she also elbow dropped me a few times. Looking back, it was so obvious, but I had never even considered it an option, partially because I'm oblivious, but also because I was engaged. At the wedding, my side was lacking significantly due to several last-minute changes to the wedding, including a venue change that significantly increased travel time for everyone on my side. But there she was, the girl who was still crushing on me. I got a little tip from my sister that she would be willing to stand on my side with me if I asked her. So I asked, and, lo and behold, she happily agreed. But her dress didn't match with the people on my side, so there she was in a dress she had fashioned herself in like 10 minutes from some other clothes she happened to find in her car, just in time for the ceremony.
Fast forward about half a year, and I discover my wife was cheating on me. It wasn't until after I found that out and planned to divorce her that I also learned from my sister that her friend had been crushing on me for over a year... but is now seeing someone else...

I was in 6th grade at the time, and we were getting ready for band to move to the gym (for our first concert, we have to practice in the gym at the time because we were playing there at the concert) and when I grabbed my trumpet out of my locker, I saw a note. It was a love letter asking me out and it was my huge crush/best friend. I was ecstatic. Sadly, we broke up but to this day we are still best friends.

In fifth grade, there was this girl on the bus with me who had a crush on me. We still talk a lot, we've haven't hung out yet but I hope we do soon lol.
I do have a few stories related to this topic however b4 I tell my stories I wanna say that some ppl are toxic & when you're single they pay you no mind as soon as you have a S.O all of a sudden they want you. Few minutes later she text saying well since you saw it already do you think its flat. I wasn't gonna take the bait & told her I didn't really get a look at it because I erased it rt away outta respect for my gf. She just said oh shes a very lucky girl to have a bf as hot & sweet as you. I ended the convo by saying my gf was calling so I had to go.

Colleague and me started talking. I was looking for new friends. I've just accepted no one finds me attractive. But i an fun to be around. Anyways. She was friendly but 9yrs younger than me. (33m, 24-25f) Talking to my brother about it. He asked if i could see myself with her. I said maybe. But then i got to know her more and she was far too immature for my choice in partner. But she was an ok friend. Well i didn't know that she asked my brother if i liked her but i never told him that i decided against it. So he told her i did. Well she started to tease me about it and i ended up telling her that i don't see her like that. And she said good cuz i don't either. Then proceeded to tell me about the coworker she had been dating.... in a round of 12 to 1 text messages. I was the 1..... she was mad at me but idk why but never talked it out bc my grandfather died three next month and then i got hospitalized so she stopped talking to be for a year. She finally quit her childish behaviors (Sorry looks, rude attitude, ect.) After another female coworker notice and told her to stop bc it was obvious she was being rude for no reason.
Some suggest that this all happened bc she liked me. Well we hung out a few times. Just a friend's. Once she came to the gym with me after work. I sent her home in an uber as i can't drive (vision). I checked the uber to make sure she was home and notice the car was stopped. Then uber sent a message a the car was stopped for awhile. (1.5hrs) i tried calling her to make sure she was OK. Then the trip ended no weird from either. Used the emergency button on uber to summon police (she has epalepsy and has been left due to a seizure before)
I got an angry call from her saying they weere just talking well the cops called me too... they werent talking.... good for her, but not on ky dime.
Petty perhaps, but i did notify uber and they let me know he had been let go....
She thenndecided to tell everyone that i was starting rumors about her sleeping with the uber. I hadnt said a word. I couldve cared less but i was being charged bc the uber was waiting. So basically she outted herself.

I knew he had a crush on me when he waited 8 hours outside of my best friends house to see if I‘m still there and stalked me pretty much for 3 months. He finally stopped after he moved away due to college.

In senior year in high school, I was involved in theater. One of the popular girls (conversely, I was nerdy and overweight) never paid me any mind (And I don't remember her name). But a friend of mine once came up to me very randomly--when everyone else was onstage practicing lines, not paying any attention--and he asked me if I thought I would ever go out with her. I scoffed so loud that everyone heard me, but because they hadn't heard what he initially said, they had no clue what he we were talking about. I was like, "Ha! Yeah right!" Immediately, he looked down, saying, "Ahh," like he was disappointed, and he walked off.
Of course, she probably heard me say that, and there's a small chance that she might have asked him to get my opinion of her. And IF that is true (and I hope it isn't) then I came across as a complete ass. And I am so sorry. (But it was so so random, people. Not just from him, but it was about HER, as if I was in her league.)
But if she liked me and if she had asked me out in person, we could have avoided all that. I would have immediately said yes.
Let that be a lesson to us all. Be direct. Or at least get your mutual friend to ask a better question.

Second story:
I was working at a restaurant while going to college, and I was the go-to trainer for a certain position. I was just minding my own business when a barbie doll walked in. Not really, but that's literally what I thought when the manager brought her over, telling me to train her for that shift (or whatever he said, I wasn't paying attention). A 5'3" blonde barbie come to life. (I was still overweight at this point, but less nerdy)
But she (Ana) was out of my league, and she never seemed to hint that she had feelings for me. But as fate would have it, we became fast friends because she would steal other servers' tables (because they would take ten minutes to introduce themselves to the customers) and so very few people liked her. So when the both of us would show up early for work and eat and the employee table, we talked a lot. During work, that eventually turned to innocent flirting, including some very risque jokes from the both us (which should have been my first clue, but she just seemed like that type of person, so you know, Whoosh!).
And one day, Ana and a mutual friend of ours--a girl--were eating before work, and we were flirting innocently, or I was, and then Ana got up to start work early and our friend turned to me and was like, "Dude, are you blind?"
Well, apparently. Ana later got my phone number, and on my next day off work while I was lounging around watching Game of Thrones, she started texting me. An hour into the conversation, she said she thought she was in In Love With Me!
WTFl?! We hadn't even been on a date. Crazy!
After the Christmas party, I drove her home, and we talked in the car for an hour and a half before she talked me into kissing her. Huge mistake. I did, then she left and I never heard from her again.
By the way, this whole time, she was married.
(She got fired right after that, so I shared maybe two sentences with her after that incident, but that was it. No other contact.)
The girl that I had a crush on for years invited me to the graduation party; in hindsight I think she had interest on me since the time I consoled her for her fear of becoming alone, remarking I would be with her (or something like that).
Sadly she moved to America a month later (That explains those thoughs. Back then I assumed it was her best friend going to other school) and I didn't had phone back then, but at least I was able to say her goodbye in the weekly fair.
My friend died earlier this year. She had a beautiful daughter and achieved her dream of working in phlebotomy.
I'd met her through a mutual friend years ago. I liked her tremendously! Life pulled us apart and we got to where we left comments on FB from time to time. The same friend I met her through revealed she had died last February (2024), followed by "You know she had a huge crush on you, right?" I had no idea! I thought I had no chance with her. The last time he saw her alive, she was working at a McDonald's. My name came up and he said she had a huge smile, asking if I was still single. Had I known, I'd have gotten with her!

I was in high-school on valentines day, they had a donation thing where you could pay a dollar to get a rose sent to someone. I was the outcast of the school, never really clicked and just didn't care about what others thought of me, yet I was kind and helped those i could. So I'm expecting no flower when all of a sudden I get a white rose. This was out there as white wasn't even an offer to be donated. So I asked my small group of friends, they didn't know. Then asked the teacher who delivered and said she didn't know either. To this day that single white rose takes up a corner of my mind and I wonder from time to time who got it for me and why?
