for me scooping with the tip of my toes is what helps me pop them at a decent height and get the full rotation this is very helpful specially down gaps since fs shove can be kinda awkward down shit.
you should explain how to properly do lots of basic grinds and tricks I feel that this is important because they are the building blocks for more difficult tricks
For me it helps when I begin put a toe on an edge, not a heel. No more deck's over rotations, no more bodyvarials to meet a deck. But I do this trick in front on my body (don't know, how to say in other words) with legs raised high. And of course a strong pop of a new deck...
I'm having a hard time landing this trick. I could do them first try in the beginning. Once I learned other shove it variations I kind of "unlearned" front shuvs...
Real shit. Also, people don’t move the back foot far enough back. Pop off the ball of your toes, just like you did here. I just think about it as bouncing my tail off the ground at like a 45 degree angle around up to the bottom my front front foot as I jump backwards. I literally don’t think scoop at all, and it pops high. Fakie all I do is bounce the tail at a narrower angle maybe 30 while also directing the pop more towards the middle. So instead of jumping back it’s jumping diagonally back. Basically the opposite of a Fakie shuv directionally but pop instead of scoop. Fun ass trick
Jonny Groh for me, when I figured out the way to build up tension/pressure before the pop, then releasing that tension into the pop, that was when I was able to suck my legs up as high as I wanted and the board would stay under me.
i usually think your tutorials are really information dense and clear, but i felt like this one was to repetitive, and lacked real information (besides "pop down, don't scoop").
I’ve been doing fs shuvs for a while now but every now and then I have a problem where it wants to do a 360 front shuv. I can’t seem to figure out what I do differently. I even try to emphasize even less on the shuv part and I still run into the same issue. If anyone knows what’s going on I’d appreciate it.
I watch videos and I'm like ayy I'm going to land stuff now. Then I get on the board and I'm braindead. Guess I'll just focus on getting my ollies good up and down stuff
i could do these pretty decently, then i learned how to do 360 fs pop shove its, and eventually i got down the lazer flip but ever since i learned that, i'm somehow unable to do a FS 360 pop shove it anymore, they all turn into back foot only lazer flips now unless the trucks are really loose and the pressure flip part of it kind of stops working, i can't quite understand how i somehow broke that trick in my mind :S
Alexander Rewijk try putting your back foot on the board more, I had the same problem and realized that when I have mostly just my toes on the tail, it would make the board flip more. You may have to experiment with how much of your back foot is on the tail and still be able to get a decent scoop, but I find that placing my foot a little less than centered on the tail helps prevent the board from flipping so much. Hope this helps! (if you haven't already figured it out)
I can kickflip, bs flip, varial flip, 360 flip, heelflip, halfcab heel, and bs heel but cant front shuv to save my life. I suck at anything frontside and there's nothing i can do
It's all about the heighth

My old enemy - FS Shove!
Thanks for the tips. Can you do Dragon Flips?
great video man! do you have any tips on how to stay longer over the board while doing tricks?
Jonny Groh for me, when I figured out the way to build up tension/pressure before the pop, then releasing that tension into the pop, that was when I was able to suck my legs up as high as I wanted and the board would stay under me.
First trick I ever learned
Still skating?
