It’s crazy how pearl has just gone from being a baby into a proper little person! Her sense of adventure is a credit to you, only a child so nurtured would be confident enough to just get on that slide and go! .....virtual pat on the back to you!!! Xx

Perhaps investing in measuring spoons would be beneficial to your cooking? Kitchen spoons do not have the same measurement as actual measuring spoons.

I love how The Duchess of Cambridge recently said that she sometimes finds motherhood lonely, especially with Prince George. When I had my boys nobody ever talked about it, I felt such a failure. PND was also a taboo subject 20 years ago. I love how you show the ups and downs of parenting. If I could have heard someone like you or Catherine talk about it, I would have got help sooner and wouldn't have beaten myself up on a daily basis!

I am so sorry for your loss. Your never alone whilst watching a Louise Pentland vlog. I feel lonely a lot of the time as well, even though I get out of my house for work, I have a very lonely job. I clean for a lot of people who are at work, so know how loneliness feels. I get great comfort from watching vlogs, you feel like you have some friends. Anyway sending you much love and strength and such a sad time. Remember it is much better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Take care . Paulinexxx

One of my favourite things about your vlogs is that your so real and honest with what you say, that’s such a huge quality!
I know I’m really grateful and I’m sure others are that you share what your thinking/ feeling even if you think it’s something negative or that you feel your in a bad headspace. Listening to yourself and what you need and showing that is so valuable to others so Thankyou! ❤️

Was feeling in a bit of the same state actually, lonely even though you’re not alone. And I always come to watch your vlogs because they make me feel cosy. Comforting to know that someone as successful, wonderful and loved as you is feeling the same self doubt sometimes, guess we’re all human and just stumbling through life. Thank you for the laughs and sunshine, and letting us all be part of the journey! This was what I needed tonight :)

I’ve been re-watching your vlogs this morning and last night. I needed a positive pick-me-up. I got to 43:00 in this one and I felt like I knew exactly how you felt. Then when you went to say the word ‘isolated’ I said it one second before...🤦🏻‍♀️🥰 I FEEL YA SISTER. I think it’s something that doesn’t really get talked about in the excitement of having kids and the wonderful emotions and all the goodness that comes along with it. The isolation is a downside and quite confronting when you are sitting there with a cuppa, on your own, for the hundredth time, remembering how you used to be at work and meeting targets, part of a team etc...it’s hard some days. I’m thankful for you. 🙏🏼❤️

Great video all around. Very real and honest. I could tell by your eyes (have watched for years) that something was wrong. Later in vid you confessed to being lonely and I could feel that earlier in it. Lonely sucks. It is triggered by things and super energy zapping. I get the circle talk also in various situations and especially alone. It's partly possibly a PTSD thing but also I'm sure a mom thing and just an" I'm tired" thing. You did a lot with softplay, cooking, caring for ever adventure girl, being sure to teach pearl to be a victim (LOL!), showing your thrifting adventures, your laundry moments and your chef-ventures. You looked genuinely proud that you made something tasty. GOOD job and I'm the same way. It takes time and learning to cook and after awhile you solve your own dilemmas and are ok with tossing things that come out really rank. I currently have two dishes in my fridge that I don't love and feel guilt throwing away so it's in there til I feel like it's timed itself out (how's that for weird thinking). I don't do this intentionally but yep. The earrings are pretty and cool. I love the little hanger part at the top and the iridescent color beads on the 2nd one. They are very you for their sparkle. Pearlie girl is adorable and a handful. You're doing great with her and she'll be easier to have fun with as she grows a bit. She's learning now so yeah it's going to drain the F out of you. Good for you for doing the hand craftiness to just get out some energy. I want to do some also and have several projects planned and supplies but always talk myself out of it saying I have more important things to do. (then when I'm tired from doing "important things" I am finding myself eating too much so want to try having something to do with my hands while watching tv also. Seems like it's that time of year also where people are a bit down and need to do some kind of gathering more regularly. Have you considered having a mom's group meet at your place once a week or something so you have a bit more company and camaraderie with moms of small kids? I'm sure Marie has told you that they have that PEPS group here (I don't have kids but have heard it's pretty amazing). You might have to form one near you with some mums from the area by advertising or something via the school or softplay if they have a bulletin board. Seems like you need some more adult friend outing time as well b/c you need to recharge your fun, naughty , irreverent and mischief side (hope that comes off well). I think that side is an outlet for your feelings and helps you let your hair down a bit mentally. I love all the domestic stuff but I know too that you like it to some extent but then need more so hoping you're getting what fuels your fire intellectually. So glad you're a vlogger as I enjoy the domestic and the intellectual and honesty aspects of your life.

I just loved this video. Pearl is so adventurous going down that slide on her own. Kudos to you Louise for giving her the confidence to be so adventurous. Loved the song before the laundry segment, sing that sound every time you do that segment. You are the best youtuber i know.

I loved this vlog (particularly all the musical intros) sad to see that you’re not feeling so great you definitely don’t need to be tougher, it’s difficult to push away negative thoughts and feelings when you’ve got too keep positive for pearly, it just leaves you ruminating on them for longer. Hopefully some crafts and some time with Liam helped you get into a better headspace. Sending much love (p.s I love all the crafty/charity shop bits)

I totally understand the loneliness of motherhood! You can spend all day literally having a small person follow you around and talk to you and demand your attention, but it's completely different to having another adult around who you can have a conversation with, or vent to, or who can give you a break for a bit. It's a bit of a one-sided communication relationship being a parent of a baby/toddler, as even if they can talk, you can't really have a proper conversation with them about life or your feelings etc, so you start to miss having someone to do that with!
Also your vlogs are never rubbish! I love seeing that mums on UA-cam (especially mums as talented and successful as you) also experience the same sort of mum days that I do, and I'm not alone in the days where I feel a bit frazzled or lonely or frustrated. Thank you for sharing with us and helping other mums to feel less alone in their day ❤️

I have been beading for about 6 months now and I love it. I find it very relaxing and youtube has soooo many tutorials and great ideas! Beware that it becomes addicting and before you know it you have a giant tote full of beads!

I watched the sliding bit four times. 😂 Go Pearl! She was so independent! But my heart was racing too because it looked like she was launching off! Gets to the bottom smiling. And your laugh! That was excellent! 😂

Louise, I just adore you. You’re completely right about what you said about our friend Dick’s comments. I recognize his viewpoint is likely coming from being damaged in his own personal life, and a lack of knowledge. Good on you for calling him out. (It doesn’t always feel comfortable when it’s someone in your close circle of friends). Good on Gareth for doing the same. I think without the constant reinforcement of the message things will take even longer to change. It always makes me wonder whether men who think like this have sisters and/or daughters.
