    About Me:
Hi, I'm Louise! I started this channel in 2009 after readers of my blog (also called Sprinkle of Glitter) suggested I give UA-cam a try. I was instantly hooked and have found my internet playground on here. I make videos about beauty & fashion, positive living, motherhood, lifestyle and occasionally have special guests (friends, kittens or my sweet Daughters Darcy, 8 and Pearl, 1). Hit the subscribe button to never miss a video again!
I try to upload every Wednesday evening and Sunday at 9am!
I chat every day on my other social media (linked above) so do come and say hi!
    Big hugs,
    Louise xxx

Think it’s a very powerful person who’s overcome childhood trauma and grown to be a very strong woman and loving momma who would confront that specimen at the pool, and I think you should be applauded for it.

What you did during the swimming lesson was right Louise. I work as a Nursery Nurse and it is actually everyone's responsibility in public to safeguard children hence why some children are failed by certain services as these things are often overlooked so it was definitely the right thing to do. Xxx

I work in child services and what she did was NOT right. When dealing with a nacissistic parent the last thing you should do - for the safety of the child - is confront someone who may have psychopathic tendencies. She put that child's safety in jeopardy.

Lou you did what’s best in my personal opinion!! Xoxo 💋 you are a gem to the world and I am absolutely proud of you for being a brave human and speaking up for someone who cannot properly defend themselves.
DO NOT let those with opposing opinions to

Pineapplex2 I also work in child services and perceive what she did to be correct, she wasn’t intimidating or shouting, we are taught that it is everyone’s responsibility to safeguard children, she shouldn’t have ignored the perceived injustice?

Louise, I work in the safeguarding world and I absolutely agree with you, that situation must have been terrifying for the child. I agree with if that's happening in public what is happening in private? I would ask to speak to the instructor and suggest that she maybe monitors the situation and the child going forward. And report anything as relevant. Any disclosure/reporting is confidential.
You're a great mum and person! You'd have been commended if you were on that show x

I have been that child and I cannot explain how much I wish someone had done that for me as a child. I agree completely that if he’s like that in public he’s likely worse behind close doors and if he is making you and your child in anyway uncomfortable then you had every right and reason to say something.

I'd have gone sick at him personally. You seem like you were very polite and I don't think I could have kept my distaste to myself. There are other children around, including your own, and his behaviour makes other people feel a certain way, not just his child.

Although it was horrid for you you could’ve been the highlight of that boys day and even you saying soemthing could be the start of him knowing something isn’t right. Was just watching an old Weekly when this popped up, yay! Perfect background video for essay writing ❤️
EDIT: also I think you were absolutely right to do what you did, it was in public and if Darcy said that she was uncomfortable then imagine how the poor child must have felt; you’re absolutely right to say something as a parent to your daughter & someone just generally looking out for other children. And as Liam said, if he was intimidating you and not having a problem with it then who knows what the child may have been feeling. Props to you for having the courage to say something x

Louise thank you for having the courage to say something. I am a therapist in the US and those type of poor kiddos come to my office or they come to me as adults. There is nothing more difficult than dealing with parents that want to point the finger at their kids or everyone else for their problems.

You definitely did the right thing by saying something! If someone had have stood up for me as a child I would have appreciated it so much! If they’re doing things like that in public, they’re most likely much much worse behind closed doors.

Lou, you did the right thing, safeguarding is so important, right or wrong, you don't act that way in public. I've caught a few parents doing that and I've given them such disproving looks that they shut up! You're an angel. Love the cooking 'portion' I'd love to come and cook up a storm for you! Lol. Much love x

Yay loved this weekly as always!! Loving that you're "caring less" in the sense of trying to make things look perfect as honestly I wouldn't have even noticed the stuff in the kitchen if you hadn't pointed it out! So you're definitely saving yourself time rather than spending time cleaning the background to keep the minority of people that would comment on it happy! Also loveee how you're making a proper effort to get into cooking more and it's so nice sharing the journey with you, that alongside sharing your daily to-do lists not only satisfies my nosiness but also makes me motivated to have productive days too if I feel like I'm doing it with you, so thank you!! So awful to hear about the swimming situation but I 100% agree with what everyone said, I could empathise so much with your reaction and conflicting thoughts because I get exactly the same when I've been in uncomfortable situations and just having a million thoughts at once so I hope you're feeling better about it now. Something really heartwarming though after that segment was how you went down to your beautiful family where there is so much love and happiness, and it made me feel super proud of you and excited to have a family of my own one day, an environment full of pure love for each other that you can feel safe in after being in situations like that! Lots of love xxx

"do you want one of these?"
    "Oh that's a yes"
    *Hands snack*
    "Say thank you"
Pearl ignores mum, takes snack and runs
Pearl is my kind of gal 😂, snacks before chats 💞
If these vlogs ever stop I might have a breakdown ✨

Definitely think you did the right thing, as a kid the few times other adults challenged my mothers behaviour was really affirming to me and meant that I still had some trust in other adults growing up even if I couldn’t trust my mother. I think it was really brave of you to say something as well, especially because of your history, because seeing that happen to another child can really bring you back to when it was happening to you and make it so difficult to say something so well done and thank you for standing up for that kid ❤️ also the pasta with Philadelphia is one of my favourite meals! So quick and easy and delicious!

I think you have a kind heart and I think that it is beautiful to have moments of sympathy like these that stem from awful things we went through in life. Maybe nothing will ever make us feel like going through those things was "worth it," but in this one moment perhaps you were able to make a difference in that little boy's life and in his parent, all because you could see yourself in the little boy's shoes.

Very brave of you! It’s uncomfortable to correct another parent but if it feels wrong then it probably is, even if he didn’t realize it. But now he does! If I were doing something to make my child feel intimidated I would be appreciative if someone put me in check and brought me to their perspective. Praying that was the case and not an ongoing matter 🙏🏻❤️ Proud mommy moment for sure!

What you did was the right thing to do. You are, first and foremost, a wonderful Mom and, we Moms have a gut instinct. I have done the same ... and I would do it again.
