That lonely musician phenomenon is so true and why I think the community of drummers is so important!
Love these interviews Nate! Thanks for the insight.
I've been following Mike for about 15 years now on UA-cam and purchasing lesson packages very good I met him in a music store he was a gentleman
Such a nice interview! There is something between Nate’s and Mikes style that works so well in conversation. I’d happily listen to more of this.
Never heard of Mike Johnston until I saw a Meinl cymbal pack of his with his custom ride and just had to buy it. I got an amazing deal and the cymbals are fantastic!
The two UA-cam drummers/educators I watch and learn from the most. Thanks Nate!
mike johnston really is my first online drum teacher
Great conversation about what really matters. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Youre really killing it with this kind of content lately. This is a really cool interview that answers a lot of questions regarding todays drummers in the age of social media. Great content.
2 AMAZINGLY inspirational people in my drumming life...thanks Nate!
Thanks Nate for the great interview
Mike always comes with a great vibe, passion and great insight
This is so nice, and beneficial to a creator in my position to see two of my favorite guys in the space talking it out. Thank you for doing this! Sincerely
Love the podcast idea Nate. Keep killin it
What an insightful and intelligent interview. Great topics, it was a pleasure to listen to...
Yeah I love both you guys
That was epic.Thanks.
that's the most positive take on "instagram drummers" i've ever heard
1:55 Mike took the words out of my mouth, but I’m typing this anyways
Excellent question 🙏
My favorite room is Phil Collins beaches does the right things to the music and it's very entertaining
💪💪
🎉🎉🎉🎉💯
Was "chasing" a chase for other youtubers or subscribers?
you two, are BOTH amazing, innovative and authentic ! bravo on this content here today @mikejohnston
Cats!
MJ is one of the few drummers I go out of my way to avoid after he decided to insult some masters of our instrument repeatedly before starting an ass-showing match when people called him out on it. It’s a shame as he’s made such an awesome learning space on the internet.
what does this even mean?
@@Jonezter47 Mike Johnston came onto a drumming forum, publicly insulted a number of high level players (some of which posted regularly on the forum), stating they were washed up and to move on from them, etc… then when people started to respond he doubled down and insulted those people while being rude when it simply wasn’t needed. His actions and words completely went against how he presents himself as an online educator (respectful, says how the guys are bad ass players, open to ideas, on and on)
@@matthewschaeffer4656 Uhhhh do you have a link? Or a search query I can use to look this up? I find this kind of hard to believe
What happened?

An extra thumbs up here. :)
