@@hempev I imagine what was once a thriving section of the town, with Larry's a staple establishment of it. As the years roll by, with the rent in the area raising continuously by greedy land-owners, the small stretch of road Larry's resides on started falling apart. As the shops around closed, there wasn't enough traffic for Larry to keep on a full time serving staff. Soon, his entire bar staff left for better wages and consistent working hours elsewhere.
It amazes me how uncomplicated music can be. Visually LOOKING at the piece while it’s being played, it doesn’t look intimidating to play. Just reminds me of how music can be so freakin SIMPLE and yet still be incredibly effective at eliciting emotion (in this case, despair and dread).
Thank you! And I hate to break the news to ya, but there is no track for the Daydream Tavern. After discussing with the team during the writing of the album last year, they decided that because of the nature of the tavern, having a dedicated/non-changeable track for it wasn't something they wanted. The idea for the tavern would be to use whatever music you wanted/would fit with your Daydream.
@@JohnTheodoreMusic dawww well that’s okay your work with this whole album has been wonderful!! I’m currently in the process of recreating each of the taverns in TaleSpire - currently have the tavern at deaths door completed on TalesTavern :) I think I’ll do Poor Larry’s next…
Really appreciate that. Definitely poured my heart and soul into the project, so super happy that people are enjoying it! And just checked out TaleSpire. Looks awesome!
If you would like to play along, here is a link to download the sheet music!

A waltz macabre
The dance of a dying establishment
@@JohnTheodoreMusic Late-stage capitalism or just a poorly-run bar?

I'm a huge fan of trying to keep things simple, and hopefully memorable.
Beautiful work! I’m crossing my fingers that the daydream is next!

Bummer. Makes sense though. What would YOU use for any given part of the Daydream though? I’m curious what you might’ve done.
