glad you blessed us with another one of these! it's always a pleasure to see how layered a piece of music actually is and then trying to crystalize the single instruments out while they are playing :)

Glad you've enjoyed the series! It's been fun for me going back and reliving the recording experience. Hopefully can work on another big project like this one soon!

I have absolutely LOVED this series! Getting to follow along with the score while the footage of the recording plays -- really hits home how many people you all brought together on this project, which makes it extra magical!! It makes me really emotional! Well done, all!!!!

There really is nothing quite like working with live musicians, and getting to see them play is always something special. I'm glad I've been able to share their performances with everyone. Also, shout out to you and all the support you've given me over the years! ❤

How long did you spend writing all the music (approximately)?
And how long did it take for everyone to learn their part to play it so well?

Hmmm...I spent about two weeks on each track. Then it took me about two weeks to go through and find the parts I knew were going to be recorded with live instruments, clean up those MIDI tracks and export it into Dorico for score parts. And the orchestra site read the whole thing. We did about three or four passes per song with them, but they had never seen the music until the day of recording. Not sure about the other soloists, but pretty sure they were able to get their parts recorded in a few passes as well. Everyone I hired were true professionals and masters of their instruments. Very fortunate to have them on this album 😀
